This is a known bug, turn on advanced network connectivity.

Testing that now sir,
First impressions are, responsivness seems improved. Sceen rotation is pretty snappy, less than one sec.
i'll report in on this later this eve when i'm done testing and upload for everyone.

The Omni Driver is a D3D driver, I dont think it does anything for 2D stuff, I tried it on my Hermes, CRC's 12.11.

The D3D stuff worked better before I installed the drivers..

Ill try again now.

Edit: they wont even run with the drivers.. chuck up loads of errors.. Run without, just.. slowly, The Hermes is old..

I load the up driver cab into CRC 12.11 on my Hermes. Screen rotation do get faster;poof and it's rotated! S2P album art is smoother without noticable lags. The driver do make some difference.

I have posted about 3 times... and flashed and tested the roms.. this driver does nothing..

D3D is direct 3D, so, whatever it does, wont help with the WM UI or, with anything that doesn't use D3D.

Only really useful on the Kaiser where they don't have a working (well.. didnt) one of there own..

Well installed it and loaded all the cabs I normally use and I must say this rom is quite fast, no reset at all. No errors popping up in any normal use that I do. Only thing I can't figure out is how to get my computer to see it again.... its vista and uses the wmdc, have tried checking and unchecking the "enable advanced network functionality" and still nothing either way. Any advice there?

Well installed it and loaded all the cabs I normally use and I must say this rom is quite fast, no reset at all. No errors popping up in any normal use that I do. Only thing I can't figure out is how to get my computer to see it again.... its vista and uses the wmdc, have tried checking and unchecking the "enable advanced network functionality" and still nothing either way. Any advice there?

turn off advanced setting
open active sync - menu - connections - uncheck - check - synchronize all pc using this connection - open 'USB choice - OK

vista - reboot

V5 will bee all 20748. Sorry it took so long, i've been busy with a sick daughter and also testing 20748. I think i ironed out all the bugs though.. I'll upload tonight!!

yeah the registry are this time different from old builds but the xip is fast like hell :D i'm using it 20748xip 19212sys and its really sweet fast . Keep the hard work m8 i'm resting with english rom for now :D till the next build to port hehe.

Agree dude, new xip is really fast. but if you replace certain modules in sys 20748 you can use it, it is very quick also. just requires some trimming and lots of trial and error in my case! :):cool:

Wow i'm sorry to hear that. I've been using V5 since yesterday with no probs and have flashed it many time testing it.. Can you please flash OEM stock rom first then flash mine.. That has been known to fix Hard reset issues.
Hmm I never tested the pin function i don't use it.. I'll test that and fix it in beta2

First: Splash screen is from AT&T :)
Second: PIN screen is still with no numbers.

Now restoring my settings and programs and will report what appened.

Ohh your talking the pin from the sim lock.. I didn't test that i was thinking the windows lock function.. that one works fine.. from what i've seen.. hmm thats still really odd. Thanks yea let me know what happens man.

edit1: Wow yea the sim phone lock function pad is missing. Wow don't know how that happened.. Other than that i can't find anything wrong.. Hmm I'll have to fix that.
Go into start, settings, phone, and the security tab, uncheck requiire pin and it will get you past that.. Use the built in windows one for now..

Edit2: I think i know what's causing this, I'll see if i can fix tonight if i have time. Sorry and thanks for finding that little bug man, I would have never seen that.

You just need the OS and ext rom, no radio needed. So yes, flash that rom, then this one.

The theory is that flashing a OEM rom gives the memory space a spring clean, thus stopping the hard resets.

They where non BS roms, this is a BS rom, tis safer to do it.

After 24 hours, no more hard reset! After flash an "official" ROM, then upgrade the HardSPL and Radio, and finally flash your V5 ROM .... no more hard reset !!! Sorry for think that the problem was with your ROM! :(

Love your ROM. Pretty FAST, STABLE and lots of memory! Just only two little bugs:

- Battery icon is incorrect when charging battery. WIth USB cable plugged, the icon always stay red and shows 1%. ALWAYS 1%! When the battery is totally charged, the icon stay at 1%. Unplugging the USB, the icon change correctly to 100% and white.

Honestly I would have never seen those bugs as i don't use the battery icon, and also i think i know what caused the caller issue, rare as it is..

I use flashlight myself man and i've installed via device update and worked fine for me in V5..
Yes advanced config from device update installs a new icon to the start menu and doesn't remove the old one, I'll fix that in beta2 i noticed that but it never bugged me cuz i rearraing all my start menu anyway.

Hmm on the srs audio i've never used it and i'll do some testing to isolate the issue and fix it..That really is odd.

I'm gonna get a beta2 out tonight hopefully with advanced config fixed and also the bugs on post2 fixed.. Thanks and i'll look into the srs thing man! :)

Edit, Tested flashlight and works on the ptt hold button, on the other button it turns on then off.. i believe this is because of the ptt hold function..pretty sure it turns off as it's designed to hold the button down for flashlight function.

Having problems with active sync..In settings /system you have USB to PC option and also in settings/connections you have USB to PC. If you check the box in USB to PC advanced functionality in settings/connections, and leave the one in settings /Connections alone, it will sync, but if you open both, it will not sync.
Also the time zone is messed up:( when syncing sets my appointments ahead 1 hour.
Also, after syncing with PC, active sync will not stop:(

Also, weather wouldnt update (could be media net proxy), You should include opera maybe from anryls rom so that the internet in manila works, i cab'd it to test and it worked fine. I found some applications were closing randomly as well. Also, from the touch flo ribbon along the bottom i could not select outlook or hotmail. it was only showing me mms (installed arcsoft)

I typed that wrong, i use ftouchflo but it wasnt installed. I was just stating that the email icon in messaging wouldnt change accounts. it will only show mms on one "tab" and sms on the other; cant get it to show outlook.

Josh, you did a fantastic job with this ROM..., fast, Nice interface with the Manila 2D, after 3 hours of normal use, 2mb of RAM:( Reboot,
I am going to wait for the AT&T Fuze or buy a used Kaiser, The Wizard and the Hermes just suck for using memory....it sure would be nice to be able to run these programs without battery and memory problems.

I already tried 2 versions and nothing seems to change...
MMS are not available or even configurable...

Josh, you did a fantastic job with this ROM..., fast, Nice interface with the Manila 2D, after 3 hours of normal use, 2mb of RAM:( Reboot,
I am going to wait for the AT&T Fuze or buy a used Kaiser, The Wizard and the Hermes just suck for using memory....it sure would be nice to be able to run these programs without battery and memory problems.

Touchflow 2D is fantastic for our older devices, Bit of a memory hog, but im sure that will slowly get better.

I dont think hes ever pushed out a rom that's not a "beta" but it seems everything but MMS works perfectly :)

anyone having problems with apps staying open on this build?
when i switch from say, Internet explorer to media player it will always close and it happens not just with these two.

If i remember correctly, when you have htc task manager installed (i don't, as far as i am aware off) it has an auto close feature if the ram gets too low, could there be something like that going on? and if so what should i do to disable it?

Hopefully tonight or tomorrow, i'm gonna enlist some advise from master cook abusalza on fixing my active sync and mms issues. I want it better ! :) Appreciate your support man, i'm learning so next version will be better.

I tried running this rom the other day but I can't get it to connect to activsynch in either windows xp pro or vista. Also on a fresh install with nothing loaded it takes a good 10sec to load the /windows directory and in pda corner v24 even after I load all my software its 3 seconds or less.

I just installed V5 Beta2. Looks reeeeeealy nice! great job!!!
First little thing I found is that if you select Programs from the Today screen and then click All programs it doesn't do anything.
I can access it from the start menu.

My observations:-

I have also notice the above issue related to HTC Task manager... I tried installing 3 different versions of HTC task manager but none on them is working on this ROM. Yes i have been having this same issue, I'm gonna test this with interface with WKtask and see if it runs a little better. Also gonna try the newer update for manilla2d and test with packaged xbutton app. I will be testing tonight when i get home from work so i'll give you guys a update tomorrow on how it's running, or sooner:eek:

Thanks dude, Appreciate the feedback!! honestly i think my source for 20748 replaced the media player, I don't know why cuz i didn't touch it. Or it could be part of the oem i'm using causing this, I'll check it out.. Umm working on the windows dir for the next release. Hope to be speedier. Also setaccoustic param is installed on this and does run on first boot. I did extract from DVH build so it runs very fast. :)

Yes sir, hope to have that fixed next version of manilla 2d released soon.. I think the launch browser works with opera 9.5

It REALLY doesn't like any other today plugins like SPB weather and tends to HR if you have any today plugins installed... I think that may have something to do with 2d touchflow though... A pain as S2U2 doesn't support the touchflow weather app...

Yea, I honestly haven't tried adding any other today plugins because touchflo takes up the whole screen ;) Umm HR's usually mean you need to flash oem rom then reflash my rom to fix.
The S2U2 app I love and yea i'm kinda bummed it doesn't support it yet... Hope will in future. Working on the battery icon issue. Sorry.

No prob dude! I have been testing WKtask today and it runs great along with manilla. instead of xbutton which we all use.. I'll be testing the xbutton packaged with the updated manilla 2d later tonight after work.

Another thing I notices is, I have a softbank hermes, and each time I flash an english rom I have to set the japanese layout and I'm good to go, but this time the symbols popup when I click the function key and the corresponding combination never appear. Is there something else I have to set or install?

well, heres one problem i discovered, you got your colored icons for the connection icons (edge,hsdpa) from abuszala (pdacorner roms) if im correct?

well he released a cab file to restore them to default, and to my suprise when installed on this rom, it totally removes the start, connection, signal, sound and close buttons.

maybe you could help on this, as i and other people would appreciate to have the choice of icons. thanks.

if you can conect to the web with wifi (my case) or active sync, lunch Device Update and with a couple of clicks you can install office, and lots of other applicactions. Haven't tried S2U2 yet on this rom but it's also ready to install from the device update.

I am getting completely confused now. Would someone care to sort of the confusion by just listing one after another all ROMS and their release dates so we know what is the latest?
What is the difference between Almosted naked and naked ROM? total free space etc? the other conbinations of Abusalza and co add to my confustion.

I understand that fully naked is V7 and the almost naked is V5b1?

Yes sorry,
V6 is latest almost naked series, As numbers go up in as they progress.
When you see abusalza flavor it means his icons in the rom.
Almost naked series has about 27 meg ram, and 78 meg storage
Custom naked edition is a barebones rom.
I'm sorry again, I'll clean the first page more tomorrow, I'm very tired :)

hey, im getting a problem with the new v6, when i install live search it throws up an error on launch,
missingmethodexception
file or assembly name
microsoft.windowsmobile.status,

or one of its dependencies was not found.
at
microsoft.search.mobile.speech.waveinput.soundmess ege.windows.wndproc(message&msg)
i think its having some problems reading a file it needs for speech recognition.
now i tried a reinstall after a reflash and still the same problem.
it worked perfectly on v5 so i believe its something different in this rom
otherwise love the rom, nice fast and except for this, seams stable
can also confirm the same problem with v7 custom

I'm having a problem with the touchscreen keyboard... the bottom 1 1/2 lines of characters are covered by the bottom bar. Painful if you need a space....:p

got some problems with the V6 (manilla):
Weather Tab
- can not add weatherlocation (no reaction)
Settings Tab
- can not change wallpaper
- can not change sounds
- aboutbutton also not working
Internet Tab
- both links are not working
i dont know if the mapsearch should work or not, but it dose not search any thing.

one positive thing .. active sync working and stable

maybe some one know how to fix the manilla problems?

Will do man, I had grabbed their most recent version when cooked into the rom, I guess they have a new one today!! You can just install over this version if your inclined! :)

Sorry on manilla build guess the version i used has bugs, i'll update today.. or you can go to link above and install over existing version.. device lock.. is that start, settings, phone, security tab.. or start, settings, lock

Please note that Manilla2 is beta and constantly being updated and some things don't work because you dont have it installed. For example the internet tab doesn't do anything because you don't have opera installed.

I think you should also COOK a version of zocster without M2D cooked in. It uses much RAM in our devices (hermes)

No V7 is same base as V6 but very barebones rom!! This is new bug from new build 20753 and i'm looking for fix in next release.

It's really a fast and stable rom but I found two issues I think you will consider it as bugs !
1- when you choose another Keyboard (SIP) the newer and the previous keyboard do not show up fully i,e. half of it is hidden ??? ( Sorry for Posting this common bug )
2- Charging Icon is not correct ..... it's the 1% red battery Icon...
Any fixes
