WiFi woes

Ive got a drive with music videos and cabs for windows mobile on my dvd dulicator pc (XP SP2) , im trying to make these files accessable to my XDA Stellar via wifi .

Ive been looking for tutorals for the last few days the ones ive found are horribly outdated and incompatible with WM6 . But they seem to revolve aound activesync a shared folder and an adhoc connection .

Has anyone managed to do something like this with WM6 ?

I use Resco Explorer 2008, and you can map shared network folders and drives without using activesync, just by being connected to the network by wifi. Press 'map drive', and it searches all local computers for shared folders. Resco isn't free, but it has a 7-day trial you can test.
