Windows Mobile 6.1 Update ROM for Bell HTC Touch Vogue

I installed the new ROM and I seem to have all the functions but the "sliding panel" today screen as seen in all the Windows Mobile 6.1 videos can someone please help?

Is no one else noticing this out of all the people who updated with the Bell ROM? The home screen is still 6.0

Not to sure what you mean. Do you mean the touch flo cube.

If so then install the vista cube or one of the others and make sure you have touch flo installed, thats the only thing i can think of by your description.

Sorry, I meant the today screen, not the touch flo cube and I don't have any mods installed

Do u mean the sliding panel at the bottom at the screen? Like the one u would see on the HTC touch diamond? If so then the program you are looking for is called Manilla 2d.

ah yes....that is a common mis-conception with windows mobile 6.1. what you are refering to is the home screen for windows 6.1 smartphone edition. there is barely anything different between 6.0 and 6.1 except a few minor features and tweaks. sorry bud but if your looking for the eye candy of the MS website you're going to need a different phone.

i have bell's $20 bundle unlimited data, sms, mms(that i cant use) voice mail, calldisplay, and choice of satellite radio or TV/Movie "Clips" to use this you need bells media player app.. so i called bell asking for tha cab or jar file or if it will work/be possible at all to use these options on my touch.. tha tech said i need bells 6.1 ROM and then i can.. i dont think i want to upgrade, but is this true? or anyone kno were i can get the file, my others phones auto install tha app so i cant get tha URL for tha jar/jad file.. is there a CAB? should i upgrade to bells 6.1? iv herd its gives GPS ? threaded sms.. anything else? dont think i want a custom ROM nota fan of m2d etc sorry :)

yep you should definitely upgrade to this, it will give you GPS and threaded sms

also i feel the need to mention that not all custom ROMs have m2d incorporated into them, for example i know that OMJ has a custom 6.1 rom without m2d

and after you install the custom ROM (if you do) then you can use DCD's carrier cab to get all the bell specific apps

Took a bit of searching but here ya go...

Just copy the .exe into your windows directory, then right click it and select send shortcuts to programs.

You should then be able toput it on your M2D launcher tab.

P.S. dcd's carrier cabs are used when flashing a generic ROMvfor carrier customizations. It does not include Bell apps such as music player / store.

thanks alot.. dont have a Computer, may up to 6.1 someday but for now im ok with stock WM6.. thanks for tha file, but this is tha music store.. thats preinstaled in WM 6 on tha Touch.. :)

Ahhhh,

My mistake, I thought you upgraded to NFSFAN's 1.28 and noticed music store missing. Bell TV and Radio are there, and the rep is correct, that was part of the official 6.1 update.

When you can I highly recommend it, the upgrade adds evdo-rev a which helps when streaming tv or music. Go to an official Bell store, tell them you don't have a computer and they should be willing to flash your phone (to the official update) for you.

At least that way you can d/l google maps with your phone and enjoy GPS at the same time!!
