Hello lam8ard

EDIT this does not work for Vodafone branded phones it seems

First of all you need to download PHM RegeDit Here (http://rapidshare.com/files/127176194/regedit.Mrln_ARM.CAB.html) And also download a HTC splash screen Here (http://diamond.hanky.dk/newwall.gif).

Now put the Newwall.gif into your phones windows folder (via activesync)

Now install PHM RegeDit and open

then Goto

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > HTC > HTCAnimation > and edit the Startupgif to \Windows\newwall.gif and save and reboot the phone (softreset)

then it should change to the newwall.gif and everything should be fine

Hope it solves your problem, feel free to ask if you cant figure it out
