Actually Josh, after putting v11 2g lite into a day of "real" business use, I found that after one call with the bluetooth headset, all sound is lost till a reboot. No more sound from the phone or headset, but it says there is a stereo headset connected.

I thought it might have been the btfix.cab, so I did a hard reset and didn't install the btfix. and it still lost sound after 1 call.

I had to whip out the laptop and flash an old rom I had with me, gotta have bluetooth while out driving all day (I'm a repairman).

Man, it's a bummer, cause it really seemed good! so close!

It's weird, did it with both of my bt headsets, Nokia BH-200 and my Plantronics Discovery 665.

It appears that it was trying to do A2DP, when it should have just been a normal headset?

hi there i have been running into an issue with the V11 manilla. after pairing the 2nd BT device in the devices tab i don't see the add new device text and never saw the devices already paired to edit the services.

i am pairing an ht820 and gps i blue, i tried it with the gps first and headset first and it always ends up with the blank devices tab

to further the diagnose, i still can pair with other device but the other device has to be searching for the htc. htc can't discover anymore

i dont have the time to read the whole thread, so this is what i found. V.11 manila2d

1. the internet connects automatically, i disconect it and it connect again on its own

2. it wont get my emails, with other manila roms worked fine, dont know if im missing something.

3. tried to install the black diamond theme, and it stayed the same

4. i cant scroll with touchflo, allways have to use the scrolling bars

5. when i press the sleep button the music stops



this is not an issue, but is there a way to control the volume of the music when using the music plug in?

I just have a question... when I go to the today screen it has windows default as the theme. When I try to add another theme it does not do anything. Is there a way where I can change the theme color? I am able to use M2D to change the touchflo theme but not the task bar and bottom bar theme. Help?

2.- About e-mail i have other issue with this but this one... mmmm no im not even tought i can select betwen MMS... OUTLOOK mail (where i think is your problem) and Hotmail via MSN live app. is xtrange :o

3.- The diamond theme dont change the manila skin.... it change the OS theme like highlights... upper and down bars... some other colors and... the today picture... i think it cames with flat bars in black and highlights in green.

4.- Install Josh Ftouchflo cab from my signature picture "My HTC SKYDRIVE!" download itand install it... recomended place as excluded the Manila 2D.

5.- The Audio Managaer don't have volume control!!!!???? I know and josh too jejeje waiting for the fix.... remember that Opal volume control did the trick but Josh delete it and now the audiomanager dont have volume control..... maybe installing Other version not the manila 2d version...

THIS ROM IS THA BEST ROM HANDS DOWN!

I have used others and I had many issues. This rom is virtually flawless.

On thing I wanted to states is why add the opera browser, and youtubeplayer ...the version on this rom was out dated and did not work due to the cookie issue. I had to install the latest youtubeplayer version and it works. It is a waste of space because things get updated all the time. Same with Opera, when I click on the internet and it opens opera it closes right away. I installed Opera 9.5 beta and have no issues. Now I have to adjust the regestry to point to the new browser. I have already did this for the youtubeplayer. The other issue is now that I have pointed them to the new player I don't know what files to delete to remove the old player. If you goto remove programs the old opera and youtubeplayer are not listed.

Aside from that I have had NO issues with this ROM. Wi-Fi works, Active Sync works, TouchFlo works awesome, dialer and keyboards are great.. overall super flawless.

Good Job Joshua. When I get a job I will definitely donate.

It won't work on a touch and you must quickly learn that flashing a ROM from any other device other then specifically meant for yours will brick it.

correct thats the one!! it does not include radio so you don't have to worry. it just overwrites your current rom. after flashing the striped one then flash new rom!! and it should work fantastic

I just found something is wrong here, PIE suddenly decided to stop working. I dont remember changing any settings and what not.

I connect to wifi or data connection through media net when i use PIE it just says the address is not valid. check the address and try again. It doesnt matter which website i put in...it keeps saying that. while other programs like skyfire, opera mini, weather, pretty much antying else that uses interenet connection works. Just PIE that doesnt.

Do you know why is this? I dont really use PIE that much, but i just thought id post anyway if anybody else were to run to the same problem and only uses PIE. Thanks.

Just to confirm I had the same BT problems with v11 2G lite as I had with the sapphire rom. Once I had paired my A2DP headset then the ability to add any other devices was gone and the device became unstable.

Any chance of using s2p as the default music player or at the very minimum have volume controls? When I use the default Manilla Audio program I cannot control the volume with the roller. There are also no on-screen volume controls.

MMmmm xtrange I use this sometime http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2721289&postcount=1739 is beatyfull and simple... just rename the .zip file extension to ---- .m2dct (it maybe reads the.zip im not sure) and copy it to the Theme folder in the M2DC folder app in program files... the M2dc can recognize it and lets you change it without problems.

Start text is a hex edit, i checked with Evirus and he couldn't remember were to hex edit to fix that. i'm still searching on it.

Yeah, after I load M2D v11, there's no quick task mgr in the top right.

I must also say that the manilla2d is still very beta. it also has two themes Jessica designed for us loaded in the windows directory you can load into M2d customizer.

Thanks dude, Green text is controlled by theme, use different theme, and pumpkin is file in windows folder called welcomehead.gif i believe.

Awesome! I dumped the V11 rom in an attempt to add it in myself, got it up and running for the most part. The "people" tab hangs at Loading... I'll play with it more tomorrow. I have the elfin dump if you don't have it already; found it in the m2d thread.

I'm sitting here with three 8525's that I have on loan and thought I'd check out three different ROMs - your V11 Beta 1 Manila 2D, PhamQuang's Manila 2D, and Starbase64's TouchFlo2D. I also tried your V12 Sapphire. Out of all four, I like your V11 Manila the best. It was definitely the fastest TouchFlo, PhamQuang was close, and the fully loaded Starbase was the slowest. There were however some good things with the others that I thought if you included in V11 would make it a bit better.

2. Your Sapphire splash screen is awesome. If you could include that in your V11 build, you would make my daughter very happy. But just the splash screen, not the wallpaper.

3. Can you make the Start Menu larger? The other two ROMS have a large Start Menu with the most recent programs as large icons across the top of the menu. This is much easier for finger use.

4. Replace your dialer with HTC Smart Dialing. This has a Video and Talk button on the dial pad. Very convenient.

5. Starbase's Comm Manager has nice colored on/off switch icons. This makes it much easier to tell whether something is on or off. However not at the expense of losing Direct Push.

6. Add a few more ring tones?

7. Your folder icons under Programs are a bit light and hard to tell what they are. The other two ROMs have very colorful and clear icons.

8. Add the HTC Task Manager v 2.1. It's a nice alternative to WkTask and seems easier to use with the drop down in the upper right corner.

9. Add Voice Speed Dial. I prefer Microsoft Voice Command but I hear this does not work well on the 8525?

10. Add Greatbal's M2D App Launcher. Starbase has this and it looks kinda neat.

That's about it. I know that if you think that #8-10 might bloat it a bit, I can always find the cab files and load them myself but would be nice to have it all packaged up.

Well, I must say you've done a fantastic jobs with your ROMs. I have a Titan and an Apache plus a 8525. I use PPC Kitchen for the Titan and Apache and have started to download your kitchen but don't quite have the time right now to get stuck into it. It looks a bit more complicated than the nice GUI PPC Kitchen. But I'll probably give it a go after Christmas when the weather gets a bit more sloppy.

Opera (and also Youtube app) has some problems running due to memory issues. I guess other than buying a new phone we are stuck....personally I stick to Opera Mini for browsing, much much faster, even though it lacks features.

I tried both Manilla2D v8 and v11, and had to take'em off despite the fact that they were really fast and I liked them (mostly v8... v11 is too crowded and colourful)

I had two major issues.


Could not sync anything other than notes... It would just keep syncing forever and not really transmitting anything.
Could not get the letters like 'è' to work. Normally I would just press "dot"+"SPACE" after a normal letter.


While the latter might be solved in some way that I don't know, the first is absolutely blocking and I couldn't use it like that.

Tried another rom and the sync worked at the first attempt.

Do you think it can be fixed?

I'm sitting here with three 8525's that I have on loan and thought I'd check out three different ROMs - your V11 Beta 1 Manila 2D, PhamQuang's Manila 2D, and Starbase64's TouchFlo2D. I also tried your V12 Sapphire. Out of all four, I like your V11 Manila the best. It was definitely the fastest TouchFlo, PhamQuang was close, and the fully loaded Starbase was the slowest. There were however some good things with the others that I thought if you included in V11 would make it a bit better.

I am currently working on all those issues, and even greatbal himself sent me a PM telling me the same about his launcher :) I'm hoping on my next one to have some wintery, christmas'y theme's going on also :)
To get video dialing download my 3g version. and the voice dial i left out cuz actually allot of people preferr so.

Does the weather on your ROM (V8B2) allow me to add cities not on the list? I'm in St. Louis, MO. Many smaller cities are on the list but not mine. Otherwise would you consider using a different weather program in future versions? Possibly one that will pull the weather from a loaded zip code?

Yes. It always seems to "auto close" on the first click. Hit it again and it should stay open.

I'm sorry man, never noticed that and it's been a while since i made this rom, is there any options in advanced config to unhide sim contacts. try that then look for the option

Flash the at&t stripped rom between every custom rom, and it should fix that issue.

It looks like you haven't installed hardspl, maybe try the shipped rom (instead of the stripped. That should get you up and running.

Install hardspl, that will make it easier to unbrick when things like this happen.

Read through the wiki, and the stickies here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=355).

Hopefully that will get you going in the right direction.

I have this ROM previously on my device, everythings work well except that:
1. Internet Explorer always automatically closed by itself
2. When I slide my keyboard, the screen is rotated in landscape but suddenly it return to portrait by itself.

Other than those two problems I have no issue.
Still good M2D built one:cool:
