Are there any known problems with the OTP v7.5 HTC home rom? I am giving my friend my Wing and he isn't familiar with the phone and how to fix problems and things like that.

none that i saw well using it.. it is a great rom!! i really really liked that one alot!! it was going to be my main one for my text wing.. but :( it doesnt have manilla but its beautiful and perfect for normal operations.. its really and seriously a very good rom!!!!!!!

The beauty of the internet (which includes this forum) many people forget is that no one owns it. Its for everyone and everyone has the sames rights on it as the next guy. Not that I don't understand their point because you were a little long winded but perfect english, grammer or sentence structure although helps, isn't a prerequisite for anyone to express their opinion or for requesting assistance. My motto is .. don't judge or you'll be judged yourself. :rolleyes: Anyway..hopefully you will get help with your rom issues.. that is the bottom line here.

I'm having minor issues with touchflo.. Its kinda weird.. Every time i go into a different app touchflo turns off and requires me to tap to start.. IDK what happened or if its sequence for program usage is to turn off for faster app running?? I have soft reset to see if problems presisted and they did sadly.. I am using the 7.6.. Its a great rom and is very stable.. Just don't know if i am the only other having this minor issue.. No biggy to me but a "just wondering ?"

So ok.. I've flashed the new 7.6 lite rom.. um.. but it doesn't have the manilla 2d theme :(. So heres my potentially noob question.. can I install manilla 2d? And if so.. is there a cab for it somewhere? Can someone here be nice enough to point me in the right direction?

OTP7.5HTC has the 'low incoming call ringer volume bug'

Ya fo sho on that.. Well im doing good.. I got storage=20 even and program=18 on with tf2d working.. So idk.. The other roms were doing great!! This one kinda went wacky on me.. Im just gonna real dl and see if it was just slightly corrupted or ne thing.. Like i said no biggy.. Just another small thing..
You dont know what normal operating mb is for tf2d to be 100% functional by chance??

I appreciate the help. I dont know if you're directing "read, read, read" to me.. and forgive me if you're not, but frankly I personally dont have the time or patience to sort thru 277 pages of a thread or a word search of those pages to find the answer to what I'm looking for. It just doesnt make sense when I could just simply ask if anyone happens to know the answer to my question or at least see if they can narrow my search. Thats the beauty and benefit of sharing info.. saving time and effort. :)

I generally have my phone set to vibrate and ring, so the low rigtone issue isn't hurting me much, but I am experiencing it as well. Has phonecanvas been completely ruled out as the source of the problem? I've been trying to keep up on all of these developments, but this thread is getting crazy.

ok i think i have figured out why its going on the fritz! it seems that rltoday(landscape) is messing up touchflo.. well with me ne ways.. every time i go from landscape after a text, i stay in the message screen.. so when i slide my keyboard closed it freezes and locks.. i think this is due to touchflo restarting again.. if you notice when you just go to landscape and then go back it restarts touchflo.. thus i think its lagging everything up and also keeps touchflo constantly restarting.. easy fix thou.. i just close out messaging and then go to portrait..

Just a question/problem:
When I connect my PDA with my PC I wanted to start an rss-reader and update automaticallly... worked with my standard roms perfect, but with your roms there comes a connection window first, so the RSS readers can't find a internetconnection and get an error.
Is there a advantage in this connection window? Smaller or something like this?
Or does anyone know an rssreader who is able to handle this?

My wing was stolen last night but some one I know, but really can not do anything about.

This gives me a good reason to save up for the G1....:cool:

I will finish this version but will need the help of folks that are HARD-SPL since I do not want to risk cooking a rom without testing the flash first and possibly bricking your phone.

I'm going to strip down a new build today in hopes of fixing the low volume issue and will upload it as a beta v7.7, if your HARD-SPL and don't mind testing please contact me via PM.

I will create a new post call v7.7 since this one is way too big.

A crack head person...But the good thing is if I ever find some one using my phone I will know its mine since it has my personal rom with my name in the build..

As for the G1, I still have to save for it so, might take some time.. No money in the budget for a new phone rite now.

I'm having to go back to my companies crackberry... Life does suck with the wing gone but it sucks even more using a crackberry...lol

that really sucks eggs. i have two of those by marriage, and everytime we visit i lock/hide all valuables. i wish i could help with the testing, but i have a real busy week ahead. so if you get the G1, i guess we all hsve to huh? i didnt think the OS was windows mobile. good luck chief, i'll be reading along.

This may not help you ttran, but I go to the flea markets and often find wings and other good phones at decent prices simply because someone was a noob and damaged the software on their phone and didn't know how to reflash. The place I buy them from doesn't give refunds but does give store credits so it is risky and I'm not saying the software issue is always common.. but lets just say.. I bought a practically brand new Dash for 100 bucks because of bad software.. which I later sold and bought my wing for 130 bucks which was in mint condition but was sold because of software issues as well. Doesn't hurt to look.. you never know what you find. Either way.. sorry to hear about your wing and I hope you get it back. I live in Florida now but I grew up and spent most of my life in NYC and I'm also an ex Marine. So between my temperment and where I come from, brother in law or not.. if I can prove he stole it, hes catchin a royal ass whoopin for stealing my stuff. But then again.. that may be why I'm separated and single now..so don't follow me (lol). :eek:

I've tried this thing about 4 times exactly step by step and it doesn't seem to work. It the part where it says the screen will go white after about 75%, mines does but it then goes gray and gets stuck until I soft reset it and I never get to complete the 3rd step. Also, I just got this phone today off of ebay and I can't seem to install ANY of the .cab files. This is the first htc I bought that wasn't already "unlocked" so I'm SURE that has something to do with it, but where in the world do I start? lol PLEASE help even if it's just link that I have to read again or something.
