I just loaded Tomtom6 on my TC. I just wanted to try and use the one free trial city download from htc before I purchase the US Maps to see if I like it.
It only would let me download the Minneapolis cab... It didn't give me any other options??
These trial/ one city cabs are not protected, so if anyone needs Minneapolis I have it.
Does anyone have the Chicago Cab so I can try it??
thanks guys....

Mate sharing of this type of file is prohibited on XDA, if you want it buy it, I use tomtom and it is the best of all the satnavs

It's not really geared for USA customers, at least the pre-installed version isn't. Trying to upgrade via the website doesn't appear to be an option. I gave up and just went with CoPilot Live 7, which I already had...

I had similar problem with TomTom that came with HTC - although it says "you can download free map of your choice", they "made choice" instead of me (by giving maps that I don't need). Was thinking about buying couple of full maps (Western Europe, Eastern Europe) after testing tomtom with map of single city, but ... not really interested in tomtom anymore.

I have used TomTom 6 and 7 as well as GarminXT in the US. When I had both TomTom and Garmin installed, I would find my self using Garmin instead of the TomTom the majority of the time. You can pick GarminXT up on ebay for about $50.00; it comes preloaded on a protected SD card (2GB). If you want it on a disc (to load onto a larger SD card of your choice), it will cost you about 80-110 dollars. It picks up satellites pretty fast and is quite accurate/reliable. Some links to Garmin for screenshots, purchase, and downloads. Also, this gives the same coverage as City Maps / NT 2009 I believe, which covers the entire US.
