Known Bugs:

FM Radio is mute. Need help on this one!:o
HTC Random Access is installed by default but don't come up or scroll when you need it. As workaround, you can install the CAB attached below. I'll fix it when release 6.1 is done together with new Windows Live 0.39.4200!

Release Notes

- This version is a Professional release. It means that comes with most apps found here and also what I consider basic and useful. You guys are free to install whatever you want!
- HTC Home Plugin needs attention regarding Home TAB only. It needs to be enable by going to settings\items. Then move up HOME item to be the first one. That's all.


General Notes: (Please Read before updating)

- Remove SD card before update!

- Before asking, attention to details

- There is no Radio or extended rom... JUST OS!

- You MUST install HARD SPL before going over a custom ROM.

Installation:

How to install a cooked ROM.
Install HARD SPL (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=351964)
Put device in bootloader mode.
Run Polaris_CustomRUU.exe and good luck.

- High recommend to reflash an official rom before flash this one.

- If you change some thing, you have to wait for a minute before restarting to make sure the device get your changes.

- Last but not least....again, do not ask me why I did not put such app or why I chose this or that. If you feel like I am missing something cool or left an application behind...PM a message with such suggestions. No problem.

The ROM is fairly smooth and elegant :)

So far I came across 2 bugs:

1. Missed calls tab in HTC Home leads to all call history and not to missed calls! (udK managed to sort this out in R7)

2. Call history page lacks a [X] button to close page, instead there is a white bar on top. And if one presses red end call button majority of page disappears. To close it one must touch somewhere on screen, press Keypad softbutton and then close page. Similar bug is present in udK's!

Tochna you don't have both problems?

Well, when disabling the dialer skin the "Call History" page can be closed by either pressing [X] which is visible or the "red end call" button without problems. But then there is no soft buttons at bottom to filter call history!
So obviously it's a skin issue :confused:

And still pressing "missed calls" tab in HTC Home leads to all calls' history and not to missed calls.

Guys,

Those calls issues more regarding to skins..better than a call function!:D are really happening on mine too. Didn't realize that. So, I'll see what I can do about it...

I can get away from that screen by just tapping in the OK button upside right.

Cube is not installed at all. :rolleyes:
FMRadio still no clues...
Also, a second language is something I always put in my planboard but haven't had enough time.....who knows later on!:p

No Omnia drivers are not in this ROM. Maybe he will put into next rom. There needs to be more improvements tho

We have to reconstruct whole phone dialer removing blue*.png and using normal png files with the right canvas which is time consuming.:o

So, I prefer spend time with the newest build 20275 or other like 20273....

This bug exist since the R1 and I don't know what causes this, it's present on many WM6.1 ROM.


udK confirms this as well.
Why not just discard the dialer skin or use one (older) that doesn't have the problem? This is a suggestion for future releases :)
The dialer in KhanX V6 Pro works fine now with the pre-installed skin disabled!!

But the "Missed Calls" tab in HTC Home can be fixed, right? ;)

One more thing, the SoftKey Changer creates an error when remapping Calender softkey due to wrong default path.
KeySwop works better.

If you want to add something cool you can add a different wait cursor!

First of all, great ROM and very responsive (i'm using the 12MB PP version) The apps included are sufficient I think. And thanks for always trying to improve the Polaris user experience!

I've got the same bug like page 1 in the thread, no "X" button on the top right corner in the call history page. The other bug is, there is no cube even when I've enabled it in Schap Adv. Any tip on this?

P.S. anyway, I've installed HTC Diamond Qwerty keyboard, but could not uninstall it after that. Anyone knows how to remove this?

I put this ROM, and had no such a vibration problem. For now it works very well. I tryed a few ROMs before and got the problem with all noise around me. When it is loud the person on the other side can't separate the voice from other noise and it was hard to understand me. This problem had with at least 2 ROM version, but with this one there is no such a problem.

thx for the great rom! but there is a bug in the calender, the top bar on the calender is in some kind of russian :S never seen that language before :D but hey it's a small thing but if you can fix it it would be great! also i find this one a lot slower then the last one (not the vanilla release)

the regional settings where n greece so now i changed it and it works great. Love the new skin! Also maybe it took a time to load because it's so much faster then when i first flashed the rom. Really thx for this rom and i'm looking forward to the next one!

Use Schap's advanced Tool and change the item: Show clock on title bar! Change the battery for clock:) That will fix the annoying thing!;)

I've flashed my first ROM today after looking at all the other WM6.1 roms I thought this looked the most promising as it was an update with fixes.

I have to say I love it, its fast has more programs and utils than before and my 3 sim works out of the box and the connection wizard made setting up the 3G/SMS etc a breeze so hats off to you guys for a great release!

One thing I wanted to mention, I dont know whether this is a bug or not. but when you first start up the device after install or after a hard reset (clear storage etc). the first splash screen makes a Zen-like sound which is quite cool but after install you dont here it after a soft reset?

Not complaining but thought I'd add my two pence worth! ;)

- When I firstly used SMS icon and open SMS ... AFTER this when I try open EMAIL - opening again SMS :mad:

I dont understand exactly where to find this.Go to Accessories/advanced tools in what program? There's no menu for this on the rom.I've checked Advanced Config too.

i htink what you want is here:

start -> programs -> accessoires -> adv. config

when the programs opens, scroll down to: HTC Animation and click on it. You'll get 4 options, the last is: WAV file: (click on this too) now under in your screen is a bar where you can insert a path, if you click on it you can select: Browse

then browse to my device\windows click on the directory in the upper screen, the submaps and files apear in the southern part of the screen. scroll to the right until you see Ring-Flute1.wav select it and click on select. then click on done.... and your done...

I didnt need to set the volume for it.... anyway i hope this is the sound you meant. have fun and goodluck

I'm about to give this a go, sounds very promising. Do you know if WM 6.1 in fact is in better at pulling phone book in with carkits? No luck with 6.0 (tried JetWARE too), as i need them to be in PBAP format (i think).

Edit: Fixed most of my issues.

How can i add the default input methods as they are missing, ie touch keypad.. is there a separate Touch Cruise keypad install?

Is there a way to get rid of the say, date and clock displayed above the large clock?

Also getting the Calendar problem - how do i fix this please? Does a softkey changer work?

Sim pin request doesn't come up automatically untill i hit the phone call button. <-- Works after reboot.
