I know that you hardcore coders and creators of these awesome works are constantly at it tweaking and improving ROM's. But are any of you guys ever just "satisfied" with a rom? Saying "yep, this is the one for me" a quick paypal tip and off you go.
I am still quite a newbie and just did my first flash a couple days ago. I believe it was vp3g. Overall pretty pleased, and by the time I add some of the apps that I like, and add some personal touches I am pretty content. Of course until I see the interface on Schap's, especially the upcoming things he's got going. That will likely be what I switch to if I do. My key desires are speed, UI, and mostly finger friendly. Thought I wanted iPhone-like but after trying things like ifonz I am not so sure. VERY nice program and look dont get me wrong. Just a bit cumbersome at times. Not to mention a program always running.
Just curious. Because if my phone had came with this rom, and its vastly improved speed I would probably have never looked into this stuff. But I am very glad I did as this stuff is awesome and I tip my hats to you all.

I understand your sentiment as some of us guys flash a ROM a week. I myself try to stick with one until another fixes some misgivings I have or has a feature that I want. I am going to try and stay with my present ROM as long as I can but you do get a bug for these things.

It's a pain in the arse really as just when I've configured things the way I want out comes a tempting new ROM, with new build and promises of improved stability and greater speed... :)

Cool. This is kind of my thoughts as well. It does take some time to get it to your liking. And then.....

I am about to say yes, there is, and that would be this latest ROM from the chef abusalza.

The thing is you always want to have the latest MS OS build, what ever device these clever chefs have ported. One build is guaranteed to be better than the next, and it is I feel a MS testing ground. And there are chefs that are out there now are amazing. A number has left us, and new ones are coming on board.

What a bunch of geeks, but yeah ... I am going to rest my flashing for a while now.

I get urges to flash, but mostly after testing most I go back to CRC's latest.

They just work best for me!

(hoping for a new dev build soon)

That's insane! So you do it stricktly for testing purposes? There is no way to tell if it's "the one" for you in such a time frame. Unless it's just horrible, like I said it takes time to get accustomed to it and make some changes.
I almost feel bad saying that I am going to change my starter rom (vp3G) just due to a few quirks I have found and things I have read and seen on the others that I am interested in.

Man. You go through ROM's like I go through beer, but without the hangover. Though I must say, I have never turned into a brick from drinking too much.

i know the feeling of never being satisfied, as of now i went through atleast 15-25 roms in 8 hours because i didnt like the last one. No lie, from 12:35am to 7:00AM.. i didnt have much of a problem with it because its a learning curve to see what each rom has to offer and that i backed up all my data :D
