Hello all,

I have got the T-Mobile version of the diamond (MDA Compact IV).
Sometime when my phone received a call and I press the on screen answer button, the other person can hear me speak but I cannot hear them at all. There are also times when I call someone and they can hear me but I cant hear them.

I have checked the volume control and it is on max. The only way to resolved this I find is to reset the phone. At the moment I seem to be doing a soft reset every other day and it is getting a bit annoying.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem and send it to Eurotwice for repair. It's there for 10 days and more problems has been found over there. Suddenly the screen and buttons don't function anymore. Eurotwice is still testing and there is no solution yet for this problem.

I have the same problem.
I had to make 4 or 5 softresets a day.
Yesterday I used the new O2-Rom, now it´s fine.

I will check it now for some days. If the errors comes back, I will send it back to O2.

I have found a temp fix for this problem. When this problem occur during a call, press the middle button (circle button) which activate the screen, then press the speaker icon and you will be able to hear the person on the line and be able to continue the conversation.

Bare in mind, the moment you switch off the speaker, you cant hear the other person again  It is very annoying that you have to use speaker in order to get the phone working. But at least you can use your phone meanwhile..

I really hope someone could come up with a permanent fix to this problem.

Hi all,

I have the same problem.

Is there a solution for this problem with an update of the rom ? I have the last official update from HTC (which updates the radio, etc.).

I have this problem many times on a day. My solution by the momment is to do a soft-reset...

Is there any solution updating to other ROM ?

Thanks.

I don't think you have a choice. I tried changing radios and roms still having the same problem. It sucks ball that this problem is happening on another set of my diamond. The 1st set got repaired and its been functioning well for the past 4 months or so..
