Just a quick update on the weather thing. It seems to display the time for 1 hour and up so perhaps this only affects the minutes.

Also replacing the manila.exe file in the windows folder (for wallpaper fix) places it in the task manager so set it as an "exclusive" as closing it can crash TF3D.

What size of picture is for icon on curtain with tabs ... because i noticed that you need another plain white icon smaller one.

EDIT: Ok i found it and made small ikon for tab ;) In White color ... i hope U like it aswell. if you need any other combination of this icon smaller bigger or whatever just say ;) Because i want to make it look like an oryginal one :)

Hello there,
I've got the problem, that I am not able to replace the manila.exe
Simply unchecking the TouchFlo in Settings/Today and then replacing it gets me an write/protected error. It says the file is still in use, but it shouldn't be... :confused:

Also I tried to rename it - both with my PC and the Touch Diamond - same error.

EDIT: Replacing works fine with Total Commander. Thanks to Krzysiec!
You can interact with the calender, but it is restricted to scrolling to the next or past months. It's not possible to plan an appointment or such things like in WM calender.

I suggest You all to use Total Commander to copy and overwrite any files in Windows directory :)

EDIT: Is it possible to interact with that calendar ? After pressing to open the originsl WM calendar and shedule aplication ?

Sprint theme is really nice, but I noticed when I have multiple cities added to the "Weather" tab it only updates/shows the weather on the first city and not the others (in my case 2).

I also noticed it says "Last update IDS_MINSAGO"

I guess it's supposed to show the number of minutes not the actual code? :P

exactly the same problem here :/ little annoyng :/ After update it`s shown 0 min ago and 1 mins ago later it says like "Last update IDS_MINSAGO" Very strange :/ And destroy this nice theme in that way :/

EDIT: One more BUG that is reason i have to delete it :( :/ i think this happened after ive changed manila.exe to can change wallpaper. In opened procces there is Start.exe running all the time ... and after closing it touch flo dissapear and have to make a SR :/

the error "IDS_MINSAGO" only applies for 2mins - 59mins, hours seems fine. I must admit it does get a little annoying though :P

Apart from the IDS_MINSAGO bug, it seems to crash relatively often. Just had it crash while changing my program list every 2 edits (adding/removing programs). Also had TF3D freeze once when coming out of hibernation. Everything else worked (very slowly) so I assume a memory leak of some sort.

Hmmm i can`t see any patch for original clock and custom operator name ... There was only sprint operator logo.

I cant go halfway here .. I make a Original Sprint theme .. then have Extra addons for calendar and clock icons :)
If u find some nice calander icons please tell me where to get them :D

Static small calendar icon in the bottom bar (not today's date) and active as the Big calendar icon?
or both Active or both Static...??

Remember that u can't change the font colour of the calendar font! (white weekday and black date number)

No, sorry .. don't know yet how to get the sprint clock in standard TF3D... ( but I fear that it will be hard, risk for many bugs)
The background is a different image manila file ... Can't be edited with Manila Editor :(

About that start.exe process ... maybe it was my fault that i copied it without turnin off TF3D ? and then it was always in process :/ Because i must to add this fixed manilla.exe because wallpaper change dosen`t work ...

hehehe .. It's so easy it's embarrassing :o:D
I rename all manila files to .txt then I do a search for 'weather' within the file... I get about 18 files .. then I have a look in them and see if I can recognise something...
for this weather problem i knew that in the sprint the ID for minutes was IDS_MINSAGO and in standard TF3D its IDS_MINAGO...
found '5abb134a_manila' ... deleted it so it would go back to original manila file... and it worked :D

but I dont know if that file has some other functions, maybe there will be another bug with that file gone!?

please try it before i make a new theme .. I'm running it now to see if something else happens...

I found which manila file to fix the Wallpaper bug...
I could press and choose wallpaper but it wouldn't show in Home tab :rolleyes:
So u still have to use manila.exe

2. The calendar tab works well, however have you seen the new calendar 0.7.5 thing that allows for the actual date to appear on the TF3D tab and on the icon when you hover over it? are you able to implement this?

I like the yellow blob ;) - quite readable on a pro screen. I have noticed that the pro screen is better with higher contrast and more vibrant colours than the diamond screen...

Request: Can you somehow move the Date from below the clock to the upper curtain again?

No, sorry... I haven't figured that out yet... I think it's hardcoded in the manila files (Not like the other ROM's)

Now this theme looks absolutely georgous ! :) I wish it wouldn`t take so much memory usage but ... If we want to have this theme we have to live with this :D In my Diamond only 11 mb left for data storage ;) on main memory.

Youre the specialist to find manila by few words ;) I know this is useles but maybe there is a possibility to add operator name manual by changing strips like in title=calender What do U think ?

I still have no idea why my "Menu" in the SMS portion crashes for no reason. And that's the only thing crashing. When I used the V1 of the Vista theme, it somehow fixed my crashes and the Menu key in the SMS portion works again, so anyone with any guidance on how I can compare certain files?

PS. It doesn't work again after installing the Touch Pro version of the theme.

Tried the file, but the call history still crashes manilla.exe when I touch on Menu. TouchFlo itself doesn't crash, only Manilla.exe when I touch the Menu softkey. And in landscape, nothing in particular happens, no crashes or anything. The landscape wallpaper you made appears and works fine.

1 Sure I have a look at it ... cant change the text.. it's the font colour in manila(hardcoded) what colour 'blob' would u prefer?

I have managed to get the date up in the Top bar.. but there is some bugs that i can't fix...
Not able to 'flip' the Home screen upp/down to get the small clock until u tap one time on the big clock... after that it works! :confused:
And there is no green (or whatever colour) focus around Calls and Calander...

Just extract the shiny slide button in manila editor to .png and open it in your favorite image editor...
then just move it a little to the side and save...

The date is hardcoded with the clock... can't change it... sorry
there is alot of different files... use Manila Editor to track them down ;)

Why should I make a theme with the original clock when there is the cab installer for the flip clock... It would be the same files in windows in the end anyway... :rolleyes:

SSMapa allows you to change some of the exe in manila, ie i can set it to launch klaxon alarm instead of windows clock and alarms when i press the clock in tf
For some reason tf3d crashes when i try to make changes with SSMapa to the manila.exe you posted that fixes the wallpaper issue.
I like the theme so much i can live without the custom shortcuts thanks for posting!

I have searched until my eyes were bloody but I can't find any answer that works.

Basically I can't change my wallpaper either.
I'm using the black gold theme and installed it with tf3d config, no matter what I do, I can't change the today screen. Tried holding picture, then set as background. Tried settings>today>use this image as background, etc...
I have the Sprint original ROM. I tried deleting manila.exe, tried the manila fix file from this thread, etc...still no dice. The one weird thing I noticed though is that when restarting the diamond or if I disable tf3d, my wallpaper is there. However, once tf3d starts, its like it just puts the tf3d right over my background picture.

Does anybody have any ideas? This is driving me crazy that I can't figure it out. Many thanks in advance.

You have set the picture as Today background...
However TF3D is a Today plugin and will be in front of that background...

Slide the menu Tab down to Settings and the Chose Wallpaper from there... :rolleyes:

You have set the picture as Today background...
However TF3D is a Today plugin and will be in front of that background...

Slide the menu Tab down to Settings and the Chose Wallpaper from there... :rolleyes:
Only way 2 change wallpaper in TF3D...

Sorry I've tried different things to get the Landscape to work with the sprint theme... but I think there are to much difference in manila files :(

Tried the file but didn't notice any difference :( When I slide oute the keyboard screen rotates but tf3d goes to the left with 480px resolution, everything below the screen cannot be accessed and the part that isn't used on the right side of the screen gets filled with garbage...

What I would likt to see is that the original action screen pops up in landscape. Maybe it is possible to just change the tab and display icons to sprint? But it would be the best if indeed an addon or fix could be made so TP owners can use this great theme too :D

Let me know if I need to test something else, you can also send it to my email since I cannot check my pc during daytime because of work hahaha.

ti the theme file (it's actually a .zip file) there is a file called 'changetheme.xml' ..have a look in there :)

the only thing is that its only for 'en-us' ROM's
and I dont know how to translate the manila filename to different languages (I'm working on it, trying to make a small program to get manila filenames)

It was some time ago I did that theme... I didn't know about the sprint phone and the manila files in it then...

It's not the icons that are offset... Its the menu slider...
It's easy to change it with Manila editor ;)

you are missing one file/icon

there is normally 2 image manila files
hero and tray...

you are missing the 'focused' manila image...

Use Total Commander to copy the file. It will void Windows directory file protection.

Soft reset (turn phone on and off) after your done.

I found the manila file for Traditional Chinese (zh-tw) which can solve the problem of "IDS_HOMENOSERVICE"
Just copy this file into windows\

I translated "IDS_HOMENOSERVICE" into 暫停服務
You could change it into whatever you want by editing this file.

change or add the values for ManilaCustomHlDown and ManilaCustomHlUp

That is actually the same file '1864da05_manila'...

I think it's the programming in manila that makes it semi transparent in Home tab...

you can change it by editing 443d5315_manila with Manila Editor...

I understand how to rename these files to .theme and add using tf3d config. Is it possible to install just the touchflo icons (bottom of interface)? I am currently using the 3d icons which I have found as a separate theme - would like to trial some from your themes without going the whole way and changing wallpaper - fonts etc. Can you split them out from the downloads or would you need to release them as a separate (smaller) file?
rename .theme to .zip .. then u can unzip all the files to a folder...

hmm.. ok .. I go to people tab and press the big + and chose a contact and if that contact don't have a picture I have to chose a picture also... no problems..

Copy to windows with e.g. Total Commander Don't run it!!
Sometimes it will show Start.exe in process

The 'Sprint' logo is coded in the manila files... so it won't show your carrier... :(

Hi NisseDILLIGAF, thanks for the sprint theme its awesome.

a couple of things though:

1. When you have some unread emails (and sms's?) it has a little yellow circle with the number of unread emails in it.. this is really hard to read because its yellow with white text.. can you change it to something more readable? maybe black text, or something other than yellow for the blob thing?

2. The calendar tab works well, however have you seen the new calendar 0.7.5 thing that allows for the actual date to appear on the TF3D tab and on the icon when you hover over it? are you able to implement this?

any news on these things nisse? i'm more interested in the first point really. thanks!

start Manila Editor...
open the folder where you have 36eabe92_manila
highlight 36eabe92_manila -> Save as... -> PNG
Use photoshop or similar software to edit to another colour
save as png (keeping the transparent background)
In Manila Editor -> Click Replace -> choose your edited png
copy 36eabe92_manila to windows...

Oh, I have been using it to figure out exactly how I want to piece meal together the look on my phone. Its the actual creation of the image and how to edit the color part that I was missing. I wasn't sure if there was a quick way to do that from within Manila Editor.

No, not as far as I know no one has done that..

The only thing that can be changed in home tab is the font colour (unless u know how to program lua code like D-MAN or mun_rus)

the reason for this is because It's the same manila files... so for now u have to choose, one or the other :rolleyes:

just now found out, after having a Himalaya for 4 years, thats possible to modify a mobil. Thats now much i know about that kinda thing. Bounced in this board and was stunning about, whats is possible and the quality here.

Got a mda compact 4 (diamond) and using Nisses sprint theme. I cannot contribute any knowledge but i can buy Nisse some beers :D he really deserves it. I saw many apps and themes and Nisses work is reaaaally impressive.

I have 1.37 ROM GER, Radio 05, sprint theme(no calender tab), remove curtains, remove sprint logo.
But let me ask a couple of questions too.

1. In the main today screen, it shows me only 1 or 2 dates from calender. and if there are 2 dates at the same time, it shows only one of them.
What can i do, to have one complete days dates displayed in today screen?

2. If i click on a date in the main today screen, the calender opens, but in a view called agenda view i guess. i would like to open it in day view. How can that be done?

3. Last thing for my start here, how can i change the font color of the menu, when i click on start button. the theme is dark and the font too. hard to read. could be white fond or simular. How can do this?

When u guide me with instructions, i´ll give my effort to do it.

Installed the manilla.exe addition, removed the sprint wallpaper on all tabs removed and re-installed mUn and bob's yer uncle I have it just as I want. Cheers for the input happy as!:D:D

I have installed the following programs:
- S2U2
- MemMaid
- MS Net CF
- TF3D Config
I am now on O2 theme and I would like to install one of Nisse's nice theme, but I'a afraid that all new manila files will increase the size of Windows directory (now is about 230Mb).
Can I install the theme in Internal Storage (sorry if it's a stupid question)?

I think that depends if u are using the LageStartmenu or standard WM startmenu... Don't know where, but if u search u will find answers to that, It's been talked about several times in the forum...

I did some work on my Diamond and finally good results :):
Storage Memory (Total 85.06 MB):
- In use 54.62 MB
- Free 30.45 MB
Program Memory (Total 111.02 MB):
- In use 58.38 MB
- Free 52.64 MB
The program installed are:
Windows - S2U2, Themes, File Explorer Extension, New Icons for battery and menu bar
Internal Storage - SKTools, Diamond TF3D Config, Diamond Tweak, iGO8 (sorry, I forgot about this big eater).
All are working OK.
Now, I'm searching for other interesting applications (many thanks to all working on this).

I think that depends if u are using the LageStartmenu or standard WM startmenu... Don't know where, but if u search u will find answers to that, It's been talked about several times in the forum...



No, u can't install a theme on Internal Storage...
Strange that u have so little space left after just those programs?
Check in 'My Document', maybe there is a program saving to your phone without u knowing it?

Still having issues with the wallpaper fix on my Diamond, It doesnt work... and touchflo wont even launch with the fixed exe file.

I was trying to update my rom 1.37 however HTC.com says there's no rom update for my handset ... any ideas?

I think it's because of the ROM 1.37...
There should be an update to 1.93 by now...!!?

I'm guessing u have a branded phone?
Have u tried contacting your 'brand'?
I know Orange has released a new rom on their website...

Yep thats what i thought!

completely forgot its a branded Vodafone handset and have found the firmware update now on their website.

FYI my ROM is 1.38 and the manila.exe fix works fine. its a telstra branded ROM and there's no update AFAIK :( (but having said that, my ROM works fine, pretty quick too).

i tried to download the manila.exe file but I can't ovveride/delete the current file in the windows dir...

So I tried to change the registery key:

to the image path.

But the background doesn't change.

Use Total Commander or similar to copy the file... :)
standard filemanager doesn't work...

Hai thanks for the theme's.
I have installed Girly Theme and now i had use the restore default from tf3d config but not everything is restoed.
The tabs and the sroll bar are still pink.
What must i do that it's restore the diamond theme.
In the Girly Theme the start page is still black.

Guys i need as bit of assistance, i have installed Tf3d, which is great, and i spent ages gettin loads of themes onto my diamond, but everytime i choose a theme, the TF3d behaves weirdly,
i cannot do a thumb swipe 2 scroll the tabs, it just hangs
The sprint clock freezes

How can i get it so everything runs smoothly

I am using a Diamond, rom ver 1.34, i have lots of memory, and storage space, what do i need 2 do to get these themes running as normal.

I did some work on my Diamond and finally good results :):
Storage Memory (Total 85.06 MB):
- In use 54.62 MB
- Free 30.45 MB
Program Memory (Total 111.02 MB):
- In use 58.38 MB
- Free 52.64 MB
The program installed are:
Windows - S2U2, Themes, File Explorer Extension, New Icons for battery and menu bar
Internal Storage - SKTools, Diamond TF3D Config, Diamond Tweak, iGO8 (sorry, I forgot about this big eater).
All are working OK.
