disable word completion please

Hi,

is there any registry value i can change to disable the word completion on standard keyboard. it annoys me a lot coz the screen is small enough already don't want that extra line.

I tried into the input setting and untick the word completion, t9..... everything, but it just still there!!!

Same problem here! It's the most annoying thing ever. I can barely write a SMS. Even with the keyboard (I own a Raphael!) the same thing happens. I disabled everything but... :(

For me disabling works when switching T9 off in one of HTC´s keyboard......then with the standard keyboard I also have T9 disabled.....(Stock HTC 1.37 German ROM).

I had to make sure that all of my settings for the standard keyboard were not selected (even the greyed out ones like "Add a space after word") before the annoyance stopped.
