You can modify it with a registry editor, I guess. Did you try to find that value in HKLM\Software\HTC\Biotouch\ActionScreen ?

I corrected the softkey problem in the english version.

In "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\11 2"
I changed the old string value by the following value : "\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\HTCActionScreen.lnk"

Sets wrong registry ket and has some annoying text on top...
Changing the registry ket is a no brainer but I still haven't figured out how to remove the annoying text.

Also another bug (might just be with my ROM I dunno) is that the Action Screen dissapears if you don't "click" anything within a few seconds.

i do it bymyself =)

-now the green images come when you scroll over and not when you select it, better to see where you are on the menu.
-in the background image i moved the htc logo to the right so the text wont go over it

i also create 2 other set, one orange and 1 light blue!

Yes only with finger, cause a lot of user prefer a finger UI.

dont forget to backup the original one (Blue_AS_Bkgd_1.brn), so

you have to rename the HTCActionScreen.exe.0409.mui-file to for example HTCActionScreen.exe.0407.mui.For a english device(rom) you have to use a other 040x then 0409.
I have a german rom, and i use HTCActionScreen.exe.0409.mui, and the text is gone.
After renaming, you need to softreset.
Hope it helps

I had a look in the registry for the action screen and it would seem that most(if not all) of the parameters are configurable (including the changing of icons)... now an app to do that will be great:D:D I wonder if one already exists--lets use the search function:rolleyes: which result in this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=366729&highlight=howto) but its no app and requires manual changes...its a start though

Personally, i would modify it to be my second start menu, maybe even primary since its easier to use on the Touch. The seven item limitation (or is it?) will still be there but it easier on the thumbs..
