Hai thanks for the theme's.
I have installed Girly Theme and now i had use the restore default from tf3d config but not everything is restoed.
The tabs and the sroll bar are still pink.
What must i do that it's restore the diamond theme.
In the Girly Theme the start page is still black.
To change the start page go..
Start->Settings->Today-> chose WM Theme ->ok

about the tabs and scrollbar, they should return to normal when you chose 'restore default' in TF3D config...?

Having some problems though, maybe somebody can help me... my tabs are off centre (too much to the left) - any ideas? :confused:
It's not the tabs... it's the Slider image that are off centre... Edit it with Manila Editor.... :)

Guys i need as bit of assistance, i have installed Tf3d, which is great, and i spent ages gettin loads of themes onto my diamond, but everytime i choose a theme, the TF3d behaves weirdly,
i cannot do a thumb swipe 2 scroll the tabs, it just hangs
The sprint clock freezes

How can i get it so everything runs smoothly

I am using a Diamond, rom ver 1.34, i have lots of memory, and storage space, what do i need 2 do to get these themes running as normal.

I think It's because u have the 1.34 ROM... The sprint clock comes from 1.93 ROM...
I don't think there is a solution for that other then upgrading your ROM...:rolleyes:

I don't think that is possible... as far as I know you can't change how many dates displayed in Home tab
Try out SSMaPa (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407777&highlight=ssmapa), I managed to change what's shown when clicking a date in Home tab...
I think that depends if u are using the LageStartmenu or standard WM startmenu... Don't know where, but if u search u will find answers to that, It's been talked about several times in the forum...

Hi! and Thanx....

No, when u 'install' a theme... the files will replace the ones in your phone...
but your standard TF3D always is in your phone...
so you could say that u have double files in some cases.. (about 6-9Mb) depending on what theme u are using...

the new file has the dominant place.. and if u delete it, the old(original) file will be there...
you can never delete a ROM file...

normally there are 2 icons ...

friendly name
people-tray (the small one in the bottom bar)
people-hero ( the big one, infont of the slider and at center of screen)

by adding a manila gles file and some manila image files
you get one more icon

people-focused ( The one in font of the slider, and I just made it invisible)

Just a heads up. When I installed the SprintCalendarTab.cab on my Sprint TP it also added a call history tab (which the Sprint TP doesn't have by default). The new Call History tab seemed to cause some problems for me. After navigating to it, when I would navigate back to the Home tab TF3D would freeze. I am running iContact, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

You could just rename the .theme file to .zip... and extract the 2 files and copy them to windows... :)

Try downloading 'PanoramaTemplate.zip' from here...

Open it in Photoshop (I use that, I don't know how to do it in another image editor)
Paste your image to Panorama.png
Make sure u only have only one layer
Save As... and save as a different name (So you can use panorama.png again)

4a087e41_manila is the Image that is shown in all the other tabs...

I don't think u can change the background with background changer...
Because u have to change the background with manila editor, It's not an ordinary jpg file...

Tried the file but didn't notice any difference :( When I slide oute the keyboard screen rotates but tf3d goes to the left with 480px resolution, everything below the screen cannot be accessed and the part that isn't used on the right side of the screen gets filled with garbage...

What I would likt to see is that the original action screen pops up in landscape. Maybe it is possible to just change the tab and display icons to sprint? But it would be the best if indeed an addon or fix could be made so TP owners can use this great theme too :D

Let me know if I need to test something else, you can also send it to my email since I cannot check my pc during daytime because of work hahaha.

I have test it with a other size of a image (480x640) and it doesn't work :(!!
With the size of 256x256 the quality of the image a very bad :/

You have to have TF3D Config installed and use that to intsall the theme... :)
you can find TF3D config in one of the sticky threads...

and u just put the .theme file to your internal Storage...

edit: Girly theme can be very slow on some devices... just so u know...

In Diamond TF3D Config:

- click the Appearance tab
- Click the "Path" button and select the folder where you have the theme
- Click OK
- Click the drop-down belown the "Path" button and select the theme you want to install
- Click the Apply button
- Click the Start button

When the install is complete. Click the finish button and then click OK to reboot. When the phone reboots, it should automatically load up the new theme.

Now I´m unable to change homescreen wallpaper - in all tabs have same:confused: Please could You give me some advice??:)

Yeah, you usually don't have 4a087e41_manila in your ROM...
and u need this 5c9aa261_manila for it to work...

unfortunately manila files are very tricky...
It all depends on what version u have... because of the differences in some manila versions...
some mods wont work :(

These files are from version 1.2.35091.2_1813.6 of TF3D...

Just delete the copied manila.exe, after a softreset your diamond will use the old one which is in the ROM (if TF3D is hardly installed in your ROM).

And the question is: I have calendar, call history and com manager tabs installed, I've made my own Icons and have a double image on the selected tray icons so I want to use the 3 icon menu manila files that you have posted. I'm seeing the same problem and i dont have icontact installed.

Just a heads up. When I installed the SprintCalendarTab.cab on my Sprint TP it also added a call history tab (which the Sprint TP doesn't have by default). The new Call History tab seemed to cause some problems for me. After navigating to it, when I would navigate back to the Home tab TF3D would freeze. I am running iContact, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

No, that's because 4a087e41_manila comes from my Background 4 all tabs... not mun_rus...

Sprint theme is wonderful. I tried out on the Touch HD. It's working well, but don't on fullscreen, 160px missing(blank) from screen. (800px-640px)

I call it the 3 icon menu! :D

normally there are 2 icons ...

friendly name
people-tray (the small one in the bottom bar)
people-hero ( the big one, infont of the slider and at center of screen)

by adding a manila gles file and some manila image files
you get one more icon

people-focused ( The one in font of the slider, and I just made it invisible)

The ATT that comes with the Fuze was almost immediate on all tabs. Not sure if there's just a version conflict or other issue, I'd really rather have this all black then the grey AT&T.

Anything I might be doing wrong? I also have done almost all the teaks, then hard re-set and loaded theme before anything else, no help.

Actually 4a087e41_manila file is 512x512 px in some stock roms (sprint and AT&T), but yours is 256x256, why?
I have tried sprint and AT&T stock rom files (512X512 pixel 4a087e41_manila and 5c9aa261_manila) on my diamond with original black manila theme, they work perfectly. But after I edited 4a087e41_manila by manila editor it did not work on diamond.
Do you have a suggestion?
What picture editor do you use?
And, Is there any tricky when saving png files for diamond?

I would really like to have different background files for the homescreen and the other. I know I've changed the background image for the "other tabs" earlier, but now it just becomes black with your provided files.

Any clue on why? Except there might be some issue because of the Manila version? Can't edit the background manila file with Manila Editor 0.2... or I can, but even then the background becomes plain black.

Btw, I AM able to use mun_rus home wallpaper for all tabs...

I posted it already in another thread, but I think its best to put it in here:


I installed the two manila files "5c9aa261_manila" and "4a087e41_manila" (see attached in "manila files.zip") into the windows folder and then reactivated TF3D.

Then I saw that the background changed well in all tabs. It seemed everything was all right til I saw this (picture attached). In the all programs list and the share portfoilo tab I see instead of a all white backgroud a dark bar in the upper half of the screen showing the background installed on all tabs.

Now I wanted to know how I could solve this. Hope someone could help me.

The ATT that comes with the Fuze was almost immediate on all tabs. Not sure if there's just a version conflict or other issue, I'd really rather have this all black then the grey AT&T.

Anything I might be doing wrong? I also have done almost all the teaks, then hard re-set and loaded theme before anything else, no help.


I'm having the same problem as well, same ROM and all, but I'm not using the black theme. It's another theme, but I have the same lag.
Also, the default AT&T tab is no longer there once replacing a theme. Not that I need it much, but is there a way to get it back? Before I did a soft reset after installing my theme, there was an option in the TF3D editor.

I installed the two manila files "5c9aa261_manila" and "4a087e41_manila" (see attached in "manila files.zip") into the windows folder and then reactivated TF3D.

Then I saw that the background changed well in all tabs. It seemed everything was all right til I saw this (picture attached). In the all programs list and the share portfoilo tab I see instead of a all white backgroud a dark bar in the upper half of the screen showing the background installed on all tabs.

Now I wanted to know how I could solve this. Hope someone could help me.

My only problem was that I couldn't overwrite the files with the default file explorer. I installed Total Commander on the phone and used that to copy the files. Worked perfectly, though I've since gone back to using background4allpages because I'd rather have the full resolution background.

That's the current limitation of changing the background in this manner. It hasn't yet been figured out how to make the size different from 256x256 and with a 480x640 (or 800) screen, it's going to look blocky when scaled up.

I have the same problem here on a Dutch Touch HD.

At first i didn't know what tweak was causing this 'bug', but after a hard reset en copying over the manilla files from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=419799&page=58 i stillhave the problem.

It seems like some value is still at 640 while it should be 800.

@NisseDILLIGAF : Did you use the original Touch HD files for this mod ? Seems like ypu used files from a 640 TF3D ? Keep up the good work anyway !

The date is hardcoded with the clock... can't change it... sorry
there is alot of different files... use Manila Editor to track them down ;)


There's no way to put the date back in the bar? Is there a way to keep this theme, but install a different clock that will place the date on the home screen top bar?

i have downloaded the "5c9aa261_manila" to my pc,

it said the file is read only...i can't replace it...

I'm using the Vista theme and I like it. But would it be possible to get a different kind of slider icon for it? The problem with the current windows icon is that I can't see what's under it and I would like something that will allow me to see what is under the slider. It would be highly appreciated.

Also my internet globe's background is still green while others are blue. How to change this? Can it be changed somewhere in regedit? Would like to change it to blue as well but dont know which registry to change.

The background in programs, Stocks and all other manila apps becomes 640, when it should be 800, causing a transparent bar on the top 160px

Remember to have read something about mus_rus going to do a "background4alltabs" exclusively for the HD. Hope we all can soon get rid of this annoying problem.

For install themes in .theme format, install Diamond TF3D Config 0.6.7 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=405749) and then select your theme and click on apply! It's very easy, try it!

I'm using the Vista theme and I like it. But would it be possible to get a different kind of slider icon for it? The problem with the current windows icon is that I can't see what's under it and I would like something that will allow me to see what is under the slider. It would be highly appreciated.

Also my internet globe's background is still green while others are blue. How to change this? Can it be changed somewhere in regedit? Would like to change it to blue as well but dont know which registry to change.

Managed to figure it out.. (yes I'm a noob).. the file is as I wrote called "4a087e41_manila" and is stored in the Windows folder.

1. Copy it from your Diamond to your computer.
2. Fire up Manila Editor on your cumputer (right-click on the .exe and select run as Administrator).
3. Choose Select path and find the 4a087e41_manila.
4. The background should be visible in the window to the right, choose Save as.
5. Open the saved image in PSP or whatever, resize it to 1x1 px in black and save.
6. In Manila Editor, choose Replace and select the edited image.
7. Copy the new 4a087e41_manila file back to the Windows folder on your Diamond.
8. Soft reset and you should now have an all black background in the tabs

When I try to replace the original 512x512 manila with another edited 512x512 one I get an all white background, very odd.. seems like a lot of people are having that problem too.

I have installed the Sprint Theme, and it looks great!

The only problem I face is that the button in the upper right corner is gone, that's the button to see how many memory you are using. Normally there is a small arrow in the upper right corner, but after installing the Sprint Theme it is gone...

Anybody an idea?

First I thought this is because the language file is missing, but I put the german file (I have a german phone) in the windows directory but nothing changes...

I'd double on that "BassX" i have the Touch Pro, tried with images of 512x512 and tried with 480x640. Neither work, only the 256x256 works, and as you said, quality SUCKS (Pixelations, and the colors seem like 256 colors? :S WTF?

Does anyone know what the manila file is that controls the start menu background and highlight color for a VZW touch pro?
It doesn't show up in the manila editor and it is definately a TF3D file as when TF isn't running these colors conform to the theme/tsk file.

I'm having the same problem as well, same ROM and all, but I'm not using the black theme. It's another theme, but I have the same lag.
Also, the default AT&T tab is no longer there once replacing a theme. Not that I need it much, but is there a way to get it back? Before I did a soft reset after installing my theme, there was an option in the TF3D editor.

Use total commander. But resco should do the job as well. Make sure your manila is turned off.

How do you make your manila images?

i have the same pro like you. I use AZTOR X2 and TF3D Config 0.6.7 (1.1.35345.3). Use total commander to replace the "5c9aa261_manila" in folder Windows. And then use the "4a087e41_manila" from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2968109&postcount=168

Is there a newbe section that explains manila basics? My second question could probably be answered in a newbe section, I'm trying to copy a new 5c9aa261_manila file to the windows folder but the one in the windows folder is write protected, how do you get around this?

Firstly, thanks for all of the hard work you and the guys (&gals) have put in for us to make the Touch Diamond the great phone it is.

I am trying to change "the green blob" to a blue one, and I would really appreciate your help here...

I am using Vista and I suspect that is what the problem is !!:(

As you can see on the attached image from Manila Editor v0.2, I can't see any of the files in the Windiows folder. and the Ok Box stays grey, and for that reason, I can't get my changed file into the correct directory.:confused:

I have attached the correct 36eabe92_manila file, perhpas you can make a cab or exe which will force it in for me. ;)

Is there a 5c9aa261_manila file that just makes the bg go from almost black (75% transparency probably is the stock) to complete transparent so I can see my bg image while sliding.

Edit I've got the m9editor rockin, I just need to figure out what I need to change in the tree to make the bg transparent.

5c9aa261_manila is the mode9 file .. not a image
4a087e41_manila is the image file...

Try CFC GUI or m9editor to change the image...

In 10/26/2008 you enclose the file 3iconCalendar.zip (see attached) to make transparent, the bottom NON ACTIVE icon for Calendar (by D-MAN666) ("the one in front of the slider" like you says), but nothing for the ACTIVE icon.
Then I ask to you now how to make this (if you know...). :)

It doesn't matter what the 'invisible' icon is.. active or normal...

just put 'ActiveCalendarIcon...' on the icons you want to be active and
'Calendar_...' on the one that you want to be 'invisible'

The only advice I have is ...Don't be afraid to try!

That's how I've learned and discovered things.... Trial and error :)

Open up other mode9 files and see what the different things do...
