Hi Dan,
Just downloaded the MARVELLOUS Splash screens you have uploaded in you thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=420028

and you have also said "i use it with advanced configuration tool v3.0 for the splash screen.
hope you like it", I am using Advance Configuration 3 as well and tried to browse the image under the splash > Operator > Startup image & restarted 3 times but nothing has been changed.
I am using original O2-United Kingdom 1.93 Rom, do I have to do something special for Advance Config to change the startup picture ??

Can you advice please ?
Regards
Sid

Can i ask how exactly we are supposed to apply these as splashscreens?

I thought they had to be flashed?

i use advanced config 3.2

go to the option splash screen -> ms splash screen on startup -> and select your image file -> thats all :o

Important: Copy the image at first to my device/my document NOT to the internal storage!!

to use them to replace your operator splash you have to flash them i believe..

there are 3 startup images in total:-

1. The Operator Logo (flash to chage it)
2. The HTC Startup animation (replace gif to change it)
3. Windows Mobile Start Splash (again, replace png file)

i did some work a while back:-

Hey thanks for the advice, i have another question:

a: how would i go about making these screens flashable?
b: for these:

2. The HTC Startup animation (replace gif to change it)
3. Windows Mobile Start Splash (again, replace png file)

where do i replace the gif/png? also when they are replaced they do cover the whole screen dont they? they dont cover the screen apart from the bottom 100px?

Hi there, sorry for getting back late...

To Build an image to flash you need some tools:-

1. NBHUtil (Win Tool to build NBH files)
2. nbimg (DOS Tool to Convert BMP to nb image files)

wait..... JUST FOUND THIS....See here:- :D
no point in repeating....
