Finally got my MMS `sort of working'. I have received 2 MMS (different sources). One opens correctly, the other I click download, it appears to download for approx 8 secs then nothing. The only thing I have noticed different about the 2 incomming MMS is the icons. One is a simple envelope(with text sheet once opened). This works ok . The 2nd is a smaller envelope with a blue vertical rectangle with graduation lines? (3d) on right hand side(this icon also has a smaller text sheet once opens) . I am guessing the reason it fails to open this message is due to the message type as identified by the different Icon...But what does the icon mean (then I can hopefully get everyone to avoid that format :)).Size appears to be ok....it opens the larger one (50k) but fails the 24k.The working one came from a motorola V220....the none working is currently unknown (but I will ask :))
mms v1.6.0.14 win 4.20.0 XDA 2 Tescomobile
This is driving me mad now not knowing....and have failed to locate any info...someone else must have seen it (and hopefully resolved :))
Thanks
Mark

The offending MMS is from a 3g Phone (T Mobile and is a sony ericson c 902)..I would have thought that any MMS would get through but maybe 3g uses a different format???....a bit more investigation is needed...google here I come :)

Well google revealed nothing......Best Guess's so far are it is compressed in some way...although seems strange that the format `appears' to be recognised (hence differnent Icon) but unable to unzip hence no picture.....this is such a niggle...but I need to get an answer!!.....how I wish I was not so curious :)
Tesco have stated there should be no problems with 3G messages......but there certainly is something from this phone at least....I have 4 now all the same so its not a one off (but all from this Phone on 3G.)

I am now wondering if the blue graduated box could be a film strip......still unable to see pic....even a pic sent from XDA and forwarded back has magically taken on this new Icon....so it must be something the Nokia is doing.....but as not able to get hands on it can't play

Well the net is closing....maybe
The mystery Icon (that also appears on a Motorola V220 when it receives the MMS from Nokia phone in question) is shown (in part anyway) as secure appliaction connection or secure packet(next to 3 sheets of paper). These Icon's have the Rectangular box (it looks a bit like a 1.5V AA battery shape ). As my icon is next to the envelope I `assume' this a secure (the icon like a battery)MMS (envelope.)
How on earth I am supposed to decode it is another question but I do not like being beaten by a machine.....and as at least people are looking at this thread I will keep plodding away. I just can't believe I am the only one to see this :)
