i have cook up a rom in kitchen and everything is working fine to my likes
but i have one problem

why do i get to drop town menu in Program, Setting ,etc instead of icon
is there a cab am i missing something or do I need to select something in
the Kitchen Package

i am using alex rom which is 3.03

so, let me just understand, you click Programs, or Settings and, instead of opening something, you get a drop-down menu?

actually, for some reason, there is a package called QuickMenu, and for some reason it gets included in the ROM even if you don't want it to, so just delete it from your Packages folder, then you should be good ;)

i dont realy get it, you want to set this image as the wallpaper? is custsk.exe not really working?

no i mean i built a rom in kitchen and the wallpaper sucks
so i wanted to put this wallpaper in the rom itself so that when a flash the rom it automatic come on instad of the htc one

well, you could just load a different theme that has this background (like empex_diamond.tsk) or you could replace the htc background. if you wanted to venture down the second path, i forget what file youre looking for, so i can only help you out with the first method

i am trying to build a rom and having this error messege

"ERROR building BOOT hv"

am i missing something or do i need to install something


i ve already installed dotnetfx the funny thing everthing was working fine a 3 months go

i have built 6 test roms and i still can,t get the battery indicater icon on top of the screen next to speaker icon can someone please tell me which cab do i need or what to select in the kitchen

i am use rom 3.03

Have a look in the registry, can't remember which one, but if you set show clock to 0 the battery indicator will come on...if i remember which .rgu i'll give you a shout.

of course it can be done, either add it to existing provisioning xml, or create new one.

open the rom, find the provisioning xmls (i think its mxipcold oemoperators 100 but may be one of the other ones, i'm just guessing) and find it there.


If its not there, then just add it.
add line like this or change 1 with 0 if its there:

</characteristic>

</characteristic>


(skip the first and last lines if you are adding it to existing one of course)

but i still have a problem i did whar you say below but it still show the HTC theme
i first put in Diamond.Tsk file in Theme - Default
i opened Ervius pachage tool
selected all the apps need then

select Txt Editor pick out line Theme - Default\config_operator.txt
end edited line EXEC:\WINDOWS\cusTSK.exe \WINDOWS\BOGUS.tsk to
TSK: \WINDOWS\Dimond.tsk saved it made sure it was read only folder file

made the rom flashed it and still the same boring Theme

ok man, this is what you do:

put the .tsk in the Theme - Default package
make sure that Theme-Default is selected when you cook the ROM
open config_operator.txt from the Theme - Default package

replace this line:
Code:

EXEC:\WINDOWS\cusTSK.exe \WINDOWS\BOGUS.tsk

with this:
Code:

TSK: \WINDOWS\the_name_of_the_tsk_that_you_put_in_this_ folder_goes_here.tsk

now save it. if it tells you that you can't save it, make sure it is not read-only, then save it, then make it read-only again

also, look around your OEM folder for Config_PT.txt, Config_operator.txt, Config_AP.txt, and Config.txt and delete them if you find them

ok i went ito Kitchen folder then Oem\ then in OEMAPPS\ and found Config_AP
so i deleted it but the other file config.txt, config_operator.txt, and config_pt.txt are not in could,nt find them
