WM6.1 Professional(build 20275) 12MB Pagepool for Polaris WWE

Friends,
WM6.1 ROM (build 20275) is finally out for testing. The released ROM uses 12MB of pagepool. You would like the speed of this ROM. I had been making many Himalaya ROMs (see my signature). Though I had been making many Polaris ROMs also for my personal use, but this is my first public release. I am sure you all shall like it.

MAIN Feature:

This ROM can be dumped and recooked. Unlike many of the cooks, no RGU have been deleted. No DSM has been deleted. And most of all, the ROM has not been crippled against dumping by deleting IMGFS signatures. So feel free to dump and modify upto your taste. And share the knowledge with the community. We can improve more by sharing the knowledge than keeping it secret.

General Notes: (Please Read before updating)

- There is readme.rtf inside the package. Pl read ir carefully.
- Remove SD card before update!
- There is no Radio or extended rom... JUST OS!
- You MUST install HARD SPL before going over a custom ROM.

Installation:

Install HARD SPL
Put device in bootloader mode.
Run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and good luck.

Sorry bro! it is WWE only at present. You can change the mui files and make it FRA.

Standard characters are coming fine in "Notes" on my polaris. see the thumbnail..

ok 1 bug found is when your trying to change ringtones and notifications under settings>sounds and notifications, it wont allow any changes to any alert, infact if you try to ok out of the screen it even changes the ringtone from what was previously set by the install to the ring-WindowsMobile....???? and it will not allow you to exit that screen

i have uploaded your rom. so far there is a problem with writing sms text. numbers are working , but letters not. there is no phone keypad whilst in landscape mode, so i cant dial numbers at all. do you think you can fix it, and sent me link to fixed rom?

This is the part that we have to add somewhere into

This happens whatever the SIP is choosen.

I have never had a problem like this. Could it be because I flashed from the SD card? it's my first time.

3. I've installed S2U but the touch flo still works over the s2u lock.
4. You have two zip softwares. One should be enough

Slow.. slow ... slower than UDK V7
With Vsbenchmark2007 this ROM is about 1550 points, when UDK was 1630 points/

Ahhgg! I've flashed again with the same results!! (with the SD card out)

In the mail wizard you can type the first two pages, but when you have to write your name and so, it's impossible.

The same behavior with the Notes application :(

I'm totally unable to type standard characters in SMS, MMS and emails !!! Only the numbers appear.
Never had this problem with others roms.

Dunno exactly but it seems that older builds although are slowest than these ones, at least were more stable...:rolleyes:

Here is the fix for the
1. Keyboard Problem AND
2. Notification problem where changing ringtone was not becoming possible.

Simply install this cab and enjoy...

I'm comming from Kaiser forum where I cook rom's and I want to do the same for Polaris. I understand there is no official wm6.1 for Polaris yet.

One question, I tried to dump the rom but no rgu's are in?

Also the camera doesn't work, it says 'failed to initialise'.

Several radio's I tried but with no succes:

1.58.25.14
1.64.08.21
1.71.09.01

Am I missing something, do you have some tips maybe?

There are rgu as well as dsm inside. And there are no issues with the camera. there were issues with KB and notifications_sounds there is a fix for that.

I'm very sorry, my mistake, I found the rgu's. :o

Probably I dumped the wrong rom.

But my camera seems to be broken. :( No mather which rom I flash (wm6 shipped or cooked), every time it fails to initialize. :( Could it be possible that I broke the camera with a bad flash?

But thank you anyway, this is the 1st WM6.1 cooked ROM I have been able to extract the \OEM and \SYS from for editing. I appreciate your straightforwardness very greatly.

Now to figure out how to edit \OEM and \SYS since I've been unable to dump them before. But at last I can try :)

Can anyone point to "how to's" for this editing, please? I've downloaded about a zillion bits of info but each refers to a different part of some method (and not the Polaris). Very conflicted and incoherent.
