Is there a program around, something that would run in the background, that would allow me to set vibrate, silent or loud according to presets I've determined? What I mean is something like having it set to loud for my morning wake up alarm but at a certain time change to vibrate or silent for work?
I looked a phoneAlarm and think it's very cool but I'm looking for something that runs in that background.
Does a program like this exist? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Actually Phonealarm will do this for you in the background. What you need to search for in the phonealarm forums is a "Hidden Skin" that the creater (Penguin) made.
So in actual, phonealarm is running invisibly. And of course you have got to have enabled phonealarm in Settings -> Today for this to work. Im currently using it and its great! Ive even set the option to make a sound when it switches profile so i know exactly when it changes from Normal to headset, Vibrate, Cradle etc. Just to get some feedback that it has changed.
You should give phonealarm another go :)
