View Full Version : Best ROM for a parent?

I'm planning on giving a parent a Wing to use as their standard phone. However, although they will love the keyboard and the robust features, they will not love the slowness and small and complex buttons.

Is there a rom which would be great for alleviating some of this pain? Perhaps a front interface which does almost everything, with larger and more simplistic designs?

Thanks!

Think you should get a clean rom and then customize it yourself.

theres not really a rom for parents, persay

i'd get a clean rom and throw pointui on it (it's pretty easy to use). What you want is the software though. Depending on what kind of parent they are (soccer mom, whatever), you might want to throw some software into the mix. I'd recommend that you go buy pocket informant, its quite beastly.

I gave my 64 yr old father a Wing with Aserg's 12 on it. He loves it. I would either go with Aserg's Rom or ITJE's Roms... but for a member of our older generations, I'd probably say HERALD.ASerg.WM6.1.WWE (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366845)
