[Q] Greyed connection Icon

What is the difference between the two icon? see attached.

I had this when i bought my new sim card for the phone, it means the connection is there but your contract doesnt support it or your service provider has not enabled the feature yet. Give them a call and tell them to configure your account for 3g / hsdpa use then it should go back to the normal black icon. :)

Actualy, I have it enabled. This is the reason sometime it is greyed and sometimes it is not. both screenshots are from phone.

Same here with the 3G icon.
3G is enabled and supported by provider/contract.

Sometimes it's greyed, sometimes not. But in both cases a connection is possible.

But in the pictures, the greyed out one is E and the black is G. Hence GPRS works fine by your contract setup, but EDGE isnt configured. Unless the E icon sometimes goes black in which case, i dont know...:confused:
