I recently bought a P3400, it says it supports video playing. But when i play a *.avi, media player throws an error "can not play this file". How do I play video on my phone? Pls help.

Try TCPMP coreplayer. It is freely available and much better the windows media player in the pocketpc. It can play full 3 hrs movie whereas windows media player starts crying while opening large files.

core player works fine for me while playing .avi files. but it stutters while playing h264(mp4,mkv) encoded files. does anyone know of any codec or any setttings for the smooth playing of these files.

Just overclock your device while playing heavy movies. It plays smoothly for me, while overclocking.

Another option is, converting the movies to a bit lower clarity. You can use "Youtube Downloader" software, which has got a very good conversion tool. Convert your existing MP4 (or any other) movie to the same type with "optimal" setting. After that movie plays smoothly on P3400i, without even overclocking. In this case too, clarity is also not tampered at all, in fact, it is good.

Can u mention the tool you use to overclock your device. And how much do i overclock it. The current clock speed is 201 Mhz. Doesnt overclocking cause any heating problems??
