Making the ROM in 3 colors has become too much work for me. So this thread also has a poll to see which color will be chosen for my ROMs from now on. For now I'll post only the Black version. It will last 5 days. After the poll ends, I'll post also the winning color (if it's not Black).
I'll be releasing an Ultra light ROM, and as you can all imagine it would be even more work for me to make it in 3 colors.

Vijay today toggle works properly in this build (it had the problem also, but I was able to solve it).
To select multiple SMS in messaging, go to "menu->select messages" and choose the option you need (it's like the selection in contacts).

Finix light black 3.6 has 24.4 MB free after first boot (and customization). Finix light black 3.5 has 27.3 MB free under same conditions. List of processes memory consumption show no viable difference between two versions. So , a bit weird.

That is an excelent idea :D..FinixNOver why dont you do a base rom and upload the complete skin pack in a cab file since you have all the images at 3.4 version :) ? this way everyone still can choose the proper colour they want..

You can ask tnyynt how he implement in his rom Assertive Memory Management, cause it is great feature IMO! (of course if he tell you :p ) What it do?:
ASM cleans memory after app close
Please consider adding ASM to your rom.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't making use of the available memory to increase performance better than just having it available and unused?

I can understand those that need the extra available memory to run special apps, but I can run all the SPB and resco tools, tomtom 7, pocket informant, opera etc etc and I've yet to experience an out of memory problem. My belief if that the OS should manage resources without the user having to 2nd guess it..

I'm currently running FInixNOver's 3.5 normal, and very very happy with it. It does what it's supposed to.. but I'll upgrade to 3.6 anyway :)

i have an idea, instead of you creating the rom version in every colour, why don't you just create the base rom in {insert colour here} and have the other colours as additional CABs?

I like your Grey SOOOO MUCH because of the 3G dialer and the Comm manager.

So, why don't you create a rom, say in black, then have the grey and green theme as additional CABs, and the dialer and other stuffs.

How about blue? I love ttynt blue schemes, much more usable than all those dark themes in any light condition. Since ttynt is stopping development, and I believe his and your rom are quite close, would there be a way to take over his blue theme?

Ideally, I would like to see a nice bright white theme, that would make the phone usable in sunlight. To be honest, with such a bad screen, I don't understand the obsession with black themes, unusable in sunlight.

Don't bother asking the question, nobody care. Better you flash first and test if the function is working. If not working, you can complaint here, finix will attend to your problem. I know it's like a gamble and you have to do alot of reinstallation but that is how thing works here. We have to accept the fact.

Someone already asked me this same question a while back (I just don't remember at which ROM thread).
The answer is quite simple though. I could make the cabs so you were able to install the one you want but I haven't done so, because I was afraid it would compromise the ROM's performance. As soon as I have more time, I'll look into it, and really see if it's possible without making the ROM much slower.

Well, as you well said, blue is the color for tnyynt ROMs so, I'm not even considering to use it (I'm already cutting back on my ROM colors, so...), but if the skin pack cab idea works, I might consider asking tnyynt for his skin pack to include it as another choice.
Another already answered question. If you have been following my work, you would know the answer for it:
REQUEST: How about a WHITE theme? With summer here, screen reflection can be a total drag; none of the top XDA chefs seem to go for a white theme (with black text). Plenty of blues and greens... maybe there is a technical reason.

So if it is possible... FInixNOver 3.5WhiteLight... could be great!!

I really is a good idea, and I put some time and effort into it a while back, but came to the unfortunate conclusion that there are limits to what you can do. Many changes would be necessary to the task bar icons, system colors... I stopped trying to develop the idea because I wasn't able to get a satisfying result to what i was trying to achieve.
So, yes, I think we can say hasn't been done yet due to a technical reason.
And the so called obsession for the black themes, is in fact, a way to try to save your device screen life. Well I also love it in black!! :D

It's unpolite of you to say that nobody cares about answering. I always try to provide good support for my ROMs, and if the answer doesn't come sooner it's because I don't have more available time. I have been watching these FinixNover theads since hellonasty stopped cooking ROMs for Trinity.
Finally the day has come, I've succeeded in crashing my old Mary 3.6 for good (it's what you get when you install every cab you find interesting).

FinixNover: Your ROM is great!!!

Everything's working has it should!!! (including ALL Bluetooth's functionalities)

Changes i've made:
- FreeMemory was originaly quite low... I've changed for "Stability Settings" using SKTools. Still fast and programs like Opera9.5 stopped bugging me clamming for free memory.
- Turned off Message Threading (this is not for chatting... for that use MSN :P)
- Unticked "Use unicode if needed" in SMS/MMS config. Otherwise it hould reduce Characters per SMS to 96.

I'll keep posting for future usage issues.

I tried these changes too. Although Advanced Config 3.0 suggests that these are the "advised" settings, I noticed responsiveness to be degraded, e.g. scrolling the icons in the Programs group was slower, standard navigation including the Start menu also appeared to be slower. I've set mine back to these settings and it's fast again:

file system filet cach: 2048 sectors.

Anyone else noticed the same (or different)?

Hi there Guys,

I just flashed the new Rom, excellent piece of work except for one thing. I want to change my Trinity lock code but there is no link in the settings. There are Key Lock and Lock icons but they take you to the keypad screen and the reset password link is not highlighted.

Has anyone had this problem or is it just my great luck??? Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same "Closing Message Issue" when using Autocomplete PT v2 (from portalPPC)... This problem occured even in older ROMs (like: hellonasty's MARY 3.6)... haven't found any working solution... just have been manually adding words to the built-in autocomplete... if there is a faster/simpler way to do it, I would be gratefull.

Thanks a lot FInix, I really like your ROM. But since using ver3.5 Normal, my D810 sometimes restart it self and stop responding :D

You should check your network settings in phone settings to see if the sms service number is properly configured.

Just a note about QuickGPS: Although QuickGPS has been modified to download the file correctly, it actually does not speed up the fix time of the GPS. The GPS chip in the Trinity is not able to use the information from the downloaded file, so the program is not really useful on the Trinity. :(

I really wish it were able to do so. There are times it does take too long to link up, ie: in a big city with buildings all around, etc...

Not sure if you've installed FTouch or FTouch SL, but if so, you need to disable it before running Align Screen. Then re-enable it after. If you don't have it installed, then it's something else.

I have been using this rom since it was first released back in August and have loved it. Just recently I have been using the Trinity as a modem for my TomTom GO's gprs traffic service. Unfortunately this has highlighted a problem in that bluetooth keeps turning itself off. Also Comm Manager and Bluetooth settings don't always agree as to its state.

Is there anything I can do about this or do I need to try another rom?

I'm using this ROM (3.6 Normal) since it came out and I frequently use Internet Sharing to my Laptop. It works like a charm! I've been using mainly the USB connection but the Bluetooth also works well.
I'll give a go on the bluetooth sharing to test it in a deeper level.
I'll report as soon as i've a conclusion.

Very easy.
Any program shortcut u need is in the program folder. Rename any one u want to Long_Send.lnk and put in Windows folder. Samething for Long_End.lnk too which is meant for the Red Button.

in Finix 3.6 ROM.

IR working fine for me. Default is off, but when on works great as a universal remote ;)

Thank you for the excellent work on this rom, BUT I have a small question.
In version 3.4 I could go to HKLM/Security/Phone/Skin and disable the 3G skin, enabling the default dialer skin.
In version 3.6 when I reset it reverts to "enabled".
Is there a way to make this change efective and permanent - revert to the default skin?

First at all: excellent job you have done!! I have 3.6 version now!
I use a Trinity as my company phone and emails + contacts are needed to be syncroniced with Exchange Email, but that does not work in this ROM. I know the settings, because syncronization works with an other ROM. A company policy settings are received from Exhange server as well.

Active Sycn status (error) message is: Synchronization could not be completed. Support Code 0x85010013

I have also a kind wish to you:
When using the company policy setting the user have to enter password if a phone is idle more than 10 minutes. Would you please fix, that after entering password there is no need to press "Unlock". I had a ROM with that feature and it was quicker to use.

I've been using this WM6.1 ROM for 5 months now and i've no problem syncronizing with activesync all possible syncronizable items. I've been using it to sync with "Windows Vista Home Premium" and with "Windows XP Pro" using randomly USB and Bluetooth connections.

The only tweak i've done was to install special Vista drivers for USB in order to flash ROMs using this OS. You can find them here:

After 5 months working with no issues, I've noticed something strange...
I tried to change the communications port (COM) of the GPS using the existing config tool in "Settings/System/External GPS" and realized that the working COM port remains as COM9 (as default).... is there a way to make de config app work?

And this Rom is absolutly the best Rom ever.
