I have noticed that there is a bit of play with the mini-USB socket, not the whole thing just the 5-pin bit in the middle. If I touch the connector with the stylus or a pen it there is a small amount of movement up and down. Is this normal or is it on it's way out?
I only noticed this recently and it may have been like this from new, however I don't another Kaiser as a reference. I would be grateful if someone would have a look and a poke at their Kaiser to see if its the same?

Thanks

Andy

Haven't had a problem with my Kaiser, but had to have Tilt exchanged for
bad USB Port. There have been other reports of this.

Thanks for the reply but it didn't really help. Can you have a look at your Kaiser and see if there is any play in your mini-USB socket? Or are you saying yours is solid?

Cheers

Mine is pretty solid. No movement that I can see.

My replacement Tilt that I got just over 1 month ago has a semi-loose USB port. There is play with the cable when it's connected, but my connection to the PC has never been affected by it.

Thanks for the replies so far. I would be grateful if a few others would test this out for me with their Kaisers and report back here. It is a very small amount of movement, however it worries me a bit ....

if i were you i will better take it to be checked. i am worried that by time dust, humidity, dirts might accumulate inside (if its loose then it means that a gap exists)

I got my third Kaiser last week for USB issues. Even on my 8525 this was a problem. I'm on AT&T and I pay $50 for a replacement device with insurance, starting November 1st they are going up to $125 so i've gotten both mine and my girlfriend's replaced. Wiggly USB usually means upcomming death.
