The problem you're getting might be solved by re-flashing the radio version, the 1.59.42.15 version may help. I got this problem before and it was only solved when I flash the new radio version.

I had changed XIP two times since V1.0 came out.

V1.0 to 1.2: 20755 (Unknown device)
V1.3 to 1.4: 20757 (BlackStone)

by the why - your 1.4 release is just fantastic comparing to other same relases (20757) from other chefs - from the installation phase and up to the usability stage as well as the preformance - best ROM since 1.1 version :-)))

The problem you're getting might be solved by re-flashing the radio version, the 1.59.42.15 version may help. I got this problem before and it was only solved when I flash the new radio version.

When i push the soft button "phone" and close the keypad; the contact list pops up. What i am personnally missing the option to scroll with my finger or pen. I can only use the center button to go throug my contacts..
Is there a way to change this? It's no big deal, but it more easier to me :D

No matter what i do i can't sync with my exchange 2007 server.

Active Sync (Vista) via usb,
Active Sync (Vista) via BT,
Active Sync via 3G.

each and every time i get the error:

I can't get the srs wow hd working. i installed the cab from the first post and the only result is NO sound. I tried to modify the registry ( HKLM/Driver/Builtin/Wavedev/dll. but this ends in an error if i want to start the srs wow application.
Anyone figuered this out?

Another BUG i found is in the Commmanager. If i press for example Wifi ON than the old text "Turn on Wifi" stays and "Turn off Wifi" overlays it. So it looks blurry.
MAybe i post an screenshot later today.
I had the same error some time ago when i installed a skin for commmanager.

I'm really trying to reproduce such error but my device is always ok. You shouldn't have Contacts doubled. Really weird. Mine shows fine. Not double. Try disabling SIM contacts to show using Schaps Adv. Config, soft reset and see how it works from this way. If is ok, enable it again.

Mine happens in a totally different way. It goes directly to HomeTAB.
That's actually what is expected to happen and how program should behave. Try enable/disable M2D interface from Settings\today, soft reset and see.

Maybe my friend. I'm thinking to keep going with 758 and then upgrade 757 to 758 or 759 or even release one based the lastest official HTC 19974. But performance over 75x has proved be superior...What you guys suggest?

Confess not having tested SRS WOW with this latest projects. So, we can expect programs not behaving as intended. I installed on mine and report later. Meanwhile, try using another version and compare.

Reagarding CommManager, think is an isolate error you are facing coz on mine device is showing fine. However, I'll back to Opal one in the next release. So, it may correctly shows for ya!;)

I know, patience patience. I am awared that everybody's time is precious and during the available free time some great guys do beautifull things for the comunity (yes, epimazzo, I'm talking about you).

So, if somebody tried the new HTC rom please share the impression. As I know HTC we won't have any improvement... Let's just hope I'm wrong.

I did some search about how the phone rings, how it vibrates... I wanted to obtain this kind of ring: vibrate for 1 second and then play ringtone. I found a solution wich seems to work for me, but unfortunatlly I don't remember from which thread was, so credits go to the author.

The way the phone rings is in the registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds\RingTone0\

You could edit the Script key as following:
a - stands for display
r - repeat/replay the script again
c - sets the volume C50, c150, c100
f - means flash .. f1 flash for 1 second and f0 stands for flash continuously
p -means play ringtone
v- vibrate then incorporate with number to state how many seconds it will vibrate example. v3 vibrate for 3seconds or v - for continous
w - stands for wait or pause then specify how many seconds like w3(wait for 3 seconds)

Heres the example
Flash - af1w60f0
Ring - apw3r
Ring Once - ap
Increasing Ring - c50apw3c150r
Vibrate Then Ring - v3w3apw3r
Vibrate - av3w3r
Short Vibrate - av1w3r
Vibrate Long Then Ring - v3w3v3w3apw3r
Vibrate And Ring - av0pw3r
Increasing Ring And Vibrate - c50apv3w3c150r
Fast Vibrate And Flash - af1v1w1f0r
Vibrate and Ring Continously without pausing - av0pr

For me, the final solution was: av1pr : active screen, vibrate 1 second, play ringtone, repeat script.

Just make sure you backup your registry key before doing the test. I've seen that after changing the ringtone from the Phone Options, the reg key resets...

Maybe mentioned but can someone tell me how to get a "normal" behaviour for the "End call"-button?! normally after I open an application pressing "End call" would take me to home-screen (leaving the application in background) but now it disconnects my data connection. Can be a bit annoying since I'm running "direct push" all day long.

It is still not working. As I said: Not a live or die matter anyway. Weird thing is that Album is crashing. It starts, shows some thumbnails and exits. Well, I'm back to Resco Photo Viewer :)

I feel it maybe slower? My problem is with the call starts. When I call my PDA i hear about 2 ringing when my Polaris start any action (ring, flash or vibrate...)

i had the same experiences. Touchflo 2d is slower as in Version 1.3. For example when you slide from the Hometab to Programs it is slow. When my finger is on the "program tab" the tab indicator is on "weather tab" . I hope you can understand what i mean!
I've read in development and hacking about this probelem and someone mentioned it has to do wit the new version of touchflo 2d. maybe you can include the old version or the new elfin version which is announced.
Also S2U2 is very slow! When i'm at home i will make a few screenshots to show you what i mean (also the blurry text in Commmanager).

Yup....you guys may be right about V20. I'm looking at and testing many different ways to access and move between tabs and functions.
I'll wait for V21 announced, test and compare. If is the case, we back to the older one used in V1.3.

V1.5 will have some updates likë:

New M2D customizer

Blackstone drivers
20759 XIP
New 3.18 drivers from latest HTC official release

There will be an exclusive Limited Edition with a new Manilla theme....

and....V1.4 Lite w/ Video Call function is about to be released as well.

As you can't live without Direct Puch technology..neither did I...it may coz ASKiller is pushing AS away from starting. So, check if you have it up. If is all ok..and problems happens only when end key is pressed, I'll check for ya. I haven't used my Direct push service anymore. Nees ask bkeaver to testify.....;)


Maybe mentioned but can someone tell me how to get a "normal" behaviour for the "End call"-button?! normally after I open an application pressing "End call" would take me to home-screen (leaving the application in background) but now it disconnects my data connection. Can be a bit annoying since I'm running "direct push" all day long.

As you can't live without Direct Puch technology..neither did I...it may coz ASKiller is pushing AS away from starting. So, check if you have it up. If is all ok..and problems happens only when end key is pressed, I'll check for ya. I haven't used my Direct push service anymore. Nees ask bkeaver to testify.....;)

Honestly, I and many others personally don't like Cube. So, I'll keep that one out of my projects definitely. Sorry. But you can still have it through a CAB individually, right? Cube is a memory consuming function compared to its benifts. I tried used it many times but can live without. But hey, that's my opinion btw. Hope you understand.;) However, Video Call will be available in both versions (Pro & Lite).

I'd check you router first for networking settings, security, etc.

According to Elias, the developer, ASyncKiller doesn't work in the same way... It kills the ActiveSync entire process when it's in idle state and it's not used from the system...

And...With this ROM Build it shouldn't work...like it happend with last Diamond coocked ROM

For me, because I don't use video call, Opal dialer is great... and is kind of fancy... +1 from me. Is it skinable ? Maybe something with blue like M2D? But HTC Touch Dual doesn't look that bad either.

Thank you for impression about the ddi.dll... I had a bad feeling about it :D Polaris would be an extraordinary device if 2D would be faster (not in manilla but in everything else that involes touching the screen).

I would like to mention that I have tried the SkyFire browser on your rom and works GREAT, flash movies and everything looks exactlly like on my PC.

I keep my device with more than 50% battery load waiting for 1.5 version :D I am sure that the new ROM will be a hit. Thank you for your efforts.

My vote for the Opal dialer.

One note for the next version, please don't include GB-Soft Tweak... it screws up the push function and the end-key. Most can be done with Adv. config anyway. The result is that if you press the end-key the push function looks to be enabled (in com. manager) but it get disabled. Another thing is if you enable the function to close data connection in X minutes the end-key closes connection, a bit annoying since all you want to do is to hide an application.

It does work very well my dear. I am using it on my device. No prob with any new or old build.
Unfortunately the OEM or the cab you have posted on this thread does not send the correct shortcut to \windows\startup.
I bet, you do that correctly and the app shall work like a charm. It is indeed a very good application you have given to the troubled users. ;)

Still got problem with direct-push :/ I managed to prohibit the end-key from disconnecting the data connection but now and then the direct-push looses the heartbeat or something. Everything looks normal on the UI but I don't get new emails.

Direct-push is a most-have for my work so if anyone else experience this please tell. I'll try a hard-reset this weekend and will see what happens.

Anyhow, if possible, please don't change normal behaviour for the end-key for the next version and as said, leave GB-Soft tweak as an option install.

As a note I never had this with previous builds (Touch Navia, M-Amine, UDk)

You guys are really funny! Sniffing all possibilities around and starving for new visual and scents. :p
I'm extremely decided to minimize user complexity before add new things like that. But I confess like myself. I'll plan a Limited Edition with a different M2D theme for sure. But it will be limited. In other words, only one release.

Be in mind that any particular theme, skin or whatever make interface sometimes heavier and also text difficult to understand...I know that thme integrating birds, etc. Will see...not promess...but I'll think it over...:cool:

Getting advantage, 931 is out around the forum. Some cookers including me and friends are already enjoying part of. You guys will have something coming on next days for sure...

Meanwhile, V1.5 is almost done and it comes mixed with 931 and 757 (Blackstone). Just need fix YT which stopped to run and analyse performance little more. Stay tuned!

I'm definitely against the Opal dialer since it does not support video calls.

As a non 3G user - I prefer the 3rd option of the Diamond look Dialer - as it have the best look and ligher preformance.
however if most of the poeple (realy) use the Video call more - so we have no other option :-)
I suggest you will have a vote option - and lets see what are the option.

I use version 1.4 and my radio is 1.59.42.15 and QuickGPS does not complete the download. It got to 100% but then it says connection failed. Could this be because the my documents has been moved to storage card? Anyone has this problem? Is there a registry fix for this?

Weather icons were changed in V1.5, but it should be ok. Homesettings needed be modified to fit new graphics. Mine is perfect as shown on first page. :cool:

I noticed this issue already...explained already. As BT packs are all part of the system, they were ported from Kaiser. It means that I'll have to replace all of them. I'll fix and post later on....sorry for this inconvenience as I also needs BT all the time!:)

Actually, 20757 is really better on my opinion and was officially released on Touch HD devices. Maybe a mix of some drivers, but I havent'seen any such really improvement so far...;)

First of all, my congratiulations for the new ROM. Indeed it requiered a lot of work for you my friend. After playing all day with it I'll make a list of pro's and con's compaired with 1.3 version

+ End key goes to today tab.
+ Slick start button icon ;)

- M2D isn't as smooth as it was in 1.3. I don't know what happend with M2D after 18.18 version. I can't say that this version is slow, it just doesn't scroll between tabs as smooth as the old one.
- The ActiveSync is back... restarting every 5 minutes... verry annoing. Please find a killer for it. Is ActiveSync Killer installed default in this rom or must be installed separatlly?
- Bluetooth not starting (now i've seen you already said you'll do a fix)
- I had to say goodbye to srs wow audio. Probabilly the new OS Build is not suported, it doesn't recognize the dll file.

The only thing not working is the EZinput keyboard. Keeps reporting installation is unsuccesfull.

I tried the suggestion of rogro82 from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2912301&postcount=1 . Maybe it's just me but my device feels faster. At least in S2U2 when I slide it works smooth not as before when it had some freezes.

The hebrew is working fine up to version 1.2a - since then, it start to get into difficulties depand on which application you are using the severity is different
Paragon - stuck the device
Eyron - on some verions even can not install
PDAC - I have never succeded to install since I get the "????" at the installation phase - so for me it even don't start....
Now that the use of the HD ROM is common - it change the total behavior of the phone - for good and for less :-)

The major change had impact over Build now using a pure 20757 from Blackstone device. Although the previous one was 758, it wasn't so pure as this 757. 758 used mixed modules.
You don't need to reset your TC. Just click on any other folder like accessories, step out and new icon is displayed.:p

I'll provide two different versions with 3G included. A Polaris original one with Diamond Skin and a Dual touch skinned. Both images are posted earlier so you can have a look.:cool:

As my friend shekhar already did, I had to get a ride and move mine as well...:D

V1.5 was updated reflecting last bugs and also getting some new system tweaks and 20931 SYS portion totally fresh out.:p Expect some but hope minor unexpected things as we are dealing with a ported Build. But I haven't found any issues so far...
Check First page for further information.

Uploading is on going and my side of the world is down at this moment which means..time to sleep!:cool:
Release will be available during the day.....

Opal Dialer is the first one....if it all ok....others with 3G dialer including Lite will follow...

I'm dealing with just one minor problem related to SIPs. Traditional Keyboard/Letter and Block are all not operational. Load with errors. So, hope I fix sooner on time to release the whole version today....;)

I am considering doing the flashing in this way:

Instructions
Get a MicroSD card that is formatted as Fat32. The card must be formatted as Fat32 otherwise it will not work. It doesn't need to be blank or freshly formatted (but it wont hurt if it is)
Find the ROM image you would like to use, normally named RUU_Signed.nbh, and rename it to "POLAIMG.nbh". Depending on the source of your ROM file, it may not be named RUU_Signed.nbh, but just rename the nbh file you obtained to POLAIMG.nbh
Copy the file POLAIMG.nbh to the root of your microSD card
Plug the card into the phone, then enter boot loader mode by pressing down the Camera button, then using the stylus, press and hold the RESET button at the bottom of the phone. Release both buttons once the bootloader screen appears.
You will first see a tri-color screen then the information on the card. Press power button to start flashing.
After all these are done, press the reset button located at the bottom of the phone to reset the device.
The procedure can be also used to flash Radio ROM's to your device.


What do you think, are there any risks folowing this method ? is anybody else using this method ? I think that flashing from SD card would be verry fast and without any risk. I am really not that confident with Windows XP which could always restart/blue screen/hang... after all is windows :D

+ Added TouchFlo Tweak to improve screen sensibility - this really makes a difference

I have flashed so many ROM's using XP - now when I begin to download - my window turn's pink ! Have been using XP and VISTA for flashing all my roms never had an issue ! So just jump in and do it...

There is a risk in everything whichever way you go - but the probability of sucess if not there unless you try...

III. Open activesync on PDA, create a new sincronization server with fake names, passwords etc. After is done, go to Schedule and set Peak times and Off peak times to Manually, and uncheck Send/receive when I click send.

IE6 simply rules :) I tried it with uDK's R4 ROM...Flash 9 content, flash video, you can even use live betting in sportsbooks :) Can't wait to see in in Navia as it is the ROM that fits best my taste so far :)

The old version of ROM 1.5 could be found until yesterday. Now, the master cooker is preparing a new 1.5 version with fixes and enhancements and new builds, new drivers etc.

Yup..I have seen other complaining about TomTom. Unfortunately, I do not have installed on mine TC. I use Destinator. that's where I can test. I'm adding this functionality as a REG key so you can later disab;e using a RegEditor in case you face issues over TomTom or any other apps. NP by doing this way....
I've been using it and felt little improvement. So, think it's worth to keep.;)

If I disable them and use add only RC1 EzInput Keyboard..it didn't work. If I keep all including default ones, ROM boots but SIPs doesn't work. How's that?:mad:
Guess I'll have to dig little more to understand the vilan or changes made that can be responsible for.
So, ask you more patient...hopefully tomorrow I have a clue!

Did you asked c_shekhar? He seems to use the same build for his ROM and while reading the thread, nobody complained abaut SPIs. Maybe there's something wrong with the 20931 build you have? corrupted or something ? Did you tried it on other polaris than yourself ?

I had a lot of problems with the keyboards when i was trying Navia 1.2 and 1.3 and would have preferred the standard ones were left in. I always use the 'Phone Keypad' on ITJE 3.6 and never have any problems now. perhaps you got a bad base ROM or something as suggested above.

From what i can tell IT's m2d is pretty much the same as Khanx but was having too many issues with the speaker phone volume and keyboard so unfortunately had to choose a different one.

Regarding EzInput, I was testing latest RC1 and seems ok so far. Maybe I'll include it instead the TouchPro from my other friend Itje.

Did you asked c_shekhar? He seems to use the same build for his ROM and while reading the thread, nobody complained abaut SPIs. Maybe there's something wrong with the 20931 build you have? corrupted or something ? Did you tried it on other polaris than yourself ?

I had a lot of problems with the keyboards when i was trying Navia 1.2 and 1.3 and would have preferred the standard ones were left in. I always use the 'Phone Keypad' on ITJE 3.6 and never have any problems now. perhaps you got a bad base ROM or something as suggested above.

From what i can tell IT's m2d is pretty much the same as Khanx but was having too many issues with the speaker phone volume and keyboard so unfortunately had to choose a different one.

Interesting... My favorite dictionatry works perfekt on your ROM v.1.4. but only on that ! I have now v.1.5. but the dictionary crached same like before on 1.0 of 1.1...

I don't know why... (4example: it won't work on the Syrius R4 too... :( )

i understand you are probably working pretty hard on the new release with working SIPs, but for the orginal 1.5, is it hard to fix the bluetooth? is it just a cab fix?
possible to get it?

Guys,
A quick note about latest V1.5 I'm working on....

Default SIPs are not operational at all. Can't find the cause. I'm crazy trying to figure out what is causing them not load correctly. That's the only issue at this moment. Nothing else. But I can't release this way. :(

If I disable them and use add only RC1 EzInput Keyboard..it didn't work. If I keep all including default ones, ROM boots but SIPs doesn't work. How's that?:mad:
Guess I'll have to dig little more to understand the vilan or changes made that can be responsible for.
So, ask you more patient...hopefully tomorrow I have a clue!

Unfortunately isn't easy as seems to be. I'd like to help you guys if it was a simple process. Actually the whole BT modules needs be changed. It means more than 4. It's in ROM. You better wait for the new release that fix it and also will comes with new stuff. ;)

Good news ahead folks......It's all running and full operational over new V1.5!
I finally fixed SIP. Thanks to my always present shekhar for his tip...
I'm still testing some features and funtions and adding stuff...

Unfortunately, it seems a Build problem...we don't why and reasons for that. As a workaround, I'll include this Cleartype in ProgramsTAB as shortcut.;)
