Restoring my Startup Animation

On my TILT, I am getting no startup animation even though I set:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation - enabled set to "1"

any ideas?

I didn't muck with the .gif or .wav files this reads from so they should work...
