The Diamond has a stylus sensor that can be applied to applications, here is one that I stumbled accross that may be helpful:

Sorry, but yes you are...
At the first link you have a animation of stylus in/out and 2 texts : "Action when stylus inside" and "Action when stylus outside"
Even the stupid google translation will give you the purpose of this app.
