Storage card Problem

Hello friends
I have a Gene in which i am using a 2 GB mini-MMC card.
Once in 2-3 days my gene loses the data on the card and shows some strange charecters with 1 GB or 2 GB size.Usually multiple folders with such strange characters are found.When i soft reset the card is shown normally.But after 2-3 months even softreset does not work.Then i have to format my card and start from scratch.3 times i have done hard reset but without any effect.I am not using any cracked software.I removed all third party software but still the same thing continues.
So i need your advice as
1. I cannot send the phone to repair as the nearest service center is 1000 km away.
2. I am not able to try another card as my mini-mmc is stuck inside the Gene( Damn the person who conceived this idea of putting the storage card space in an inaccesible position )
Please my dear friends. Any tidbit of idea can save my phone

I read somewhere that partitioning will resolve the issue but I just couldn't get to do it. There are guides everywhere to tweak the registry to fool the OS into thinking that your storage card is not a removable drive and then partitioning it, but I just can't get to do it. It shows me a drive with only 52mb space!?!

Anyways, this is a gene issue and we need to get it resolved. If anyone out there knows anything about it, please help.

Now you can create partition on your storage card by your device

After successfully experimenting with somany options atlast i have found the answer for the card corruption.
IT WAS DUE TO MERRIAM WEBSTER( SLOVOED ) DICTIONARY WHICH I HAVE USED FREQUENTLY-BOTH UNABRIDGED&MEDICAL.
I have removed them 1 week back and nomore card corruption since then.
So there is an issue with slovoed and WM5 ppc.
If anyother members having similar problem try this option.
