Do which drivers are better? The drivers released from http://www.htcclassaction.org/driverprogress.php#update_20080819_1
Or the Samsung Omnia drivers from here? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416474
Or are they the same? I'm a confused.

Try each one and see which one works best for you.

I thought i might hear about experiences with battery life, anecdotal evidence of better performance with one or the other, maybe a tale of woe with one of them. But no. I get "Try each one and see which you like best!" Yea! Sunshine, unicorns and lollipops fly in the sky and heal sick children! Weeeee! Am i supposed to blinded by your comic sans font that i'm not sickened by that?
I wouldn't have posted asking about them if i tried each one now would i? No. Instead i wanted to try and save a little time and maybe connect with our community. Talk about differences between the two. If there are any. And not to mention my own motives of avoiding my own possible incompetence or bad fortune.
I can understand saying that about a ROM, but not a driver. Sorry.

Yea i don't know what came over me. I went ahead and tried em both. Seems the ones from Class Action Org slow things up.

first off eithe driver nothing to do with battery life'''that kindavstuff is determined by radios and roms..so mepersonally i use the omnia drivers because all the tests work even t
e text3d one..where as with htc driver it wouldnt werk at all wit out the ad2tii.dll that needed to be placed in the htc ca folder...and even with that the text3d didnt work for diddly...but the other tests worked, so for me omnia worked perfectly and i could feel better video quality and resnse with playback. So i strictly use only the omnia drivers now...and theirs been a proven gkbenchmark on one of these threads about both drivers that the omnia one is atleast 20% better or more'''with glbenchmark...so stick with the omnia drivers until htc comes out with a MUCH better update..even there new update from a few days ago was minor and is nothing special....
so thats my two cents, u can research whatever i said on
these threads

If you're talking about the unrelated Herg ogl driver (which Herg himself can't identify where it came from), it doesn't even run GLBenchmark when I tried and I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing. I'm still not sure where you'll pulling this "better GLBenchmark" metric from.
For the topic, install Omnia after HTC-CA drivers and get the best of both. Omnia has better D3D, but HTC-CA is the only one that runs OpenGL, and in hardware too, and includes most of the OpenGL-ES 1.1 extensions that are missing with the herg ogl driver. Triangle.exe isn't a OGL benchmark -- only GLBenchmark is.
It's really a wash since no daily-use app uses either API yet.
