1.2 lite has some changes to 1.0 lite that don't seem documented, I definately prefered the make up of 1.0, a great base ROM but 1.2 is also great in itself, it certainly ran TF3D without any problems outside the on/off bug. Currently running your M2D version, also runs great but will probably step back to 1.0 as I like the way it runs and seems a leaner ROM (did I notice approx 10mb in programs added between 1.0 lite and 1.2 lite?), only thing I miss is the bugged alarm.

I also noticed that Opera is meant to be removed via release notes but is still present in the ROM (1.2 lite).

All in all this base ROM and M2D version are my favorites so far, fantastic work bro, looking forward to more updates especially for the lite ROMS.

Thanks for feedbacks! I'm collecting and analysing last issues found in V1.2 (Lite/Pro) versions.

I'll be out during the day....but working on...

(1) Tomtom Nav.: Really don't know what could be causing this thing. I use Destinator 7 and on mine runs ok. Try ask members and search around for solutions while we look for a clue.

(2) Lite/Pro V1.2 Differences: I'll rebuild Lite version removing that extra MB found. It should be a real Lite.

(3) Album Pics view mode (Portrait/Gesture): I'm analysing different versions and I have release one with these features better implemented.

(4) Starwalker: Swiping/scrolling are both running well over here. Really. Try reset your device or think if an apps you installed could be causing this behaviour. If is not the case, hard reset and test. Post results later.

(5) Ys222: I'll look into those issues you mentioned (Internet Connection/Graphic) although I haven't faced it over here.

(6) Booster: Same here. Let me simulate what are your saying ok?

Hmmm. A really weird problem :) Bowling for Burgers (from iGo 8 bundle) quits with "Exception in Endpaint" :eek: Otherwise everything seems to work fine.

On another note: I messed up with Com Manager buttons in order to get the IP Phone and WiFi and now Data and 3G buttons are inactive. Any ideas how to restore the default buttons or make the buttons active again? Tried with Advanced Config but without success :confused:

Hi not sure if i'm doing something wrong, i've unticked this option, but each new link/page i go to in opera goes back to full screen. Do i need to do a soft reset for the settings to stick?

Cheers for the radio rom link. Will also try and load an official 6.1 rom up first. HTC asia haven't released one but will grab one from here.

I have 6.0 factory on again and it's pretty slow :). Just don't know which one of these roms is best -professional was good in that it ended all programs from memory automatically once you exit them, but i like the M2D interface (dont really use photos or music though).

Regarding your issues:

(1). You need to install sdkcerts cab first which is in first post as well then soft reset and then install again.

(2) No idea really. 1.59.42.15 is enough and works on most ROMs here including mine. Hard reset or flash it again.

Could you be more specific in where actually IE is taking longer than expected using Wifi connection? I have a wireless network at home (Draft N), and have no lack of speed. I use Wifi a lot most times with Opera which is sometimes slower than IE and even so is nice. YT has been running ok without lost of connectivity.

Guys, anyone facing this kind of thing? Please report. Appreciate.

2. Internet behavior is strange since it is connect fast, discover a lot of WiFi points but, connecting to youTube or "long" access to the web, cause the connection to be lost. I have tweak all the WiFi setting -no good, also seen this problem in other ROMs

I have exactly the same problem (also sometimes when I trying to make a call the device freezes). The only solution that I found in the forum is upgrading radio to 1.59.42.23.

I had no freeze only silent. but i have upgraded 1.59.42.23, and it seems like work perfect.

HTC_Polaris_Radio_1.59.42.15 seems to be the 'official' radio of 6.1-polaris.

The no volume thing is the main problem for me with upgrading to this rom. just wondering if i should upgrade to the official 6.1 upgrade first, (downloaded it but there's a problem with the file).

I also need TT6 to work, not picking up a signal again yet since i loaded even the standard rom on. iphone is looking a bit better :P

Switched back to 1.1 cause of the video album, that shows the pictures in portrait mode. Everything I mentioned in the last post is valid for 1.2.

1. I have updated the Wireless signal to be at the optimal bar state (originaly it comes on the best power save mode) - so this should be better
2. I have then connected to my Home wireless that has very good signal ( I have other 2 computer connected at all time) - it is connected
3. Connecting through the youTube icone - the application stack then the wireless disconnect as well
4. this problem accure from time to time when I surf the "regulare" internet.
If no one see the probelm as I am - leave it, it might be my device problem or I need to make Hard reset.
by the way - HW compatability issue were seen already with the Radio releases as some of the useres were not be able to use the 64.x.x.x series (as well as myself) due to bad signal - now with the new official Radio ( as well as with your ROM - as I have mantioned before) I have 4 bars at 80% of the time.

-On photo tab, pictures present a black stripe on the right and botom and they are distorted.
-On album they do not occupy the hole screen.
-Videos wont play on album nor on M2d, but I've only seen this work on M-Amine RTM (never on these latest build roms)

It's mattter of course which radio version you use. I strong recommend the latest and official one already on board: 1.59.42.15

OK. Let me understand something...

Before use my ROM, what was on it? Be in mind that in V1.2a, Album application open up in portrait mode not landscape. But with gestures, you can easily rollup a pic from one mode to another as expected.
What actually are you facing? :rolleyes:

When I say pics do not occupy the hole screen, I really mean they open up on portrait mode, thus having black above and below on the rest of the screen.

My radio is 1.59.42.23. witch people have found to not have the freezing problem.

Is it radio related? I guess not, but you never know.

Besides that, I haven't face issues like what you describe below pdgpereira but I considering your valuable feedback cause we deal with different players and devices around. Most of us have different needs and desires. Understand that as well. Anyway, I"ll do my best to solve and bring solutions but no one here including other friend chiefs are free of these annoying and eventually bugs. That's part of the business. :p

I'll start doing a work tonight over 19965. Let's see how device behaves. Maybe we face something later on....

Hey, amigo: if you read my R1 debug thread you will see that we came to the same conclusion: A rom is only as buggy as our preference for apps and functions. I'm actually with your latest rom couse it is fast. I do have that album problem but I'm learning to live with it. Actually, one of your recent roms did not have the portrait problem in my device (funny, you will never please everybody at the same time).

So, thank you for all your hard work. There is no perfect rom. If HTC didn't mind much providing these updated with all the goodies (3d drivers, manilas and such) thy would justify the money people keep giving to them.
Since they don't, I give my appreciation to every cook and app dev in XDA!

Those Blue bars are the Battery indicator. Well, in the latest one that you would have flashed, does not contain those bars. They were there in the earlier version of the KhanX's ROM. So, you will not find them the latest one.

He reused the screen shots of the earlier ROM for those screen since there is not much change except for the battery bars.

I have already updated to 1.2a which is masterpiece !
as for the internet issue - I think I have found the issue and it might concern all - those are two different issue
1. when you change the wifi signal to be optimize instead of battary preformance - all the problems starts. go back to the defult might discover less networks but one you connected - it is stable
2. youTube application behavior is "buggy" once it loose connection - it stuck - as simple as that :-)
3. since release 1.1 the volume bottom is not working at any application - it always pop up the system status tab

I would like to considering installing this ROM as it sounds pretty good, but i would like to have a video dailer can and how the dailer be replaced? I would prefer (even though it seems to be less popular) the ORIGINAL dialer that came with the touch-cruise which for my taste works the best and most practical to use

Great work! IMHO, the most important part to remove from the light versions is all HTC Keyboards and not video calling. Only one I found so far is swtos roms. This way the hardware is not crippled, and the user can install the SIP of his choice without the wasted resources on the heavy HTC keyboards(Plus they can be added with cabs) since I feel that's the main point of a light version.

You were in the right place, in Adv. Config, click on "menu" bottom right, there you will find an entry for Comm Manager under more settings.

1. The SMS/MMS chat is not working for me.when I try to replay (Not New) for SMS I get blank page.
please advice (or this is only me problem? - Since I have made some soft resets, and without luck)

Thank you for helping me out, WIFI icon is enabled now. I have the issue with the Active Sync starting over and over again. I did the tweak with the fake server but it doesn't do the trick. I found this reg but i'm not able to install it.

The tweak is working for me, but after a new sync with my PC the problem is back :-(. Can solve it by tweaking it again, but it seems not to be a durably solution?!

Check better which network conditions you are. Normally WL does not go throught it when face connectivity issues.

I have a strange behavior: randomly (when sliding to programs, when ending a call) the manila 2D closes, sometimes it restars by itself, sometimes only after I Tap here to Launch TouchFlo. Does this happen only to me ?

I have a strange behavior: randomly (when sliding to programs, when ending a call) the manila 2D closes, sometimes it restars by itself, sometimes only after I Tap here to Launch TouchFlo. Does this happen only to me ?


did you activate the Oxios CloseApps App within the toolbox folder? This sounds like how M2D behaves after you have selected that....

Same here. I have tried all the suggestions, that are mentioned in the different threads. Its only working till the next synchronisation. Then I have to do the fake server trick again to avoid permanent running of active sync on the phone.

Any idea left?

I noticed active sync was running a lot of the time when i haven't even connected to the PC.

I'm wondering what is different in Khanx other professional rom (V6) as i liked how it closed all programs from memory after you stop using them. Is this simply the Oxios CloseApps which was enabled by default?

I don't know which rom to install now. Will try 1.2a Pro now with radio 1.59.42.23 or 15 hopefully those work (also want to test Touch-IT m2d v3.6).

if you want to get just the clock from it, just rename the .m2dct file to .zip and you can see all the files inside the m2dct file...

Both of these that bugs as you reported works on mine.

Yes if you hard reset it reloads the ROM as is originally was so by doing so you lose the patches that you previously installed. Only a soft reset may be required after patches.

The purpse of the recomendation of removing the SD card is sometimes not always your sd card will be renamed to Storage Card 2 and therefor may interfere with some apps . Its only a recommendation to avoid other issues...

nope, not S2U (not sure what S2P is). it was like that as soon as i loaded that ROM. It loads even when i have the wi-fi and data connectios turned off.

I am currently using this ROM and I must say that is one of the best I've tested.

I do have 2 problems, or improvements I need...

First I also use S2U2 and I used to use the weather from HTC... with manilla as far as I can see the weather status is store in a diferent place in the registry....
Does anyone has a way around this... I really need S2U2 and I would like to see the weather in it.

Second is a more strange one and it as to do with the OPERA browser, I really like opera as I think it is a lot better then IE. But please try the following site in both IE and opera and you will see what I mean... the site is from a sports newspaper http://m.ojogo.pt
if you guys try it you will see that in IE it opens nice with colours and stuff and in opera it is a mess....
so far I only found one ROM with manilla in which this site works ok in opera... anyone... help ... (the working ROM is udK Syrius R1 - WWE )

Hy, I'd likr to give my feedback about the last release. It's a really good release for the performances, but with the bugs wrotten above I have other things to explain.
In the main screen often happens that an application immediately stop and unload. I.E. tomtom, camera, album.. I have not a systematic way to reproduce that error but often an application goes out in a quarter of a second, and I see on the glass that I must tap to restart the Touch Fluo.
then, is there a way to relaunch automatically the touch fluo in order not to see the black void screen every time an applet crash?
the second.. is non a real problem but a question about the system language.. i've set in regional settings that the system is in italian.. but the navia touch fluo with all of the pages (album, contacts. etc.. ) are all in english
can I change them definitly?
the last question.. If anyone call me.. i see on the screen 2 rectangles.. one green to answer and one red to deny.. but are them touch screen buttons too or only a remind to use the right button on the case?

I've been very busy these days which cut me off from the trenches but I'm aware of these all issues mentioned here including volume control. I'm surprise especially with your description Nir36 that even using that fix, problem remains the same. I ask you to be patient until I release 1.3.

V1.3 will come lighter than 1.2 even in PRO version. M2D will be updated and maybe back to original theme which is not heavy as custom themes. I've been testing and seems ok but I still wanna do more things.;)

Activesync is an old issue from previous build already passed away....unfortunately, it seems the phantom is back!:p Actually if we take this seriously, it's normal. That's the way Microsoft planned. So, no panic. I confess not like myself too.;)

Confess don't know why both browsers behave like that. Be in mind that IE is faster than Opera and most largely used. Most websites are developed considering IE not Opera. Guess this explain why this site works fine under IE.;)

I would like to make some suggestions for the next version. Just some possible apps included. One important issue I had with WM it that after changing timezone, or daylight savings, my Alarms duplicated, so my alarms started after the old time and after the new time also. The only way to fix this was using AlarmFixWM http://blogs.microsoft.co.il/files/folders/tamir/entry55400.aspx. For registry editing PHM Regedit works like a charm. For locking/unlocking I started to use S2U2 wich works great with Manila 2D. I linked it to a hardware button and I find it verry comfortable to use. Just my 2 cents. epimazzo, congratulations again for the best Polaris ROM. Thank you for shareing, for your time and for your effort.

since I have noticed that you are planning new ROM release and since I had experience of Chefs that made dramatic change in there ROM approach (look, behavior, tools etc') - I'd like to keep few issues of my privet view regurding this great ROM:
1. please consider to keep moving forward in the ROM versions and not backwards as other chefs are doing since there is no dought that the newer XIP are getting better preformance and bugs fixes
2. please consider to keep your simple but awesome GUI that is the most impressive and inovative look other then the "regulare" ones at B&B (blue and black)
3. please consider to (continue and) include enhanced applications that will improve phone lack of usability as iContacts and G-Alarm applications that realy improve points that are usless in the original ROM.
looking forward for release 1.3 :-)

I had some more time today so I did some further testing. After closing S2U2 using ilock, i choose at Today's Weather Forecast From "option 6", wich stands for Manilla 2D weather and the weather icon is preasent in S2U2.

Just one impression, when the first version of M2D appeard, I have a feeling that it was more smooth then the present one.. when I pressed on a tab (home, messages.. etc) everything was more fluid, just line on www.htc.com when you choose some option in the top menu. Is it just my impression ?

My activesynk is still alive, activesynk killer didin't completed his mission. Probabilly I did some settings trying to kill it myself. I am getting more and more curious how the 2.0 of this ROM will look like. After trying all I could find in this forum to display the percentage of battery, instead of the actual baterry icon, I found the one attached, which worked like a dream. This could be a program in the next ROM version. After trying several roms, this one is the best/fast/complete ROM of them all. I am amaised how fast my Polaris is and for this chief epimazzo, I say "obrigado". I meant "Thank you", not sure if the translation is right :).

a) I have already seen that the video not being played on HTC Album and Manila was solved on solme of the recently created ROMs isn't that means that a cab file can be created to implement the fix on this ROM also? (someone must have figured out what the problem is)

b) there was a reference about 3G dialer when should it be available? is this only something planned for a future ROM??

After half of hour of testing I am really impressed of this ROM. It feels really FAST even compaired with 1.2a. I can confirm that the activesync issue is gone. At least I don't see it running so... for me it works ok.

The background wallpaper is not installed by default. You should go to Settings\Wallpapers in M2D and change using pics available!:p

I installed V1.3 PRO, and theme is not the same as the picture. Will the theme will be in 1.3a next version or what?

Hmm. Some problems :( TouchFLO restarting. Not a live a die affair but annoying. Resco keyboard Pro not working with this release. Hangs the device randomly (I need cyrillic keyboard support). Hi Theonly1!

TFLO is sometimes restarting. It's true. I'll update to the lastest version just released yesterday and test. Never used Resco Key. I'll try on mine and see how it works.
Lite version is coming later on without any customized Keys..so you can testify yourself using either PCM or Resco.

Beyond TFLO issue, I'm not having any other major problem right now on my device. Not even Album as you mentioned.

Suggest you flash again or hard reset.

Anyone facing similar issues as described? Please share!;)

After one day of playing with this great rom, here are the issues I have:
1. In call history I don't have any icons on the left side of the names/phone numbers, the icons for missed, received, called. Doesn't really bother me, but if anyone knows a fix, please share.
2. When I press the End key in M2D it doesn't jump to main page (the one with the clock). Probabilly a Manilla bug.
3. How can I make in Contacts to se the letters ABCDEFG... on the RIGHT side, not on top. Would you recomand iContacts instead of the usual Contacts?

I install the battery cab I posted earlier (the one that shows percent in the battery icon) and works like a charm. Someone said that TouchFLO is restarting... to me it isn't, but when I used Oxios CloseApps it did. So, try not to use Oxios and see if it restarts.
By the way, the shortcut to quick enable/disable Wifi came directly into my heart, verry good ideea. As I mentioned before, the best ROM around, my ill Polaris is cured. Thank you master chief.

That's weird. Completely. What happened before this problem arise? You mentioned that stopped working, right? Give details if you installed an apps, added or modified something.

Somehow, you can hard reset and test again.
No issues with camera has been posted.

Yup. Confirm that once you are in the M2D interface, whatever TAB you press endkey, you get back to Home.

1. Not needed. Volume Control is fine on mine together with RA. I just haven't tested many apps regarding security. So, maybe Sdkcerts may be needed in some cases..but I guess you won't get into problems.:p

2. It's Touch Dual 3G Dialer. Original with a Blue Theme.:cool:

two thinks i need assistant with:

1) can some Please Guide through how to ADD the CUBE to this ROM like it is on "shekhar" ROM (what files needed to be downloaded and from where and how to install it to make it work)

2) I very much like the Original video dailer with the smart-dialer ... it is the most convinient and practical dialer for me. Can someone please help guide me on how to install this dialer where do i get the files for it and how do i install it to make it work instead of the current dialer...

1. Only the basic keyboard, no full qwerty.
2. No random access picker in contacts.
3. Youtube.com (not the program) shows no video only multicolor lines when playing in webpage (had this in uDK R2 too).
4. After installing, no program icon in programs list.

This is all I've found from my first play around. Great Rom, nice and fast but I think I'm also getting some minor freeze ups.

1. Install sdkcerts.cab found in first page, reset and install M2D
2. Flash PRO version as you like M2D.

For those are experiencing problems with Random Access, fix will work for sure but it actually not needed.

Go to Contacts\options and then leave both options disable (List view settings);)

There're many ways to get Cube working on your TC. If you search using Noonski IE search engine, it would be easier to find a CAB.;)
If I have one, I upload it for ya...ok..:cool:

For Dialers, same thing. Use Noonski to make your life at XDA easier...;)
Just be carefull when dealing with them...adjusts are frequent.

As expected - since you moved to different XIP base platform my Multilanguge application stopped to work :-( I'll probably will need to stay with the 1.2a release for now
one question - which XIP base did you use since V1.0 up to 1.2a ?

2. Try tweaking M2D by finger pressure through Schaps Adv. Config. and compare. There's no magic over M2D. It eats memory. Use a reclaim memory tool once in a while like Memmaid.

2. Noonski is a mod and IE search engine is a tool he developed like Google engine you use to search. You can find by clikcing on its link directly below his signature. Just find his name and threads and you'll find it.
3. PDM is nice but I particular don't know how to use it. It's found in Udk's ROMs made by Italians.

about the dialer i tried installing several dialers that suppose to be what i am looking for but it seems that remains of the previous dialer are left and they collide what displaying the dialer -- it seems that the touch dialer somehow should be removed before but i have no idea how to do that and mybe i have not find the correct cab for the dialer i seek. i will appreciate your help.

another thing, is there way to change the digital clock to the analog one in the home screen?

I could not find it in the options... I have stoped using the stylus loooong time back. So this QWERTY is a MUST for me.

Edit: I dont have accessories folder in settings for me enable T9 as mentioned in the 1st post.

I'd suggest you keep the original dialer, otherwise you'll have to do many adjusts which I confess being time consuming:p
There's no way to have an analog clock with this theme unless you cover up with a new one which I don't know if it will works correctly.

No EzInput keyboard in V1.4. I decided to removed so everyone could have free movement to install or not. It's up to you all.;)

After some testing reverted back to 1.3. I don't say thet 1.4 is a bad rom, in contrary, it's an great ROM. As I mentioned before the Manillas seemd to have a lag, and indeed in 1.3 it didin't. This is probabilly becouse of the new version of M2D. The issue that I had with icons not visible in Call history is solved now. It seemd that PIMBackup did it when restoring call history, so, I only restored Contacts and now works like a charm.
I had once in a ROM a differend way when the phone ringed, it started to ring and vibrate in the same time, but the vibration only lasted one second. Anyone knows how to achive this ?

P.S. I tried to adjust thredshould for finger and pushing on the Configuration tools and I ended with a hard reset (twice :D) , the touchscreen didin't react when pressing it.

Later edit: still no Call History icons...

In previous roms i simply customized a hardware button for locking the device from accidental operations when stored in pocket or in my bag.When i try to customize a hardware button in this rom i find no options in start/settings/personal/buttons.is there a way to quickly lock the device?thanks!!

You may be right regarding latest M2D performance. I'm trying to track better this such thing...just need more time. If is become true, I'll back to the previous version.
As I said earlier, I hadn't no problem with icons in call history. Can't understand why are you facing that. It seems an isolate problem cause no one had reported being in trouble. Search around Foruns and ask others.
That RING\Vibrate feature is enable by going into phone options under ring tone tab. Search for a ringtone called "ring" and you should get your baby acting like you want!

Be carefull when dealing with finger pressures. If you set to high/very high or extremely high, screen freeze after boot and you have manually change using buttons. Really annoying. So, I'm now searching for a great custom setting that fits well under TC. Meanwhile, I'd suggest you keep the custom as shown in Schaps Adv.Config tool.

Mine is ok. You can't remove ROM files unles using Resco latest version or Total commander. Try what I did:

a. Use Schaps Adv. config and change audio/pictures/video to be read from Storage Card\My Documents\xxxxxx
b. Place all pics in a folder right there. If you don't have this folder structure, create!

It works fine on mine. NP at all. Have you installed something after cold boot? You shouldn't have issues related to Video.:rolleyes:

For better compatibility, you should flash under a XP machine.;)
