i have not this problem, have you got your tones on storage card/my documents?
And try to change tones on seetings/sound&notifications/notifications,
by manila seetings seems not want change tones ever, only after a reset...nothing is perfect;)

Anybody knows how to add bluetooth icon on task bar of 1.5 Vanila? Hard enough without it because simetimes i forget to off bluetooth when i needn't it. It is drying battery soon enough:-(

after 1 day of using 1.5 full, my device won't boot after a soft reset. It's locked @ boot screen, the one with "touch diamond" and the red info on down-right corner. Initially I receive a message after soft reset with some instructions (press SEND to soft-reset or other key to continue, your device will be, etc).

after hard-reset it started-up.

activesync problem is solved in 1.5 full.

1st of all thanks for your ROMs - I have been using them since Polaris.

I run into the SMS issue even with more strange symptoms.

Running 1.5 Vanilla, made Hard-Reset after flashing.

SMS come to Manilla but they are not visible in Messaging inbox. Clicking on the message does NOT open the message :-(, however after reboot the and clicking the message in Manilla the message opens well. However, when new message comes same as above.

Moreover outgoing messages stay in outbox and are not delivered.

I expect that the messages database file could get somehow corrupted :-( or

UPDATE: it seems to me that Manilla (and message send and delivery process) and tmail SMS service are using different services or datafiles. When I open the message from manilla in the t-mail I can move it to "Inbox" of the SMS service and that it becomes invisible for manilla.

UPDATE2: HardReset, two hours of re-customization and it is working well now!

What you said is only good to enable the manila landscape visual...but, talking about an old version of this one, launcher is not shown.
Swtos do you think is not possible to activate it on older version?

I use 1.4 full now for a couple of days and it's working pretty good!
Only problems found so far:
- AS keep reloading even when closed. Guess this is a WM build issue.
- Button settings are wrong. Attached a screenshot to show you. When closing the screen you'll get: "Each program button...". One solution is to set them all to <none>. Except the last option since that actual works on the Diamond.

Hi Swtos!First time i use your Roms, here are some bugs /impressions:

- Alarm sound wont sound if mobile is in silence/vibrate even if you have checked the option to do so.
- Organising the programs icons with folders(like office,applications,games..) would be cleaner/nicer in my opinion
- The program to rotate the screen using gsensor is quite good, it rotates the screen very fast (dunno if its the ROM or the program) but its too sensitive.

Swtos, I'm a fan of your ROMs since 1.0 full. This ROM is my backup solution when I'm not satisfied with your newer versions.

Thank you for finding time to answer my questions.

There is one "bug" present in every ROM I've tried, except the stock one. Sometimes, after a call, the end call button acts like right key and believe me, I don't press the right key. I observed that if I'm waiting a couple of seconds after the call ended, before pressing again the "red" button to exit the phone app, this problem does not manifest. This is annoying, because during the day I don't have this precious time and more than that I want to use my Diamond in normal conditions.

How to Change enlarge menu & Taskmgr Highlight colors to original Grey :
Use a Reg Editor and make the following changes :

So far it is only Bepe (with his Gnes) and yourselves (with Flip_it) who have the landscape menu fully operational on a Diamond. There are existing Rotation-controlling applications being developed such as GNes and more actively (the fantastic) Brins0net_Gyrator that could greatly benefit from your expertise sharing. Certainly Flip_It sounds like a splendid application that could add some needed competition and development into this area.

Like had previously happened with "AnswerKey Disabler", "Background on every TF3D tab", "Screen-Off during call" and other long-running issues for which fixes were discussed, developed and shared, perhaps you could start a new "Landscape Manila on Diamond - solved" thread and help the many users looking for a solution.

Many persons are asking about manila landascape. They (me too, I obviously know) are doing that for a long time. If no one responded it i think that's quite normal we continue this way.
About your "answer purpous": NO ONE HERE was able to use your rtandom access cab file, so...or we are all noob (and I think it's the first choise) or your cab do not work well. Anyhow, I really can't understand why you can't spend TWO (if your app really works well) WORDS, I said TWO!!!, to let us know how to use it. Share this way, not share, ...., is pretty the same thing.

Apart this:
I CAN PROUDLY SAY THAT I'VE TRIED ALL ROMS PUBLISHED ON THIS FORUM AND, WITHOUT A DOUBT, I CAN SAY YOUR (SWTOS) ARE BEST ONES ON THE ENITIRE WWW (1.5 Venilla is the best one for me, good battery management, awesome ram management, very very seepy) and so on I can justa say a VERY VERY VERY big THANK YOU for your work. Without it my "comunication world" was, REALLY!, more ugly...

this is the second time I try your rom, a lot of improvement. 1.6 is sure a great rom. but I have experienced one problem after I played for a while, the device cannot be shut down when I press the shut down button and press "yes". this happened on your early rom version as well, never happened on the offical rom. it might be because the third party applications I have installed, but I install the same apps on other roms without any problem.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it in this thread.
I installed the full version and loved everything about it, except that I get no data connection at all. I thought it might be the radio, but I have tried two different ones with the same result. I had the same problem with the othert "wildberry" ROM you were a part of.
Am I missing something obvious?

I tried 1.6 light, and I like this rom a lot, using it with the vga HTC home plugin.

I did notice though that the volume buttons do not lock when device is locked.
This is the same with Dutty's rom, but Swiftblades rom locks the volume buttons ok.

Any thoughts?

I analyzed both this app "flip-it" and the dll and the bepe's gnes ones, and seems to be the same application..., the only differences between the 2 applications are:

I'm getting used to my Raphael more and more each day. I too had the same problems as you, and I am no0b at all things Windows Mobile/XDA (as you may be able to tell by the post count haha.

Okay, how did I fix my data connection problems? Well, on the Raphael (Touch Pro), go to
Settings then choose All Settings tap the Connections tab tap Connection Setup choose your country and telephone operator/provider
then click OK to automatically configure your device.

It will ask you to restart/soft-reset once it's done.

After the restart, go back to the Settings page, choose Communications, and you will find that if you tap Data Connection it will come up with a quick screen. I just tapped OK there, and after a bit of a wait, my Data Connection through my network provider was up and running.

Hope that helps.

I really miss the BT indicator when BT is on. I'm using the 20721 v1.0. I don't use any dialer, just the WM6 standard dialer that comes with the ROM.

Can't you give me a hint wich DLL is responsible for showing this?

Found the answer by testing myself.. ..the BT icons seem to be in the Diamond Dialer Package. The Video Package from the first post doesn't work.

They are just registry changes. So it hardly takes in any space...

Swtos, awesome ROM (I'm using 1.6 Full).

My only complaint is that the battery drains quite a bit faster than with my last ROM (Dutty's). I have not changed radios at all.

Other than that though, it's bug-free as far as I can tell so I'll take the lesser battery life for sure! Congrats on a great ROM.

Just take a look at the language codes. I kept the 0409 and 0413 lines and files. These are equivalent to English and Dutch. You will also notice that GER stands for German and so on...

Ok, i liked the vannila 1.0 rom, mainly because of the volume control, I don't undersand why people cook the diamond style volume control in, i can't alter the volume during a call, and i find it highly annoying when the volume screen takes over everything, can this either be removed or disabled? or is there any other roms that don't have it!

also, is it just me or does diamond hologram not work on any of swtos's roms?

Check the Hologram thread. You'll find a registry tweak to run the program. This does mean that you have to change the driver for the graphics.
Can't say there that I've noticed any changes..

my benchmarks shown that is a simple fast rom (e.g. slower than the wildberry)
but "feeling" shows that is faster than any other rom ....
When i'm trying to fine tune cashes, i think that slows down a little...
So, leave it as is and use it for 2-3 hours to view the real potential.

Anytime you have a problem with a .NET 3.5 application, make the following :


1. Use a registry editor and remove the key (folder) :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\.NETCompactF ramework]

2. Reinstall NETCF3.5 (look at my cab section - 2nd post - )

except for the msging... its back to the drag and select instead of the one where you could select multiple msgs by tapping.

The font that manila uses to display sms in TF3D is huge though... makes it hard to read long msgs

Also, the t9 dictionary seems to show the first letter of each word typed as your word.
for example if the word "swtos" (presuming its already in your dictionary), the word pwtmp shows as the first entry...

anyway to change these things?

i am not able to run netcf 3.5 compatible apps like gyrator, gremote etc.
the error is something like token ring 3.5.00 blah blah

I would prefer Internet sharing and games on this.

Pls if you could provide cabs for Internet sharing, Solitaire etc, for the same.

I've installed muns HD Manila on this ROM (Naked version Dec 24, 2008).

In TF3D in Camera tab it says" albumSearcher cannot be opened" and doesn't display any pictures
In TF3D in Music tab it says" Audiomanager_eng cannot be opened" and doesn't list ant songs

It seems these to files have been deleted from ROM. can you provide the same.

Sorry, to bother you with a subject irrelevant with your amazing ROMS but I guess you can help me somehow.

I have a Polaris flashed with udk's syrius R4 ROM and it contains the dialer identical with your 3G video telephony cab although it's QVGA and does not support Video calls, although it contains the relevant skin images for video calls.

First I would like to ask you if there is your 3g Video Dialer for QVGA instead VGA?
Secondly if you believe there is an way to modify/merge or use components from this VGA dialer to produce a similar QVGA video dialer.

I have already tried to install the VGA version and it works ok - make video call etc - apart from the icons of course that it was a mess.

and am sure you know that netf 3.5 is not there or something related to that as i cant use galarm and many other such applications. any idea by when'll you publish it. and dont keep it protected if possible as some like me wish to cook it too.

Installed this ROM and the Net CF 3.5 but it is still giving an error on programs that need it to run.

The error is -

File or assembly name
'System.Windows.Forms, Version=3.5.0.0,Culture=neutral,

one of its dependencies, was not found.

I get this on all the programs.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Also it won't let me completely uninstall Net CF when I tried a reinstall.

Hey, tried installing the Manila Landscape cab, but the only thing it did was to remove all my customizations. It removed my glassclock, removed my background4allpages, removed all programs in the quicklist, removed the "contact" soft key for Yota Contacts, and also it changed the position for messages from being before email to last position, behind programs :S. The backgroundchanger still works though, and my changescreen app works.

It didnt even flip. Though I used changescreen instead of that flip it application?

I've uninstalled it now but it's still the same, what to do?

EDIT: It didnt want to uninstall the first time, but now it did. Everything is back as normal except background4allpages and glassclock, which I can't even uninstall and reinstall :s it just says that it could't uninstall properly. Think I'll do a hard reset tonight. But I'd still like some help to get lanscape working. Thanks

Im having a strange problem with 2.2 naked and bluetooth.

Everything works fine (adding devices etc) until I add my BT Headset (plantronics) and soft reset. After that, the bt devices list is always empty and I can't even add new ones since the add new entry is missing too.

The Headset works, BT in general works, I just can't manage my BT devices anymore without hard resetting.

Any ideas?

OK, after some more testing, it seems that the problem occurs when you add a second bluetooth device. Not sure if its related to the headset or if any two devices would do - I added my headset then added my laptop and lost the list.

Problem exists with 2.2 light as well.

Swtos Im having some issues with the latest light rom...

* Activesync keeps starting every few minutes. Tried the task manager hack with no luck
* Font in incoming calls won't show greek letters
* Settings+ won't run. I tried installing .NET 3.5 again but no go...
* I can't set a normal sound for incoming Text messages... and vibration doesn't work

Any ideas?

There are many threads that solves activesync issue.
I think that fake exchange server is the best one.
If you want to show greek letters on incoming call screen,
change helvetica fonts with cour.ttf (search xda for how to)

Alright, i'll try to fix them myself. I did hard reset first thing after flash btw :)

what about the incoming text issue? I can't select any descent sound from the menu (only some beeps) and vibration won't work [barely vibrates for like 1/10 of a second if ever].

I'm missing all my incoming texts now :p

Great fast and stable rom. And I have treid quite a few.
One thing that I have done before (some time ago) is add or remove icons on the TouchFlo. I would like to remove the Call History icon but just can't remember how to do it. Anyone???
Second thing is the Notification Sounds. I seem to be missing quite a few of them...especially the one I always use for new text message's and new e-mail...Alert-Glass1.

I have install , V2.6 Full. 2 problems.
1. There is not a sound when a sms has come .
2. You can not install transparend icon. (Doesnt work the 3icon patched manila files). Any soloution?

I have found some issues with it that I hope you can solve in a later version or tell me how to resolve it locally:

1 - When connecting via the USB, the question about how to connect (USB, Activesync or internet Sharing) is not showing up. Also after changing the settings in the connection settings (Ask about connection Type) it still does not work.

2 - The calculator is not registered and I do not have a license. Maybe you can keep the standard calculator.

3 - In some of the screens (for example: when a call is received) the font is different, it is not very well readable. I liked the standard font.

I hope anyone can help me, so I can enjoy this ROM fully.

Thanks for all your roms. I have personally had your cooked mio A701 roms and now Swtos Diamond, they are by far the most stable( sorry to all the other chefs). I wish i had more time and expertise to do a litle bit of cooking myself. I am keepimg myself posted though.
May i ask what is the most reliable radio for your roms and our Greek habitat??. Moreover is 21042 a safe update in terms of daily usage? What do you or anyone else in this forum suggest. Please reply because this thread is getting enormous and our Diamonds will be fried much sooner than expected.

I'm using build 21042 and everything was great until I took a call using my BT headset. After the call I have no sound at all. The only thing that fixes this is a soft reset, until I take another call and the problem returns. Any ideas?

I agree. Using HBH-iv840 (sony headset) i have the same problem.
Power off and on bt headset i have sound again.
Using htc bhm-200 i have no problem with sound.

Been looking for a light but update ROM of just updated default apps that come with the default HTC ROM's. No extras etc.

Read this page for 2.7 and all it says is "Only some sounds & images are missing"

I install thinking great, then find apps preinstalled that are not default, and find customised Clock which I don't personally like.

If you want to keep people from wasting time flashing an unsuitable ROM then please provide more details on what has been changed please.

I found that a Xip file was wrong. After that, i made an improved release V2.71. BT Headsets are functional again (tested on Sony HBH-IV840 & Htc Bh-m200).

You may "remove" a file in rom by replacing this file with a zero size file & the same name.

Dude calm down if anything you should be thanking the Chef don't be such a dick. Swtos is a long time respected Chef. If you don't like his ROMs than go flash another ROM. He has no obligation what so ever to even cook the ROMS, remember everyone in XDA does help for free and of good will, no one here is your employee.
And by the way this is a very light ROM.

I found that a Xip file was wrong. After that, i made an improved release V2.71. BT Headsets are functional again (tested on Sony HBH-IV840 & Htc Bh-m200).

there were "4 unread text messages" in Today screen at the end of the day but nothing in inbox, which must have been SMS as I dont have configured any email adress.

I am facing a similar problem. After flashin SWTOS naked, hard reset, and then restored my messages using PIM backup, but nothing shows up in the Inbox.
However, if I connect my mobile to my PC using Jeyo mobile, I can see the messages on screen, only problem is that I cant see them in my phone !!!
Swtos : Could you please suggest a possible solution to this problem ? (I have done hard reset etc.)
