Upgrade ROM for T-Mobile MDA Compact IV and keep OEM Apps and Settings (Branding)

How would i upgrade to the HTC 1.93 GER ROM an keep all the OEM APPS that are installed by t-mobile.

Is there any way to extract them, install the 1.93 GER Rom and reinstall the OEM Branding (Apps, Skins, etc.)

only when t-mobile would provide an update. and even then all the setting you made would be reset. every rom update resets the device.

if it is only for the (ugly) magenta UI, i guess you can install that over the black manila. that cab should be flying around here somewhere.
