man i got infected with that last week so its actually totally possible, but SAV CE 10 says I am clean.
did your AV give you any more detail? if you mean it claims os.nb.payload is infected, i dont see how thats possible.

Thanks for the work!
About to load this up and test it now over my 3.2.5 release that I just recently moved to from stock Sprint :D.
Only question is do you post changelogs to the Carrier Cabs? I noticed you updated the Sprint Carrier cab yesterday and was wondering what changed in it?

I noticed that the bug with the start bar appearing too soon on the 3.2.5 kitchen (as well as the 20226 and 20270 kitchens) is gone. Very nice. ME LIKE! I think I am now officially a DCD kitchen fan. Also noticed that this 3.2.6 seems to have a little more free RAM on boot than 3.2.5, and with the Titan, every f*ckin KB counts. Thanks again :D

BTW, to anyone who is interested...i took the Verizon OEM from the PPCKitchen "Carriers_Titan.rar" and threw it in the OEM folder for the DCD kitchen....and it works great. No need to install the DCD carrier cab after flashing.
Used the OEM on both 3.2.5 and now 3.2.6, works great. Food for thought.

wELL, i HAVE dcd's 3.2.5 working like I like and now I find he has released 3.2.6. Oh well, I guess I will have to load this one now :). Anyway, I was also wondering if anyone on Alltel has been able to get version 5 of Arcsoft MMs to work? I have tried several versions and none seem to send on Alltel. Version 3 works fine. I would like the ability to use smilies in my messages. Any way, great work DCD. I will post any issues I have, but I do not htink I will have any since 3.2.5 worked fine for me.

Fortunately, I have had no problems. I know ur kitchen was not designed around these particular OEMs, but it has worked just fine 4 me. 2x over to be exact.
I'm just throwing it out there cuz it worked great for me(x2) and was my second dcd kitchen ROM upgrade in the last week. The VZW oem made my cooking experience that much more enjoyable. I just thought I was helpin other peeps with VZW.
Again, thanks for a kick ass ROM, I am currently a DCD fan now...20270 is no where NEAR as good as this 3.2.6 :P
-edit-
I feel I should also mention that I am in no way trying to circumvent your ROMS/work. I was just thinkin I could save some peeps a few steps. Worst case scenario??? u gotta recook/flash.

Id flashed within an hour of hearing that there was a new version. BUT, my hard reset is literally the time to flash, the 5-10 minutes of UC time, and like 6 config changes, and Im set. My UC even syncs to exchange automatically for mail, contacts, tasks and calendar. So Im down for maybe 20 minutes and lose nothing. (I dont bother registering SPB stuff, it gets reset whenever I feel like it)
Last post on this page, so nobody will ever see it. Sad panda. :(

I read every post for the first few days when a new rom comes out--including your "bottom of the page" one.
Where do you suggest I look to learn more about using UC to automate stuff? I take about 35 mins to set things back up, and would love to see that goto 15.

I've cooked some ROMs for my phone probably close to 15 times now since I got it. I always use the arcosft 5.0.31.25 cab file afterward and haven't had a problem. Well, ok scratch that, I HAVE had to install the cab more than once on a few occasions. I'll attach the one I use, maybe it will help you. Let me know.

The Kitchen is clean, Turn off your antivirus and download it run the application then turn the antivirus on again. make sure you don't have the internet connected just to be safe.
Let me assure you of something. If NOD32 says there is an issue, there most certianly is. This AV software is one of the best on the planet. It's received the ITW(In The Wild) Award for 7 or so years in a row. It's really good at catching virus's that do not presently have a definition yet. The Advanced Heuristics scanning is as good as it gets. It's one of the few that looks at the code not just definitions. So your advice to shut down the AV is a little misleading. You should look into the real reason why it's alerting before you give that sort of advice.
Now with that being said. NOD32 is alerting because the structure of code within the payload. Give me a little more time and I'll post exactly what part of the code it is.

I've seen it do that once or twice but I'd rather be safe than sorry. The act of just simply shutting it off without knowing exactly what it's alerting you to isn't advised. If you're not going to take the time to look into it I'd suggest you run Norton's instead. It's more than happy to let you aquire virus's and malicous script without alerting you to it.

no, you'll have to wait until the NOD32 warning is figured out.
you can also download the kitchen and build the rom in about 5 clicks.
thats what i did but everytime i build a kitchen i always get a memory leak somewhere. i unchecked everything internet sharing, office, ect. only had the camera dialers and comm and built it. got 170 on the space and then i would install a program and next program to install space would be down to 120. so i always just run the roms instead!

the concern was over a virus spreading to other users PC's when they run the standalone ROM .exe to update. i have ruled it a false alarm at this point.

I am running dcd's 3.2.5 ROM - If I install the 3.2.6 ROM will I need to:
Stop the customizations from running?
Will I need to re-run the carrier cab file again?
I'm on Verizon. Thanks!
Once I get this info and backup stuff I will re-install.

I believe his standalone rom is the same thing as if you run the kitchen and take all the default settings. So if he has to take the rom down again, use the kitchen and just don't check or uncheck any preselected boxes and you should end up with the same rom. DCD correct me if I'm wrong, but I've seen this posted before, so I am assuming it's correct.
WinAntiVirus 2009 has about 100 + different variants, I fight a different variant almost every day at work (I'm a PC service technician along with the many other hats I wear at work), some are extremely easy to clean (just kill the start up exe file and delete the folder), others go in and damage windows beyond repair (remove All Programs Folder, disable control panel, task manager, regedit, and many other features.) I can undo about 98% of what it does damage wise, still haven't found a tweak to restore the All Programs folder, every regedit I have found to turn it back on doesn't work. The folder exists because Programs show up in Classic Start menu (but then Control Panel, Network Connections are missing). There are some real nasty variants of it floating around. I've not seen any versions that spread to other exe files, the pc's are infected by drive by websites/pdf's/flash files, so it's extremely unlikely his rom has it (tho I suppose it's possible if he didn't delete the temporary internet files from his rom, it may have picked up a trace of it there.)
Anyways, if his running Nod32 locally on his machine showed him clean, then I wouldn't hesitate downloading his pre-built rom, as its much easier to flash with. But I still prefer the kitchen so I can turn on a few extra items and disable a couple others I don't use.
Just my 2 coppers.

Always let DCD's customization run, yes you will need to rerun the carrier cab, installing a rom does a hard reset, so everything is set back to DCD's defaults. So you will need to reinstall any apps you use, reconfigure email, etc.

Data usually won't work without the carrier cab. The carrier cab usually finished the data setup and sets a couple other things unique to each carrier. So while calls may work, text/sms/gps/data may not.
It's the general consensus that you always install the carrier cab. It shouldn't hurt anything, and can only help.

Sad panda. :(
Congrats on getting your UC setup so thouroughly. I have been trying (off and on) for a while to get my Exchange settings put in a provisioning xml, but haven't had any success. Would you mind sharing your sdconfig.txt and provisioning.xml files to give me a few hints?

Hey everything is working great except my phone will not go into evdo it stays in 1x. I am on Sprint, any help would be appreciated. I ran the sprint carrier cab.
that could be for alot of reasons. ill give you all the fixes. obviously if #1 or #2 fix your problem, stop there.
1. try and go to phone settings, internet, get settings
2. install the sprint PPST cab and run /windows/PPST.exe
3. in EPST change M.IP setting from "Mobile IP Only" to "Mobile IP Preferred" and accept, phone will restart. then go back in and change back from "Mobile IP Preferred" to "Mobile IP only" and accept, phone will again restart.
if you dont know what i mean by #2 or #3 search xda, there are plenty of threads on it, sorry I am in a hurry.
also if you have a big sync going or something... your data connection has to be idle before it will switch to Ev
also check fieldtrial.exe or ##DEBUG# and look at the HDR tab, check RSSI and make sure a subnet is listed.

This looks very cool. The one thing that stops me from jumping on the bandwagon right away is the fact that I JUST got 3.2.5 up and running yesterday the way that I like it (apps and such). I'll probably get bored tomorrow and do it anyway, but this may give me an easy way to get back up and running.

If I were you, I would run my backup program and have a saved copy of the rom/kitchen you are on. Then do the upgrade...if you find it is not to your taste...reload the old rom and run your backup last. Then you will be back to where you began...

I of course have since hard-reset and done a few other things and HTML is no longer selectable, it's grayed out. Anyone know what causes it to not be selectable, or how to re-enable it? I get a lot of emails in HTML and they are ugly in text mode.

Your question is definitely unique. Because it's in the middle of a new rom thread, that's probably why it wasn't answered. Not many people may use the IRDA. Post a new thread in the Upgrade forum and you may get an answer. Unfortunately, I haven't used it once, so I'm no help.

In general people are more than willing to help in my experience. ROM flashing is not something to be taken lightly, and you should read up on the whole process before you start. One of the problems with your questions (likely why you haven't had much in terms of response) is that you do not provide the details of your problems with your IR. ie My IR doesn't work. It would be helpful if you provided ROM info and what you have enabled and not enabled, and the error that you are getting. If the stock verizon rom had the same problem with behavior and you needed to replace the entire phone, then perhaps it was hardware rather than software. The point is that often people don't respond to questions they cannot answer based on a lack of information. And I can say that I will personally ignore questions that do not provide information, or the extremely basic ones that you might get from reading the faq or wiki.
BTW Good work on this Rom so far DCD. I was wondering, there was a post a while back that added Japanese text input to the rom. It replaces the Wince.nls. I think it was written for your 3.0.1 rom though. I keep just replacing the winCE.nls file in the sys folder and all seems well, but is this breaking anything? I noticed that on this rom, the hardware keyboard sensitivity seems down. I can type and it will skip some letters that I press. If I go back and type each letter again with a harder keypress, it shows up.

I would think if you download the kitchen and delete the dcd_samsungD3Ddrv directory from the sys folder... that it would be removed. I'm not sure what affect it will have on the rom. But, it's a thought. DCD would have to chime in and see if this is the solution.

Is anybody having any issues with getting bluetooth headsets to connect with 3.2.6? I installed the new ROM yesterday, and ever since my Motorola H685 or Jabra BT350 are not connecting. I am able to get both devices to pair correctly with the phone, they show up correctly in the devices screen, but they will not connect with the phone. I had no problems with the Motorola or Jabra with the 3.2.5 rom. I tested the Motorola on a different phone and it works fine. So, it is definitely something with the rom.

DCD,
First time posting here but Ive been following these roms for a while. I have previously used no2chems rom but with the lack of updates I decided to try your build. Very impressed with the speed and lack of bugs. Battery life is not quite as good as no2 5069 builds but overall i like this rom better. One issue I am having is that my text messages are erased after a soft reset. some threads indicated this was because the messaging program was not closing but i have been using wktask to close all programs before a soft reset. the mssages are still disappearing. i used pim t restore texts from yhe 3.2.5 build and these are not being erased. any ideas here? thanks again for all your work.

Is there a list of what has been done in the current rom - (stock, not cooked in a kitchen) - IE a total list of changes / customizations / hacks - not just what's changed since the last build. I'm new to your ROM's since 3.2.5, so I'm not familiar in what has already been included.

One last thing. Can someone enable Wi-Fi, then open a VPN connection, and let the phone go to sleep while VPN is still connected. Wait a good like 5 minutes. And try to wake the phone up - power button per usual, and post up if the phone wakes up or not. My phone always locks up when this happens, and I have to soft reset it. I can't let it fall asleep or this happens, I've seen others post up about this problem too. Was curious if DCD knew of a fix or if this ROM fixed it. Unfortunatly "VPN" is too short of a string to search for and I've found very little info re: this issue. Thanks!

They are SOFTWARE accellearted (ie they aren't using the phones chipset per se to provide acceleartion) - 3d ONLY drivers. They are not going to to much if anything for 2d (ie video, etc). They are for rendering objects in 3d, and if software is able to take advantage of them (which not very much does) - you will see a large boost in 3d performance.
I can't imagine them changing anything in regards to 2d / video performance.

I would greatly appreciate that. It only seems to affect Slingplayer of the programs I have, of which none are 3D. That's why if I could remove the driver it would solve my problem. Hey Nitro sorry i stepped away lol...i reloaded my previous custom rom which had arcsoft included and it works perfectly but i wanted to try something newer since i have had this one since atleast may...yes i was able to get data up and running easily but when i would try to send a pic it would never connect and would always save it to the draft folder..same with recieving...i sent myself a pic from my email address and it did come but would not load and it too gave me the same response...saving to folder...for some reason it won't connect or send out with pics but internet is fine:p
everything else as i have stated was excellent..love the speed and everything
Hmm... Cricket.... Only thing I can think of is verify that the Carrier Cab installed properly... re-install it... that won't hurt anything. As far as Arcsoft working properly, I know of the Verizon version floating around. I'm not sure about Cricket's version. Mine was giving me similar problems initially. After going to Settings,Connections,Connections... and Manage existing connections... I had to edit the username and password. Once that was set... I had no problem sending or receiving.

Is anybody having any issues with getting bluetooth headsets to connect with 3.2.6?.......
........
Just wondering if anybody else has had any issues.
My Jabra BT3030 works fine.
I assume you've performed a soft reset?
I've had issues in the past where suddenly it wouldnt connect. Turn off the bluetooth headset, disable bluetooth on the phone, re-enable blue tooth, turn the headset back on... that usually works for me. If not.. soft reset does it.
Ive had those issues since stock though.. and they got less since I started with my DCD rom addiction. It doesn't happen very often anymore.
I assume you have done all of this though?

Yes. I have soft reset the device numerous times, turned on and off the bluetooth device and turned on and off bluetooth on the phone.
Weird, I have never had a problem with any custom rom until this one. Of course, I have only been using the custom roms since about version 3.2.2.
I will mess around with it and see if I can figure anything out. I might have to reinstall 3.2.5. It is just a bummer because I now have the device all set up again. Oh well, such is life I guess.
Thank you for responding with your suggestions.

If you are on a working rom... Export the Arcsoft Reg Key (HKLM>Software>Arcsoft) Flash 3.2.6, install Arcsoft and merge the reg key. that should do it... (I'm pretty sure) thats how I would get mine working in previous roms before GC's most excellent automated VZW install.

Just wondering if anybody else has had any issues.
My Blueant Z9 v4 is working perfect in this 3.2.6 Kitchen build.

OK, two quick questions. Please realize that this is my first ROM flash. I read all of the Wiki information and didn't see answers to these questions.
First, where do I put the carrier CAB file? I can't seem to figure this out. I extracted all of the kitchen files, but I don't see anywhere to put this.
Second, are system tweaks already applied in dcd's ROMs? I have several performance tweaking CABs, but I'm not sure if I should set these to automatically install or not.
Thanks for all the help! I'm pretty pumped to jump into the world of PPC hacking :)
EDIT: After rereading the first post, it seems like the carrier CAB just needs to be installed at some point to have internet. Is that the case? If so, I'm assuming I could just add it to the UC script, correct?

doesn't matter where the carrier cab is put... just make sure you install it. i assume it needs to be installed to the device (versus the storage card). not sure about the performance tweaks, because i don't know all the ones that you do. i noticed with the usual battery tweaks some of the 'DisablePowerManagement' are still set to 1.

i noticed a few minor problems with the rom.
When im charging the phone the light continues to flash rather than a solid light.
And it flashes orange even though the battery is above 50%.
Also at the task manager at the top right corner of the home screen is missing, i would have to manually go to start>task manager> end all task.
other than that everything is fine from what i can see.
Another note, how do i use remote desktop moblie?? what does it mean by domain? and how do i enroll? i want to connect it to my desktop at home thats on a 3com wireless router.

reflash the rom? do i just run the rom again or do i need to "relock it"sorrry for my ignorance but could you please explain?
The screen shot of the phone from the OP also doesnt show the task manager at the top right corner on the 4th screen shot.

u can either hard reset by holding the two soft keys with dots on them and pushing the reset button, or yes, you can completely reflash by running the Rom Update utility again.

I got UC running good, but is there a way to have some apps install onto the SD card?
no, this is a limitation of autorun. all cabs install to the device.
picture mail in 3.2.6
my ROMs do not include any MMS related software. anything used for MMS would have to be installed by cab.
I feel I should also mention that I am in no way trying to circumvent your ROMS/work.
i just had to say my disclaimer, its all good.
hey dcd is SprintTV included somewhere in the kitchen?
no, doesnt it come as a .cab in the sprint ROMs? i thought people were installing that way.
Could you please include the dialer popup fix?
it is included, an OEM or UC entry you are including has to be changing the registry key.
Hey dcd, is there a change log for the carrier cabs as well some place? Also I noticed you already have folders for Victor and Herman. How long do you think it would take to dcd'ize them?
i do not keep a changelog of carrier cabs as any change to them is always minor.
i have not done much work on victor or herman yet.
Download link to the ROM is down. Anyone care to share the love with a link?
to my knowledge, there has been zero downtime since N715DP started hosting my stuff. if i typo a link, you can always browse here (http://lifesnotsogood.com/dcd1182).
I want to control my phone with my desktop.
the ppc files required for Activesync Remote Display are included in the ROM. Activesync Remote Display is part of the Windows Mobile Developer Power Toys (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=74473FD6-1DCC-47AA-AB28-6A2B006EDFE9&displaylang=en).
there are alot of things on the current rom that I'm using that I like. How do I put those things into this rom?
you would need to acquire .cab files for them to install on the phone after flashing the ROM. the vogue camera is available in the kitchen if you wanted to build your own.
could not open lockboxes with irda....ekey application did would no longer communicate with ge website
what are lockboxes that open with irda? what is ekey? im sorry i am not familiar with these things. i do not have any way to test irda other than the fact that i can see red light come out of the port in the dark and i have confirmed my irda settings with a few other rom chefs.
I cannot get a data connection with this ROM.
did you install the carrier cab?

HTML for email....what causes it to not be selectable
this is a feature of Exchange 2007. If you have not yet synced anything, the phone doesnt know what version of Exchange is on the server end. You can select HTML, then sync to an Exchange 2003/2003SP1 server and the option will return to text.
i would make a contribution if the instructions were layed out a little clearer for creating kitchens and so forth and answering questions. but my question was simply ignored as if it didnt even exist.
noone needs to make a contribution unless they feel they want to. my releases are in no way contingent upon contributions. but please know that i just had not had time to get to your question yet. i usually make an effort to answer all questions for the first few days after a release. i also do tend to ignore some questions if they are answered elsewhere in the thread (by someone else or in areas linked in post #1) but this was not the case with your question.
I keep just replacing the winCE.nls file in the sys folder and all seems well, but is this breaking anything?
its not breaking anything. if you wanted to be picky, the proper way would be to replace the WinCENLS_WWE package with its japanese equivalent. but as long as this works for you, go for it. this package doesnt seem to be build specific, and if it ever does become that way, you could dump a newer japanese rom...
Does anybody know how to remove the Samsung Omni D3D driver
well stupidly i removed the stock driver. i should have instead had the omnia driver parse later and overwrite the reg key. i have made a cab of the stock driver for you until next release.
Good messaging does not let me open programs? Is there a registry change or 3rd party program to let me open programs. 3.2.5 had the same problem and I went back to 3.2.3
I just upgraded from 3.2.3.
can you show me a screenshot of what you are talking about? i have never used Good messaging. if it worked in 3.2.3 it should narrow down the possibilities..
Is anybody having any issues with getting bluetooth headsets to connect with 3.2.6?
mine is working fine, but i only have one model here to test. i have not made any BT changes in quite a while.
my text messages are erased after a soft reset.
I have not seen anything like this. Can you try with a clean ROM and see if you have the same results?
a total list of changes / customizations / hacks - not just what's changed since the last build.
the changelog.txt included in the root kitchen folder is the entire changelog back to version 1.6.5 when the changelog began. the 1% battery driver is included.
see how many pages of symbols there are?
whoops, I did replace the sympad files using the latest official ROM, and forgot to list it in the changelog. it should be fine now.
VPN connection....Wait a good like 5 minutes.
i downed my openvpn server in favor of MS VPN and have not rewritten rules to move VPN traffic to that host yet. in other words i cant vpn home right now. i will try and finish setting that up so i can test this.
That might be detrimental to the quality of his work!
in all honesty i pretty frequently come home after a few drinks and put a little bit of time into the kitchen. it gets tested :)
on 326 even if i use a cab that's preconfigured for cricket(arcsoft 5) it doesn't work
can you point me to the cab you are using? i cannot test since i have sprint, but maybe something will stick out.

I would greatly appreciate that. It only seems to affect Slingplayer of the programs I have, of which none are 3D. That's why if I could remove the driver it would solve my problem. I hate to go back to 3.2.5 since each version seems to get better and better. I join in thanks to DCD for putting together such a fine program.

If the light keeps flashing orange while charging it either means your battery is overheating, or you have a notification... or had one and the hook never reset.

My mogul is running 3.2.6 with sprint radio 3.42.02. It has a PRI of 2.00_003
I flashed my dad's with 3.2.5 with sprint radio 3.42.02. His has PRI of 1.24_003
What are the main differences between these two? Pardon my ignorance, but is this built into the 3.2.6 upgrade or is there another factor?
Things seem to be working ok on both, except that my trial software built into rom is now coming up as expired without allowing me to input my (legitimate) serial numbers, whereas my dad's build is allowing me to run trials for a few days. There are no other differences between my builds except for changes by dcd.
Is there any info out there or someone who might be able to help?

Check out a little prog called PIMBackup. Search around, it is in the forums somewhere. Saves calls, appointments, SMS, tasks, etc... and can restore to that point. By the way..make sure you save the backup on the storage card.

DCD,
Sorry I should have posted that I installed a clean ROM and did not build from a kitchen. The odd thing is that I went ahead and tried installing two different ROMS tonight and saw the issue in both. No2's pre8 build had the problem and also JD from ppcgeeks. I am going to flash a stock rom to it and then try to reinstall your 3.2.6. IF I reset using the power button, the text messages are saved, however using the soft reset hole the text messages are deleted even if I have closed the messaging app in task manager. I will try to see what happens and report back. Thanks for the reply and I appreciate all your work.

Why isn't there a step by step guide on how to UPGRADE from an old rom to a new one? The FAQ and Wiki only has for new installs.
I'm still running 3.2.0 with 3.42.30. How do I upgrade both? Whats the benefit of upgrading the Radio? Whats the kitchen file and how is it different from the Rom/radio?

You need to upgrade them seperately, using the same methods you did the first time.
Upgrade the radio to the newest version by flashing from SD Card. It affects cell reception, bluetooth & gps quality, etc.
The Kitchen is a progrram that lets you customize what components are included in the O/S Rom. DCD provides a "standard" ROM you can use, but if you want to change what is included in that ROM, then you can use the kitchen to select which items you want before the ROM flashes.
Read through the stickies some more. It is all there.

Ok, so I want to make sure I understand this before I fry my phone:
Step 1) Upgrade my SPL-2.40.0lipro to nueSPL-2.47 using the nueSPL-2.47.rar file and instructions found within.
Step 2) Upgrade my 2.42.30 Radio to 3.42.50 using the Titan Radio ROM 3.42.50.rar file. Just put the "TITAIMG.nbh" into my formatted storage card and restart and it should do the rest.
Step 3) Upgrade my 3.2.0 Rom to 3.2.6 by using the dcd_titan_3.2.6.exe file. Just click on it while connected to active sync and follow the instructions on my computer?
Step 4) Perform the customization after device restarts?
Step 5) Run the dcd Telus Carrier 20080816.cab file on my Titan (P4000)?
Is this right?

Step 2) Upgrade my 2.42.30 Radio to 3.42.50 using the Titan Radio ROM 3.42.50.rar file. Just put the "TITAIMG.nbh" into my formatted storage card and restart and it should do the rest.
Step 3) Upgrade my 3.2.0 Rom to 3.2.6 by using the dcd_titan_3.2.6.exe file. Just click on it and follow the instructions?
Step 4) Perform the customization after device restarts?
Step 5) Run the dcd Telus Carrier 20080816.cab file?
Is this right?
Why are you changing the SPL? SPL-2.40 Olipro works fine with the new radio and rom.
Step 3: Connect with activesync in order to install.

OP says its recommended to upgrade. I shouldn't?
Hard-SPL 2.XX is REQUIRED.
A device with SPL 1.20-olipro will constantly reboot with this rom!
I would also recommend that Hard-SPL 2.40 users update to Hard-SPL 2.47.

That's his recommendation. I'm not sure what the difference is. I haven't had any issues with Hard-SPL 2.40. If there is something wrong with it.... then I wish I was told about it. :D

Quick question (and tell me if I need to post somewhere else): is there any way to run a pre-upgrade script automatically? For example, I'd like to have a script to copy my data to the SD card, then use the SDConfig to copy the data back to the device after running the ROM upgrade.
BTW, guys, if you want a quick and easy way to set your email accounts and settings up automatically, try this:
http://tiermann.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3:personal-oemizer&catid=1:Desktop&Itemid=3
I was able to make an OEM module with all of my personal settings. Worked like a charm! You can supposedly use this to convert CABs to OEM folders, but I don't recommend it. There are too many things you have to edit to get everything just right. I spent 3-4 hours trying to integrate everything OEM, but I just gave up and used the SD card autorun. So much easier.

Interesting - outperforms with what? time to flash radios? Any other preformance improvements to be had? I am running 2.4 without any issues / complaints.
Step 2) Upgrade my 2.42.30 Radio to 3.42.50 using the Titan Radio ROM 3.42.50.rar file. Just put the "TITAIMG.nbh" into my formatted storage card and restart and it should do the rest.
You must "enter bootlaoder" as opposed to "restart". Press power+camera+reset button.
Steps 4 and 5 are both yes.

Yeah, I checked that out, but UC was a bit simpler for me.
Are there any other programs that will integrate CABs into the actual ROM for you? I would love to be able to do a hard reset and come up with all of my programs. Granted, UC doesn't take that long...

dcd1182,
In 3.2.5, in Messaging > Email, I could select one or more emails, tap "Menu" and in the menu there was an option labeled something like "Download" or "Download Messages".
In 3.2.6, the option is gone.
I did use that option a lot, but it is not a huge deal living without it.
My questions:
1. Out of curiosity, was that just a change in the M$ Build or was that something else?
2. Is this something that could be included in later releases? (Or is that dependent on M$?)

I was unable to flash my kitchen built rom using nueSPL from the Storage Card.
I have been flashing roms using this method for a while and it just stopped working after I built my latest rom from the 3.2.6 kitchen. I really like being able to keep a few roms on my Storage Card and flash them without any PC interaction.
I was able to flash it using the RUU method so all's well for now but I am curious as to why all of a sudden the Storage Card method stopped working. I put it in boot loader mode by pressing and holding power, camera and reset. It goes to the ugly rainbow screen. But then instead of switching quickly to the screen that usually says "TITAIMG" and "OS" and "press power" it just stays at the rainbow screen and the word "SERIAL" appears in the bottom color.
This only happened after cooking in a Pocket Sand OEM, which by the way, does anyone have a Pocket Sand cab? I much prefer cabs.
Not an issue really, but curious.
Anyone else out there have this same issue and possibly a solution?

You might want to try OEMIZER. It can take a cab and make it into an OEM. But like serfboreds said, "they have been proven to be buggy, and prevent you from uninstalling"
Still, a pretty cool tool, and many cab to oem conversions work flawlessly. Usually if during the installation of a particular cab, you are asked to reboot or are prompted for more information, converting that cab to an OEM will not usually produce good results.
For me personally, I ONLY use OEMs when I can't find the cabs

dcd--suggestion for your next update--
Could you please include the dialer popup fix?
Registry fix:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413151
Thanks,
jtg
I know that SPB Pocket Plus 4 is one culprit that un-fixes the dialer pop up. There is that registry fix where you change a 1 to a 2 or something, which is probably built in now with 3.2.6, but SPB Pocket Plus 4 (and probably other programs) set it back to 1, unfixing the dialer pop up issue. It is odd though that this doesn't happen in non-dcd roms, but I don't use PP4 any more so all's well for me. I just used it mainly for the panning in PIE, which I now use Opera Mobile and Skyfire, and I used it to show my memory status, remaining device space, and remaining storage card space, which I now have a new program I wrote (modified m$ sample of memwatcher) to do that so I don't need pp4 any more.
Curious: are you using SPB Pocket Plus?
Edit: I also really liked the additional hardware button hold options you get with SPB PP4, but I was able to live without it in order to regain all the memory it hogged.
D C D 1 1 8 2: Is that something you might be able to incorporate? Additional Button Setting options? i.e. "Message Button (Hold)" and "IE Button (Hold)"? Just a really nice to have that we can probably all live without. Just though I might try and plant a seed.

I am not sure how many people are experts with this. I have asked this before as well. In the section for the 3.2.5 release someone answered my question. Do a search for the registry tweak that creates a log file with your SPL in it. Then use QPST to read the phone programming info, do all the flashes, then write the phone programming back, then dial *228 to update your SPL and get the phone back online.
Worked perfect on my first try.
Cab works fine, tho you need the QPST programming back on the phone to make it work perfect. Without that you may have issues with seeing the phone dialup and a few other minor issues.

This is a change that wasn't in old DCD roms that I used.
It seems the screen turns off when I make a call (though not when I pick up a call I receive).
This is problematic, as for instance, lets say the # is busy. I'd want to hangup, but the hangup button no longer works, I now have to turn the screen back on and then press the hangup button.
any ideas on how to change this?

There's no need to return to the stock ROM. If you've flashed DCD's ROM before, you should already have Olipro 2.40 or 2.47 on the phone. All you have to do is flash the new ROM.

Download your choice of file.....
1.
Hit Power-Camera-Reset to check what version of bootloader you have installed.
*
At the tri-colour bootscreen you will see the version number installed.
o if it is 1.04, 1.06, or 2.07 then you must unlock your phone and upgrade to 2.40 or 2.47. Olipro 1.20 is not necessary at all when using newer ROMs/Radios.
o if it is 1.20 then you have the pre-GPS ROM bootloader and must first flash to one of the older ROMs and associated radio to boot into WM, get an ActiveSync connection and then upgrade to 2.40.
o if it is 2.40 or 2.47 then you have the correct bootloader and are ready to move on to the Radio Upgrade in Section III.
2.
Reset your device and boot into Windows Mobile
* if you cannot boot into the OS, then for your installed bootloader you must flash your Titan to a suitable stock or third party ROM plus have installed the appropriate radio for that ROM.
Choose A or B
IF YOU HAVE A MicroSD CARD
A. Upgrade via the microSD (<=2GB) card
(Thanks to No2Chem - donate here)
1. Copy the nueSPL-2.47.exe file onto your device.
2. Run the application and accept the license agreement, then press CONTINUE.
3. Read the prerequisite check screen carefully. If it indicates that you do not have a FAT32 formatted partition, you will need to format your microSD card by pressing FORMAT.
4. If your card is already FAT32 formatted, and it has as least 1MB of space available, press CONTINUE.
5. Press CONTINUE to begin the fashing proccess. It will take approximately 10 seconds to complete, and your phone will reboot automatically. If prompted, press the POWER button to begin updating.
6. Allow your phone to fully reboot. Once your phone is rebooted, open fle explorer and inspect to see if your storage card contains the file TITAIMG.nbh. If it is present, delete it before continuing.
7. Press the CAMERA-POWER-RESET buttons at the same time in order to enter the bootloader. You should see a screen that says SPL-2.47No2Chem Titan SPL EVT. If you see this text, your SPL has been sucessfully updated If you do not, power of your phone and start over from step 1. To return back to your phone, press the RESET button.
IF you have a USB cable and Activesync
B. Upgrade via the USB
1. Establish an ActiveSync connection
2.
On your PC execute Hard-SPL-MFG.exe to upgrade the bootloader to 2.40
* Follow the steps in the CMD window closely, you need to disconnect and reconnect the USB cable half way through the procedure to get the new bootloader installed correctly.

1) Download Radio 3.42.50 from here.... Radio 3.42.50 (http://lifesnotsogood.com/dcd1182/titan/radios/Titan%20Radio%20ROM%203.42.50.rar)
2) Extract the file TITAIMG.nbh from the rar and copy it to the SD Card and put the card back into the phone
3) Get into BootLoader. Power + Camera + reset. Follow the prompts.
when it's complete.... get back into bootloader.
4) Download DCD 3.2.6 HERE (http://www.lifesnotsogood.com/dcd1182/titan/roms/dcd_titan_3.2.6.exe)
5) Right click on the EXE and extract the files. you'll find Ruu_signed.nbh. Rename it TITAIMG.nbh and copy it to your MicroSD card using your SD adapter on the computer.
Same as above... Power+Camera+reset....
When complete... let it boot into WM6.1
So now i have 2 TITAIMG.nbh files on my card?

No. Only one at a time. Do the radio... then let it flash...
overwrite the radio with the 3.2.6 Rom

OOPS!! ONE LAST STEP.... You need the Verizon Carrier cab. Locate it HERE (http://lifesnotsogood.com/dcd1182/carriers/dcd%20Verizon%20Carrier%2020080719.cab)
Copy it to your phone and run it on your phone. Then soft-reset.
Don't forget to *228 option 1... then after it reboots.... *228 option 2

i'm not familiar with Backing up using any software. Somebody else may have to chime in. I just sync my contacts... and backup my messages with Jeyo SMS backup. I don't think you'll have a problem restoring using whatever software you used to backup originally

Just loaded DCD rom dcd_titan_3.2.6.exe on mogul by Sprint. Looking really good, fast and have 25~mb of free RAM :) I see everything is stripped down.
What is the best option to get JAVA and SprintTV on my device? I see I can use the kitchen to build a rom with Jeodek.
Or is it best to keep rom clean and install everything I want manually then use backup program for quick recovery?

It's generally not recommended to do a restore after a ROM change, unless you're talking basic PIM data. SPB Backup 2 has a function that is supposed to allow for a restore after a ROM change, but you run the risk of introducing some problems.

What app did you use to b/u? What are you looking to restore also?

I select the ROM update option and (KEY) uncheck the overwrite existing files. New, unique files get restored . . . existing files do not get overwritten. Boots up very nicely to my pre-ROM update state of functionality.

I have been awfully tempted to do this. Some of the ROMs will adjust registry setings and doing a restore may change those settings which may introduce a bug or not allow for the fullest benefits of the newer ROM. It may also not allow programs to work correctly. I will definitely be following this function with much interest.

Well, I finally took the plung and updated my phone from 3.2.5 to 3.2.6 :). All went well untill I checked MMS. I used DCD's Alltel cab to setup my carrier and MMS still will not work with it :(. Anyway, I went back to the Alltel OEM I edited with a little help from another user and re-cooked the ROM. I can now report that MMS is again working :p.
DCD. I would like for you to get your Alltel carrier cab fixed. I have attached the OEM I am using so you can take a look at it or make it into a cab. The optional.xml data I add to your optional.xml file in the SYS folder. I copy the carriers_alltel folder to your SYS folder. I then cook the ROM and load it onto my phone. I do not know enough about this stuff to know what the differences are, so maybe you can check it out.
Anyway, thank you for the good work. Keep it up. We need folks like you to keep the carriers honest ;). As of right now, all is running smooth. Very fast and no problems. Will let you know if I run into any issues.

I will definitely be following this function with much interest.I cannot state with absolute certainty that there are no new ROM functionalities overwritten, but there is nothing awry that I can discern. ALL of my issues I had with the stock ROM and my XV6800 are solved, namely:
Alarms (SPB Time) work precisely and dependably
Scheduled Backups (SPB) run without error and without creating corrupt backups
Device reboots with the micro-SD card inserted
All instructions execute faster
Resco Explorer Networking works - cradled and WiFi (did not with stock ROM)
Several other application specific bugs disappeared
Leaving me with no known issues . . . so I'm a happy camper. :)

Good messaging does not let me open programs? Is there a registry change or 3rd party program to let me open programs. 3.2.5 had the same problem and I went back to 3.2.3
I just upgraded from 3.2.3.
Thanks for any help
P.S. Just sent a donation
I have Good Messaging installed on my vx6800. I've had no issues running Good with DCD 3.1.6, 3.2.5 and now 3.2.6, well other than Good being a memory hog.
Currently I'm running Good version 5.0.5.23
