Hi!

Advanced Configuration Tool 3.0 is now available, I did a lot of research and disassembling to give you access to more than 200 tweaks, this new version is fully compatible with HTC Diamond. It includes TouchFLO 3D customization and supports TouchFLO 3D soft-keys mapping.

Oops!! :o I even didn't notice this detail... I will fix it in the next update. Thanks for reporting it!

For others questions, yes this version need .NET Compact Framework 3.5, you can safely uninstall older versions, if Advanced Config. is already incuded in your ROM it will simply update it.

Fixed. Removed the file in question from startup folder, all good now. Not sure if it was related in any way to this, but it started happening right after this was installed.

But it seems that I don't need to install "a few" just this one because it seems it covers almost everything. Am I right?

Another question is that as soon as I finalized all the settings and did a soft reset (to activate the new settings), I can uninstall the software whenever I want? Not that I don't want it, it somehow occupies my storage memory (not internal memory) space and I am in red :-). BTW, anyway to make my device storage memory back in green? Seems like I have been in red all along and I only own this thing for 3 days.

You can enable Call History tab only if your TouchFLO 3D version has this tab.

Th next update will have Smart Touch settings (with a more usable and customizable interface). But I didn't have time yet to play with it... Could someone point me to some info about Smart Touch entries? (especially the meaning of the different modes).

Thanks for this grate app, Its realy nice.
There is one thing i want to be able to change, when i enter phone mode ex by tap on the word phone in the bottom left corner of my screen. (the word in the right corner is program) the to words canges, phone canges to videocall and program to menu. I would be able to change the word videocall to contactlist.
videocall should be under menu. when I enter phonemode I realy need my contactlist. is ther any way to fix this? I have tried to disable videocall but there was no change. please help

This is an excellent tool which makes Touch Diamond easy and better to use.

Could you pls add the following tweaks also:
1. A tab displaying all appointments and Tasks for the Day like SPB Diary today plug-in etc or a tab to incorporate custom Today plug-in.
2. A backup and restore option for weather settings and Program launcher tab?

These items have to be configured every time after HARD RESET or ROM Upgrade for impulsive ROM users like me who install and test every ROM

My key mapping for long press end key doesn't work, still maps to the quick menu which was what I originally set it as.

Only solution I found for hiding sim contacts is:

1. Download en install this .cab file on your Diamond: http://www.sto-helit.de/index.php?module=download&action=view&entry=65
2. Copy text below in notepad and save this as HideSim.mscr

3. Place the HideSim.mscr script in your \Windows\Startup folder
4. After each soft rest the script will be executed and after 60secs your sim contacts will be hidden.

I use this script myself and works like a charm.

No it doesn't. I upgraded to 1.93 now and still use the script without any problems what so ever. Just install and say goodbye to your sim contacts :)

I'm using this config tool for the first time. I went trough all the menu items, but did not change anything except 1 thing->enable wifi in standby mode.

After that, I did a soft reset. Now when I long press the end key it does not lock my device. Previuosly it did work, but now it doesn't.

Can anyone help me how to restore the lock functionality? I have a Touch pro.

Advanced Config. changes only the settings you explicitly modified, so if you didn't change anything excepted than enabling Wi-Fi in standby mode I don't think that Advanced Config. is the cause of your problems.

Forgot to mention, I also removed 2 items from comm. manager and added another 2. But that was all I modified.

Normally Advanced Config. works ok even if there is no connecton configured, it was tried on different device and different connections.

For those who have this problem, could you tell me which ROM are you using and send me an export of the following registry keys:

Had to do a hard reset of the phone due to phone messing up becuase of the advanced config. All i did was install it, turn on geo tagging and some smart touch features. The phone suddenly started running extremely slow. Home tab took 4 mins to load. And the touch screen wouldnt respond. Cannot think what caused this. I havent played with any settings for it to mess up. Very odd

Thanks everyone for your contributions so far. I have loaded the Glass Clock, and the 3d Icons shown in the Touch Pro Theme thread. I'm digging the look of my device, and love this phone more and more every day.

As for my wife's Raphael, she wants a full theme (the "Girly Theme" of course). I have been reading everyone's praise of the "Advanced Configuration Tool", which I have installed version 3.2.0.0 on her device. The fun part is finding where to upload a *.theme file to the device.

As for the tool itself, I had to even install on mine. I love the performance tweaks!

So I'm unsure, is it the new Advanced Config or is it my new ROM which is making this to fail?

2) How do I get "smarttouch" to work? I have no idea how it's supposed to work. When I click on the SmartTouch menu item, it just shows a bunch of applications e.g. adobe reader. I then go into adobe reader and when I use the wheel, it still uses it for zoom and not scrolling? What I am supposed to enter or do in the SmartTouch menu to get scrolling to work?

This program wont start because I dont seem to have dotnet 2.0.

I have been looking all over the net but couldnt find an answer to the following question, so I hope you guys can help me out.

Is there a way to install dotnet 2.0 or higher without having to use a computer (Activesync). If so, could you please post a link te the cab.

If you can only install dotnet on your mobile with a pc, how do I do this? I have a vista pc with mobile device center.

i to get this error, so after reading this hole thread.
my conclusion is i too have to install this .net thingy.

so i downloaded the NETCFSetupv35.msi in my desktop computer.
now how do i install this in my htc diamond??

i to get this error, so after reading this hole thread.
my conclusion is i too have to install this .net thingy.

so i downloaded the NETCFSetupv35.msi in my desktop computer.
now how do i install this in my htc diamond??

Do i have to transfer these files(NETCFSetupv35.msi) to my htc and then run the application from htc? or am i not getting it. Sorry i'm not that technical.

once downloaded connect device and sync via activesync, and then run the netcf file which will auto run files onto device watch device screen for when ready to install

Heard alot of good things about the prog and after installing an official HTC ROM yesterday to replace my Vodafone one, I'm keen to try this.

If I don't like it for any reason, can it easily be TOTALLY uninstalled ??

I have the same problem. i mapped the Long Press End and Long Press Power to same programe but only the later works. Strange thing is that Long_End.lnk and Long_Power.lnk are both in the Device\Windows folder. please help.

You can enable Call History tab only if your TouchFLO 3D version has this tab.

I use stock rom as in my signature.
It came with TF3D 1.2.34591.1_1813.6, but this version seems not to support call history tab.

Any chance to get a newer version of TF3D as a cab installer, or do I have to change to a cooked rom?

I've been using your program for as long as i can remember and it was selfish of me to never thank you so thanks for this amazing application. Especially with the newer versions, i have no need for Kaisertweak anymore.

I'm not sure how open to suggestions you are but i'd like to give mine in case you do look at them. First, it'd be great if there was an option to "check for updates" that would connect to your website/server and check for the latest version so that we may download the latest ones via your app. The second (and last) was the option of more key mapping perhpas. Maybe you could include press and hold of the PIE, Messaging, windows, and ok buttons (i know there's a whole bunch of programs out there that do it, but if your tool had this, it'd be nice to eliminate them).

Once again, great job on on this great universal tool.

Great Software.
Two issues:
1 - can you include date format "dd-mmm-yyyy" so that it will display as 20-Sep-2008?
2 - I "lost" the CommManager background after changing some settings there. Even after reverting to default setting, the background is now White in color. Any help please.

1) What is the difference between Pressure Threshold and Finger Sensitivity?

2) What is the maximum setting for each?

I've been slowly increasing each and it gets a bit more responsive but I'm wondering if I can crank it too high and mess anything up.

Or if one is supposed to go higher and one lower for better responsive (ie. less pressure)

I thought lower numbers meant less pressure but then I darn near had to use a hammer on the phone to get back into the tool and crank the numbers up.

Okay guys...I've done quite a bit of research (maybe not good enough?) and couldn't figure out how to add a city to the weather tab on the Diamond. I have added the accuweather code (Racine, WI, USA = us/wi/racine/53401) soft reseted it but that didn't work. I also added the city name on the appropriate box and nothing.

Any help is greatly appreciated it!

I just started using this tool a day ago on my HTC mogul..everything worked fine...UNTIL, I uninstalled Opera Mobile and I used the file association tool..now my PIE refuses to load ANY of my links??? Recently installed ACT v3.2 and am very impressed with it but I do have one question that may or maynot be something to do with it.

Since installation I have had a couple of instances of an unexpected flat battery after leaving the phone several hours, overnight etc.

Could this software have anything to do with this or is it pure coincidence ?

I am running Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond ROM by OliNex and radio 1.00.25.05 if this may make a difference.

Probably not. The changes you make using this software may, however, very well lead to unexpected (and unwanted) behaviour.

hey... got kind of a big problem that i at the moment don't have an answer to,..

inastalled adv conf tool 3.2 on HTC Polaris, the first crash i had was when I enabled animation for menus... (the start menu turned black and the polaris froze), but when i managed to start the advanced configuration tool i unchecked it and it was ok,...

the MAJOR PROBLEM accured when I set the touch screen sensitivity, because the touch part of the screen is inresponsive,.. meaning it does not work,.. tryed very hart pressing but it doesn't do it.. the problem is because i can't reach eg start menu or the lower 2 shortcuts with hard button cursor (the wheel)... gestures work however, so i can call the touch flo cube but am not able to select anything, and sam thing goes for enetering pin,.. so i'm not able to make phone calls at the moment.. did few hard resets, and uninstalled the adv. conf. tool but nothing helped... so really really someone plesa help ...

Hi all, checked the s/w but could not find a tweak to de-activate the irritating screen black out whilst using the phone on a "Diamond".....I realise it was in Diamond Tweaks, but does not appear with Schaps.
BTW I can understand that this caters for all phone, not just a Diamond! :D

thanx for the great app. though through using other tweaking programs i found some tweaks that i would like for you to add to your software: For starters i would really like a tweak to disable the screen going OFF whenever i make a phonecall, i found it in a tweakingprogram for the diamond called "diamondtweaks" which is also found on the forum. And a way to change the two soft keys in the home screen of TF3D (also an option in "diamondtweaks") The Diamondtweaks software is great though it comes with a bug which i don't seem to be able to resolve.

Hi,

Installed Advanced config to my O2 XDA Ignito and after upgrading to .Net v3.5 all apeared to work well.

However when I try and change any settings they don't stick. For example;

1) After telling it to not show my sim contacts I get a yellow exclamation mark instead of a green tick and nothing changes when I do my soft reset.

2) After asking it to show the call history tab on my today screen it doesn't.

Any ideas???

I have the stock htc rom...old i know, it comes with TF3D version 1.0.1630.23 which is probably the reason Call history does not work...but i am also interested in updating TF3D only, without having to do a full ROM upgrade
