Im sorry I should have been more clear, its the the Diamond with XBmod's Manila HD, sop screen size hasn't changed, just the addition of the stock icon (which I will remove, I dont use it), droping the number of pages back down to the original count. What happens is the image doesnt show, just a white screen on each page.

I also have the issue with the date, how do i fix that annoying ids error?

Oh yeah I do have another request for the panorama, the orginal slider foes blck over the icons when using the new menu styles, i went through this thread to see what I can find, and no results. I know the transparent slider works fine, but I kinda like the original icons and the slider, and with the new style menu, which by the way is one of the most amazing enhancements to date, would look really good. Everytime I copy the menu file, it makes the slider cover the icons, tried it many ways.

I downloaded "Calendar.locales.zip" from the link given, extractrf and copied "7f60d775_manila" from the folder "en-us" into \Windows\ of my Touch Pro, but still I get IDs_ thingy.. :(

If u don't want the weekday and date..
Use m9editor and open 5c9aa261_manila...
find 'WeekDayText' and 'MonthDayText' and delete those 2 <Object>
And delete the relevant lua script <Object>

uu can do this for the clock also ...
If u managed to delete the date like above..
I don't think You'll have any problems with the clock :)

Just For Your Info. in my Regional Settings "English (Australia)" is the selected option..
I tried using TF3D Config to change my language to Swedish, then copied "11ff4459_manila" from "localesSpecialMenuSlider.zip" under "sv-se" into \Windows\ and the slider was able to display Swedish day of week correctly instead of IDS_CAl.. thingy... Switching back to English in TF3D Config causes IDS_CAL.. thingy to return again..

Yeah, I know about the thin line... but u don't see it all the time?

I have the images right beside eachother..
if I move just 1 pixel, they will overlap and make a more noticeable line :rolleyes:

Nisse, the panorama screen is WONDERFUL :D the movement is smooth, vast compliments!

unfortunately I have the following issues:
(using panorama non-special and Morna Ior 1.8 Rom by carburano)

1) when I move the slider, the screen darkens, thus I barely see the background. seems a curtain is on the whole screen, do you know how to remove it?
(the special panorama works, I can see the background)

2) Pamas Transparant Slider won't work! the touchflo can't start, it continues to restart

3) in all images directory, the 3 image files are hidden, even using total commander : the hidden and system flag is set, so I had to change it via Attrib in order to copy them onto the \windows dir

Use m9editor (search) and open 5c9aa261_manila with it..

For the hight of the 'shadow' slider bar...
Look for 'PreviewBackground' and change the y Position... and the hight..

This is the standard 'shade' that's shows when u slide the menu...

If u want to remove it.. use m9editor (search) and open 5c9aa261_manila

find 'PreviewBackground'
and remove the entire <Object> (Right click on <Object>Type="GLESSprite2D" and 'delete')
Save and copy the file to your phone, and the shaded background should be gone when u slide the through the menu.... :)

I am having a problem running panorama.

My manila is stock from ROM 5.05 TouchPro.

I replaced the one manila ROM file and added the rest (three panorama files + an extra manila one), and yet after soft reset I get white background...

What am I doing wrong?

I used the compressed images (heard they should be faster?).

EDIT: OK now I see that I have to have a "CFC compliant TF3D"... So how to I make it such.

EDIT 2: OK now I use non CFC images and it's quite strange... It's like I didn't patch anything. I get the original background, not a panorama! Any ideas?

Well I made 2 cabs just now. One will remove the "shade" while you're sliding and the other will restore it.

I would still like to know however, how to go about just changing the darkness level of the "shade".

So by changing height and width to 0, did it leave the large slider icon or did it remove that too?

Well that would just look goofy. It either needs to be there but less dark, or it needs to be normal. That's just my opinion.

I think the problem is the black.qtc referenced in the mode9 file.

normally there are 2 icons ...

friendly name
people-tray (the small one in the bottom bar)
people-hero ( the big one, infont of the slider and at center of screen)

by adding a manila gles file and some manila image files
you get one more icon

people-focused ( The one in font of the slider, and I just made it invisible)

Please could you help me and a few others in regards to the 3 icon menu and pamas transparent slider?

You're probably aware of the minor niggle when using Pamas TS in that the green bubble is overlaid when you scroll over the message and email icon (see attached image, thanks windgott).

Albeit that i'm a newbie when it comes to manila editing, i searched and tried to see what could be causing this.

I've tested your 3 icon menu (2 files actually, the message_focused and email_focused) and as expected they both become invisible when sliding over the tray icons.

Could you possibly make a manila file that does the same with the green bubble in the same way you've done it for the other icons? then in theory, the only green bubble we see will be the one on the tray icon (as opposed to the focused icon)......if that makes sense!!!

I dont know why your clock and stuff disappeared, but have you turned your Home wallpaper to default? That should make the panorama work throughout the slider.

2.Open the "panorama template" with adobe photoshop168372
a] click "group into the new smart object"
b] click "replace contents...",add the panorama
c] save as... .png
3.Open "PhotoScape" [free program],and split the new panorama.png in 3. Save
4.open cfc168374with old panorama folder[3 manila files]
and replace them witw new splited panorama [3 photos .png]
-the program will converse[transform] the photos
-compress or decompress ,"tools" finish up
-exit
5.Open manila editor168383,select old folder witw new panorama[3 manila files] and "ZIP" ENJOY

two issues/questions.

i am having issues with changing the background. as in it stays at default no matter what. i was thinking the background for all for sprint theme would work but from what i read it doesnt work on tp. is there one that does work on tp?

second, i tried using the fix for the background on the first page but all that did was loop manila.

Because i also use manila 3 the calender and also stock icons are missing. What i had to do to change them? If it is nessesary i would create the icons it by my own, but i don´t know the way to integrate them.

Does Panorama background work with XBmod Rhodium Manila? Because it f*cked up my whole manila. I had no problem with standard manila, but now I can't even open start menu and I cant see any slider icons on my manilla only a darker home tab and it's like i tapped the home slider icon but with a "Title" tag, not "Home". This is how it works "by default".
In other words if you do the tweak you get the scrolling background for all tabs. If you then go and change the TF3D background "the normal way" (using configuration) then you have a static background (or even a changing one if you use some bg-changer utility) in first tab (home) and the panorama on the rest of the tabs (of course you miss the first frame but this is not necessarily bad).

This is how I use it (but mostly because esp. in home tab *I WANT MY TOP AND BOTTOM BARS TO STAY "SEMITRANSPARENT" AS PER TF3D DEFAULT!*)...

Alright so complete newbie question here. How do I actually get this to work? I copied the files into my windows dir, and all I got was a grey background screen.

I've tried CFC and non CFC with varying degrees on Shaks latest v4.

I have got one or two to work but I'm still stumped.

Should I being seeing a massive overlap of about half an image wide which makes the image on some tabs look split?

On the example there isn't this and it seems an awful lot of trouble for you guys to go to if this is what we're expecting to see.

I have all the normal tabs enabled - no extras.

Yes me too I'm totally confused by all this. I tried the special slider and that sent everything grey. Deleted 5xxxxx manilla file and wallpaper went back to default on all other tabs, special slider is gone but a grey home page.

Well I made 2 cabs just now. One will remove the "shade" while you're sliding and the other will restore it.

I would still like to know however, how to go about just changing the darkness level of the "shade".

You seem to be a very skilled editor.. also used your clock mode9 for my current one:) Just had a few questions about your files:

1) The home screen doesnt show a image for me, I extracted the first image from the leather manila to use it, and its transparent for my slider+titlebar.
On the other tabs the titlebar/slider aint transparent though, do you know why?

2) Is there a specific reason that there isnt an image loaded at the home screen?
seems after my hard reset and using these manilas it automatically gives the bg's
3) I noticed you using a 'shiny' slider in alot of your pics. I'd love to have that 'shiny' slider but just that, still the stock icons

I have Standard Panorama and the non-CFC images. But after copied the manilas files in to the Windows Folder. when i Slide on TF3D i see only the same piece of a picture not the complete panorama picture.

lol. Yeah, people really do need to search.

I'm not using any special themes or tabs - I'm using the bog standard version of TF3D on the 2.03.405.3 WWE (Official) ROM. In fact, I had to use CFC GUI to "CFC Decompress" the panorama to get it to work. Anyway, I'm going to copy all of my manila files onto my laptop now, to investigate them - they're very interesting. It's nice that HTC has designed TF3D so that it's easy for us to customise. :)

I think (I'm not an expert on this stuff) there's a shade that's there all of the time - perhaps to help text stand out from the background.

I previously used a cab to remove the background from the time, after running the bg4all, I am left with a whit background with 0:00 as the time. Please help get the time working and the weather!

These themes are fantastic! I've been trying to self-teach myself and Manila is NOT that intuitive. You guys have done an amazing job.

I'd love a theme where there is a clock in the upper corner and the notifications are off the bottom of the screen where they can be scrolled up if desired. When they are scrolled up, if the corner clock could stay as it was, that'd be amazing. I haven't found anything that looks like this. Any help or directions? Thanks.

Just edit 4a087e41_manila with Manila editor and put whatever image you want...
(I haven't had time to test this much, but I don't think u can change the size of the image!)

I've used the PanoramaStandard files on my diamond and tried both
cfc and non-cfc backgrounds,
and get the same problem with both,
The image is definately panoramic because my tabs all have a different
part of the image,
but when I use the slider all I get is the default black background and only see the image when stopping on a tab so I guess its kinda working in reverse

All sorted , the DH Remove Shade cab did the trick

Open it in Photoshop (I use that, I don't know how to do it in another image editor)
Paste your image to Panorama.png
Make sure u only have only one layer
Save As... and save as a different name (So you can use panorama.png again)

buddy, i need the manila files cos i want the brick backgrounds for all tabs, just not for the home tab..i use some crapy room whic is good for me but the background in the tabs is sooo stupid. i tried to install many programs, but nothing helped, sometimes the clock dissapeared and the tfl3d menu didnt work...

No need to install any software.
Just copy the 3 manila files and the files of your favourite background to your windows folder (using total commander), restart manila and there you go.

manila didnt work the word title was in the middle of the screen any ideas im all for them... it didnt over write the original file but the original file over wrote the mod any ideas

ya that totally didnt work. that took over my whole screen with the word title and i couldnt touch any of my tabs so i had to uninstall it i havethe htc touch pro for alltel if that matters

Does Panorama background work with XBmod Rhodium Manila? Because it f*cked up my whole manila. I had no problem with standard manila, but now I can't even open start menu and I cant see any slider icons on my manilla only a darker home tab and it's like i tapped the home slider icon but with a "Title" tag, not "Home". I hope you can understand :)

I have a noobie question. I had read this thread, but I have no answer about that. My problem is, that i cant install the manila files for "Background for all Tabs". I have these two files, one "4a087e41_manila" and "5c9aa261_manila". When I copie this two files to \windows\ then I get an overwrite message. I cklick "yes" and activate TF3D but now, TF3D dont start, only a big white bar in top of and the image from the "4a087e41_manila" is shows, but not TF3D. Can anyone help me, pls.

Dear NisseDILLIGAF,

I've modified the manila files to have a nice sunset scene. Everything worked out GREAT. It was beautiful scrolling back and forth and seeing the image.

I've run into an issue, however, and I was hoping you recognized it and could help fix it. When I turn the screen off, then turn it back on, the entire screen jumps for a split second, then the device is unresponsive for about 20 seconds or so.

I'm running MightyRom 6 (wm 6.5) with no other modifications to touch flo.

Actually, I think I may have inadvertently solved this one on my own. When I was having this issue, I had custom icons installed. I decided to uninstall them this morning since they changed the wait icon back to 6.1 stile and the close and ok buttons were tiny. After that, I tried this mod again and everything seems to be running smooth.

2=extract the theme that you want to windows directory(you have to find out if yours is CFC or nonCFC,best thing to do is extract PanoramaDuelNeuron CFC. first if this doesent work try PanoramaDuelneuron notCfC) remember to softreset after these two steps,

I tried to install the mod to have the same background on all tabs, but i can't delete or replace 5c9aa261_manila file.
I tried to uncheck the "read only" in properties, but i can't too, even with total commander.

Is it compatible with Touch Pro ?


And is possible to have on homepage (first tab) all menus with transparency, even the windows bar (at the top) and the shortcut bar (at the bottom), to have a real 480*640 wallpaper ?

This has been a terrible thread to follow so I'll try to save someone else a few hours of searching and reading. To install a panoramic background you will need to use a 3rd party program to copy/overwrite system/hidden files in your /windows folder. Total Commander and Resco Explorer are two options. The following instructions work on my Sprint Diamond with a stock ROM

1 - copy (2) manila files from PanoramaStandard.zip (this thread post #748) to the /windows folder
