Hi Guys,

There are a lot of tips, tricks and tools for pimping your WM6.1 phone the way you like. Now, here is another one of the latter.

After installation you'll find the tool here: Start -> Settings -> System.

If you like it, great. If not, never mind. It's beta.
So please use it on your own risk. I tested it using the Emulator and my P525 and it worked fine.

Note: When you click on Adjust to Background you have to wait a few seconds since analyzing the background image takes some time.

ok, it has been downloaded almost 50 times and there's no feedback. And no feedback means either its total crap or there's just nothing to say about it. Both are kind of unlikely.

So, are there any comments on that?

Ok, I have an idea what the crashing could have caused: WM6.0. Since there is no Threaded SMS View its kind of sensless trying to set that ;)

how are you developing???

make a try and catch block around all critical functions and give a message with the error message (eg. ex.Message)

Then there is a real error message.

When you post an upgrade, put it always on the first post, so it becames easier to find...

Where the .cab install the .exe on the device? (Already finded, it´s on \windows. But on my Portuguese-BR Windows it doesn´t create an icon on "Start Menu" and neither on "Settings" as suggested "ap0ll0")

Another detail is that on Softkeys, on my right key that is configured to open "PocketCM" on "Settings+" show as there is no program configured.

In principle you're right. In this case it makes no sense to anounce an upgrade/update on the first post when I'm not even sure if it works. So I hope you don't mind that I'm waiting for the confirmation that it works ;)

About the shortcut, needs a soft-reset to show it after the installation. After remove, the icon just went away after a soft-reset too.

Maybe you can put on the cab to soft-reset after installation and remove.

On the Color part, it´s changing the base color while sliding the slider... then it´s pretty slow on this part... what about put a button on each part to confirm the changes and other to reset for what is already saved (before enter the screen of that part).

The right softkey is not showing yet, what entry of the registry are you reading? So I can see on my registry and pass to you...

right soft key fields not populated
some of the right soft key fields are off the bottom of the screen and unaccessible on a 240x240 treo 750
font stuff was funky, tahome was default and good, roman unreadable, bold may have made this worse, but worked I think
color stuff was funky, seemed to change color in rear time, but seemed to lock up the device once

In general for the installation of so called "cab"-files.

- Copy it to your device (via ActiveSync or SD-Card)
- Run it (on your device) using the File Explorer

Its only tested for WM6.1 Professional (meaning the version for Touch-Screen-Phones). As I understand you have a Smartphone (WM6.1 Standard). Maybe I get it working there too.

I've tried removing it by going to the system settings and uing remove programs. It says that the program has been removed and is still in the list of installed programs. It asks if i want to remove it. After clicking yes. Settings+ is still installed is there any other way to uninstall it?

try reinstalling it. it should ask if you want to remove it before installing. then it should remove it and ask were you want to install. hit cancel and it should be removed.

nice & smooth on my Universal... and loved the installation under settings instead of programs.
Just one thing, in the SMS menu is not clever if SMS notification is the "message sent" or the sent report from ooerator, and in case could be nice having both ones in next release. Thanks a lot anyway, it could find space in next cooked ROMs I think.

Just copy the font file segeoui.ttf (or so) to the \Windows\Fonts (or whatever Fonts is translated in your language) folder and you'll find the font in the Font Settings.

Nice little tool for my Font but it can be a great progrsm if the user can change the colour of winodow (like in windows xp) i don't really like to see all that white windows all the time, that will be great ,anyway good one for the text font in my Touch Pro !

I have the Touch Diamond as well and it works fine except for under "Color" I can only change the "base hue." If I try to change anything else it comes up with:

An unexpected error has occurred in Settings+.exe.
Select Quit and then restart this program, or select Details for more information.

If I select Details, it gives me a bunch of System something.... stuff I don't understand and stuff that is way too technical to type. lol.

but otherwise I love the program on the Touch Diamond =)

After install - Soft Reset and is it there, but I can't slide Text Size on Threaded View. Should that slide be able to change the text size? it is gray out as in the picture in first post.

Install and get error of the that Gpx85 gets. Unable to change font due to this error. Also, just for info.....unable to change font with ANY edit program (taskmanager, Advanced Config, PJM Regedit........etc)

Any help would be gratly appreciated since I cannot read some of the fonts without putting reading glasses over my contacts!!??

Trying to run this on my Q9c, doesn't show up in settings. I find the exe in windows folder, but when I try to run it I get an error. But...


I accidentally unchecked "enable cleartype" and tahoma was replaced everywhere, but looking ragged from not having cleartype of course.

Well cleartype certainly seems connected. Consider following scenario:
1) cleartype is unchecked
2) modify system font with settings+.
3) soft reset
4) result: system font replaced, but not everywhere (most notably start menu, but also the labels in the settings applets)
5) now enable cleartype: font replaced everywhere.
6) for test: disable cleartype: start menu tahoma again, enable cleartype again, start menu font is replaced


It also works the other way around, starting with cleartype checked and unchecking it at the end, the font is replaced everywhere, but then you don;t have cleartype anymore.

Congratulations to Samuel Tee excellent program I like a lot but now I have problem HTC Kaiser with WM 6.5 does not work anymore:( why? So I hope to release new version suitable for WM 6.5 is my favorite program.
