I've seen freezes like this too, where the device appears to completely hang in place and must be soft reset. It's happened to me after a few snoozes. It'll work fine for a few rounds, but sometimes will lock up. This is on a Sprint Touch Pro for me.
I've got the same thing on my Blackstone and also long pauses between sound - bit stuttery. Does not feel as stable as pre 0.9.5 versions for some reason.

I'd like to propose a fundamental (but easy) change.
Probably switchable (for people that want the current style).
Snooze should be EASY and stop should be DIFFICULT right?
So why make someone solve the math or the labyrinth and THEN ask for snooze or stop?
SNOOZE should be clickable at all times and STOP only after solving the math or labyrinth.
In fact the original "small stop, large snooze" should come up first and if someone clicks snooze to snooze, but if someone clicks the small stop, to make him then solve math or labyrinth.
Am I making any sense?
PS. I have clicked math and labyrinth, but only math comes up. Unlucky? Bug? I have set something wrong?

Hi Community,
I have a Problem with this nice app.
I dont see with Alarm is active in my Today-Plugin. Normaly there have to be a small bell on the right side (i marked it with a red ellipse) and i dont see it. but i can disable the alarm with tapping on the position where it have to be! can anybody help me out?
straight up, this is the best, well thought of, and nicely implemented alarm, and its with me all the time! It's really great... just one problem
Ive been wanting to set it up for my Work Alarm
(i.e Mon, Tue, Wed, Th, Sun) Problem is it wont show up the alarm in TouchFLO3D,
-this is on a Sprint Touch Pro nearly stock, besides the compactframework3.5
is there anyway to have it light the alarm bell on TouchFLO3D(TF3D compatibility checkmarked) as a standard or quick alarm?

This is officially the greatest alarm software ever. 0.9.8.3 fixed the problem. I realized that when I would test the software I would exit the program (making the alarm work), but when I would plug in my phone at night and set the alarm for the morning, I would leave the program open (making the alarm fail).
G-Alarm has given me a new love for my AT&T Tilt. It can finally do everything I will ever need it to do.
Thanks, Ageye!!!

I have a strange issue with G-Alarm called from SSMaPa.
I have changed the TF3D entry both for clock clicking and for alarm clicking (hmmm never seen a difference) and G-Alarm starts TWICE!
Does anybody know what I am doing wrong in SSMaPa? Maybe I should enter one entry of the two in SSMaPa as empty? (I dunno if it allowed)
OF COURSE the problem's root lies elsewhere (ageye)... G-Alarm shouldn't be allowed to start twice anyway! (for example if someone double clicks its icon instead of single click) Can this be fixed?
g-alarm allows only one instance... this is strange! Have you talked to the developer of SSMaPa? Probably he knows the cause
Great program ageye! Very well done.
I have one feature suggestion:
Instead of a confirm alarm off dialog box, how about using the maze/math puzzle instead. Completing the maze/puzzle would confirm you want the alarm off.
Thanks
good idea!
well i'm using v0.9.8.3
and music format is wma.and mp3
please try using music which is located on your device (not storage card)
does it work if you test the alarm?
maybe the shake feature needs a bit of tweaking? Sometimes, when I shake the phone to snooze it, it won't snooze at all. I even shook the phone violently a couple times and it wouldn't snooze. Running on a Raphael, and I put the phone on a flat level surface when I enabled the tilt feature.
also, i notice if I go in to edit a one-time alarm after just opening up the program, even without touching the date screen, it'll automatically change the date of the alarm to the current date if it is set to a later date. After I go back in and change it back to the original later date, it doesn't change back automatically during subsequent edits. ie. only happens after the initial opening of the "edit" option.
but other than those 2 little bugs, great alarm :)
shake feature: have you activated the feature? I find it too sensitive...
@onetime bug: thank you!

thanks a lot expo7 for the compliment :o
I will any way release it for the actual version and adapt it on the new one :D
Any target date for the new version ?
between christmas and new year
First I'd just like to say that G-Alarm is excellent. Best alarm I've ever used. I wish I had started using it earlier.
But I do have a problem with the today plugin.
Im using Spb Pocket Plus, but all over Today plugins I have ever used work perfectly. Ive attached a screenshot to show the problem. Changing the settings to single line in G-Alarm does not help, makes it even less readable (also, changing this option causes the phone to freeze, forcing me to soft reset).
will be fixed in v1.0
Hi,
I tried to search this thread for this bug, so my apologies if its been previously covered. When my alarm went off this morning I unplugged the phone (fuze) and tried to click the snooze. Both app and phone locked. After the reboot the alarm triggered properly.
If its a bug hopefully its something simple to fix.
Most recent version (G) on NATF 2.3..
Thanks!
strange bug, difficult to reproduce. I'll see what I can do
dear all,
I had been using this nice app..on my prophet...to be honest..the best alarm i ever use..
i just bought a new ppc - Samsung Omnia and i found out that G-Alarm cannot be operated anymore.
The app just froze when i try testing the alarm.....and i cannot touch any buttons on the screen....soft reset has to be done...
i understood that some other people with Omnia can enjoy this app...please help...
thanks in advance

@ageye:
yes I have activated the shake feature.
strange thing happened today though. previously, I could shake the phone violently and it wouldn't snooze. Today, I simply picked up the phone (didnt' even shake it yet) and it snoozed (so like u said, sensitive)! Strange how sometimes it's not sensitive, soetimes too sensitive.
@Dai
would math/maze really be necessary to turn off the alarm. Having to confirm it already requires you actually paying attention to the screen to turn it off. Sometimes, you want to turn off the alarm quickly because it might wake up others around you, or ur in the rush.
how about this idea (i'm not sure the difficulty in programming this, I have no idea about it): have the "confirm to close" box appear in a random place each time on the screen (example, at one time, it's in the centre, 2nd time, top left corner, etc.). Thus, you can never get used to where to press OK (and so might turn it off subconsciously to shut off the alarm) or accidentally turn off the alarm when u didn't mean to.

Hi ageye, i use your alarm app since the begining on my trinity without any problem, but now i'm an happy user of thouch HD i have one. Tested on three different rom (WWE and FRE), when i activate the TF3D integration then soft reset all work great ( it appears on my home tab) but the clock is frozen, only the home clock nothing esle. That's a strange problem because if i desactivate the integration and soft reseet, all come back fine. But in every case G-alarm is working great for me. Don't know if it happens to others, search your thread for same bug but haven't found a solution. Thanks for your job and your share.
edit: sorry to fear you before a 1.0 release, finally on a blackstone french forum where i thread we have found that's it could be a 24/12 hour bug from regional settings, it happen with some apps modifying the home tab. Not G-alarm fault, it only launch an existant bug. Soory for having post but take me one week with a frozen clock and hundrerd of thread reading before finding that. Thanks to G-team.

When I soft reset my Sprint Mogul (PPC6800) wm6.1, G-Alarm's Today plugin does not load on the Today screen. I have to go to settings and disable and re-enable it to get to come up again. also I am positive that G-Alarm started twice - I talked in SSMaPa thread but since the author doesn't update it any more, no luck - if you ask me it is not possible that this is SSMaPa's fault, as G-Alarm itself shouldn't allow multiple instances even if a buggy program calls it 100 times (and if you say it doesn't allow multiple instances then it is a bug because it does)
keep up the good work :)

hi ageye,
I am having problem with the alarm.
My Diamond's ROM is dutty's 3.6b, when I first installed G-Alarm it worked fine.
After a couple of days, for instance today, I set the alarm to be at 4AM, but at 4AM prompt, the alarm didn't go off. I launched G-Alarm and it told me that it's still 1:15:00 til the next alarm.............
I have checked the fix windows alarm bug in the settings, just so you know...
I have also performed hard reset and clean installation, same thing....
This not only happened on this version of the ROM, but it also happened in previous versions. It will first work correctly for a while, then the time starts off wrong..
Please help me in resolving this problem. Thanks.

Nice app!
It seems to work perfectly fine on my Kaiser.
However, maybe my only gripe, and it seems I only saw it mentioned once in early development, so maybe it's due to something else: Some actions are really slow!
In the UI it's mostly when either creating a new standard alarm or modifying one, after clicking the device will be "busy" for approx 8 seconds! before the dialog appears. This doesn't happen with a quick alarm. Does someone else notice that?

this is because you installed G-Alarm over a previous version. The installer automatically updates the registry to disable the today plugin. When you softreset your device the today plugin is disabled...
I fixed this in 1.0 but unfortunatelly I can't touch the current installer that's why you will face this bug again when you will install 1.0 (as soon as it's done)

@SSMaPa: Windows doesn't allow multiple instances of a program.
Obviously it does when G-Alarm is launched with SSMaPa - I already have implemented a check if G-Alarm is already running. Hopefully this works with SSMaPa (I don't have TF3D -> I can't test it)

G-Alarm is slow. This is because of the many options (even without loading a skin G-Alarm needs about 3.5 seconds to load the form to add an alarm) and because of the skins. I could improve the loading times with v1.0 by storing the alarms in the registry (instead of a xml file) and cleaning my code but it still needs about 5 seconds when you want to create a standard alarm.
I have done everything! The compact framework and the devices are just too slow...

Marry Christmas!
expo7 and I really gave our very bests (I'm working 5-10 hours daily on G-Alarm) but we can't release v1.0 on the 24th
as a compensation you get some screenshots of the new GUI and how you can customize it...
Here is the default skin:
139593
And here comes the best. Without making a new skin (of course you still can) you can easily adjust the colors, the wallpaper and the transparency of the skin.
(The wallpaper you see now is not made by me. I have found it somewhere in this forum - I hope that it is ok that I use it here)
139594
Now you ask me when I can release v1.0?
I really hope (and think) that I can release it before 2009 :p

BTW something strange happened this morning (and had the side effect of really waking me up... :D):
labyrinth came up but device was very slow to respond - I moved it to the side and waited for 3-4 seconds until the ball moved, then again and again... and at all this time the alarm ringed (in fact especially when playing the wav the device was slow)
I using a small normal wav file (small file from another program) as ringer, nothing too fancy
I just report it now, it could be something with my device, will get back to you if it happens again

Wow.
I have another idea. If the quick alarms are fast, it must be related to the number of options on the standard alarms, right?
What about loading the main page only first, then background load the rest while one's entering the time, as it will take way long enough anyway?
Or load each page when the navigation arrow is clicked? I think waiting 0.5s-1s on each page load would already be better than one LONG wait at the start, especially when all you want to do is change the alarm time and you don't need to access the other pages...

been using 9.8.3 for about a week, so far:
- Experienced 2 device lockups, one overnight and one during the alarm activation period while the device was on standby. Soft reset fixed.
- "Shake to snooze" sensitivity seems extremely high right now, if you so much as touch the device, the alarm snoozes. I think I preferred the previous versions' sensitivity where you had to kind of violently shake it. Maybe make this settable?

this is because you installed G-Alarm over a previous version. The installer automatically updates the registry to disable the today plugin. When you softreset your device the today plugin is disabled...
I fixed this in 1.0 but unfortunatelly I can't touch the current installer that's why you will face this bug again when you will install 1.0 (as soon as it's done)
Hi ageye:
I think you misunderstood my original quote. You are right about the G-Alarm's Today screen plugin not showing up when I switch to a newer version of G-Alarm. However, the problem that I was talking about was for doing usual soft resets when wm6 needs it because of other reasons (i.e., not b/c of switching to a new version of G-Alarm):
When I soft reset or turn on my Sprint Mogul (PPC6800) wm6.1, G-Alarm's Today plugin does not load on the Today screen, regardless of whether I installed a new version or not. I have to go to settings and disable and re-enable it to get to come up again. Additionally, the Today plugin is slower to load than other items on the Today screen when I am going to different programs and coming back to the Today screen. I am using G-Alarm v0.9.8.3. Thank you

I have another idea. If the quick alarms are fast, it must be related to the number of options on the standard alarms, right?
What about loading the main page only first, then background load the rest while one's entering the time, as it will take way long enough anyway?
Or load each page when the navigation arrow is clicked? I think waiting 0.5s-1s on each page load would already be better than one LONG wait at the start, especially when all you want to do is change the alarm time and you don't need to access the other pages...
it works!!
1s for loading the form to add/edit an alarm... absolutely brilliant! works like a charm.
I don't know why I haven't thought of this earlier
thank you so much for having this idea!!!

Cool, happy I could contribute a bit after only about 10 minutes of use :D
Which of the 2 suggestions did you implement? load on arrow click?
Proves that I have done everything! means nothing when you've had your head for too long in a project, you forget the simple things ;)
...and G-Alarm did pass its first test, it woke me up fine this morning :D
I was using Klaxon before, but it was slow as hell too, no more support, and had a few bugs (including a very annoying one where the snooze wouldn't work if the phone was turned on after the snooze button was clicked and the device turned off by itself...)

The alarm works great for me but is it just me or does the buttons on the main screen look stretched on HTC Touch HD (WVGA, 480x800, portrait, v0.9.8.3)?
Also, I love skin support and the author of the "Diamond Mat" skin, it makes G-Alarm more at home on the HTC. :)

I have an Omnia, use Ifonz and S2U2 (both latest version). I installed G-alarm (latest version) 2 days ago.
Yesterday I set the alarm for 9am this morning. I woke up at 10.15, the alarm did not sound. As soon as I pushed a button on the phone to make it light up, I saw the S2U2 screen (with the notification of the set alarm at 9am) and G-alarm started to 'work' ...
Why did it not work at 9am ? This is very anoying, cause I like the software but would like to be able to depend on it ...
Any help ?
Edit : problem solved. Safe mode in S2U2 was 'on', I turned it off yesterday and this morning it worked.

That might be a stupid question, but... Is it possible to have galarm sound the alarm loud, even while using headphones? I use the headset really often and as the alarm can be heard then only through the headphones, I am afraid that I could miss some of the reminders. Is there a way to change it?

Hello all,
I know, I know... hit the "search" button; but honestly, this forum is 155 pages, and I didn't seem to find the specific problem I am having.
I installed this a month or so ago, and it worked perfectly. Woke me up, snoozed properly, all settings seemed to be very well done.
Unfortunately, my problem is NOW that G-Alarm will auto snooze by itself, sometimes after one second, sometimes after 3 seconds or so... not a continuous "set" time frame.
I actually noticed the problem when I got Pocket Shield, the locking/unlocking software. However, I've tried G-Alarm with PS on AND off, and it doesn't seem to make a difference.... the alarm will begin, and then just on its own, auto-snooze.
I've tried every configuration known with the settings, and it still won't work correctly. I've even disabled the PS "lock", with the screen still on, but it just won't stop auto-snoozing.
Is this something that others have experienced?
I'm almost certain that it has something to do with Pocket Shield. The PS program is not a necessity for me, and I may try out S2U2 to see if there's any compatibility issues.
Just a thought. Thanks for your consideration... wonderful program (especially that I'd pick it... freeware.... over PS, a paid program).
Thanks,

First of all, great programm ! Thanks :) I think I will donate if the tool is going to work flawlessly (I just got my new phone).
Anyway... about the manilla integration:
- It shows the correct alarm time on the manilla main screen.
- But when I click the manilla alarm, the old windows alarm screen will show up, and not the G-Alarm.
Is there a way to integrate G-Alarm better into Manilla ? So I will just have to click the alarm on the manilla screen to start G-Alarm ?
Thanks!
PS: Oh, and I agree... speeding up the performance of this tool would be... cool ;)

In order to change links in Manila you'll need a tool called ssmapa. You can find it in this forum. The problem is that links are hardcoded, so charging them requires patching manila.exe, and I doubt that adding an option like this will or should be implemented in G-Alarm.

Well, I can confirm that it's not the other software that I thought was the problem. I uninstalled PocketShield, and it's still doing the same weird "autosnooze" pattern. Sometimes after 1 second, sometimes 2 or 3, but not anything constant.
BTW, Alltel Touch Pro... no cooked rom, just some advanced config and diamond config (program) stuff, but nothing else.

Hi there!
ageye, what a great app!
This already woke me up once, but I'm also using a second alarm, external to the PocketPC, just in case!
The new version 1 looks AMAZING! I am so waiting for this :D
EDIT: the Portuguese translation needs some work (long translations lead to fractioned sentences). Is it possible to "auto-size" text to fit a given area (shrink to fit)?
Keep it up and happy new year :)

last Friday it was very slow in the g-sensor "response" to the labyrinth, today it was totally ignoring my movements (and during this time it was ringing normally) - I had to soft reset before my wife would kill me
no problems in weekend (where I don't use labyrinth or math)

Why is storing the alarms in the registry an improvement???
It is definitely a step back from using XML.
It was suggested as a potential way to speed up the app that was dreadfully slow when adding/editing a standard alarm. It might have been faster to access the registry than to read/write/parse XML files. But another way was finally found, and used from what I could just see in V1.0 :) Loading each screen on first access is definitely better :)
A little bug in V1.0:
It seems the Today plugin doesn't refresh correctly. Each time I change something in GAlarm it won't refresh until I deactivate / reactivate it in the Today settings.
Would it be possible to have multiple alarms to appear in the Today plugin, so one can just deactivate one and activate another without even starting the program for example?

can you try if it refreshes when you open an app (like the file explorer) and close it again? it should then redraw itself. but I think I have to do the today plugin again...

Keep up the GREAT work guys.
Just some comments after testing it for a few minutes (1.0).
0) VERY well polished program. Congratulations.
1) It crashed after I added a full folder of MP3 (about 130 files). You say this is fixed in 1.0.1 so I'll test again.
2) Cursor up/down does move your alarm selection, very nice. But "action" button should also edit the alarm, left could (just an idea) be the same as clicking delete (with "are you sure" dialog of course) and right could be a test play of the alarm (or maybe right to edit and action to test).
3) Why not test play of the alarm sound(s) even when creating the alarm? Now we have to finish the whole alarm setup and THEN click to "test" the sound (from main screen). Counter intuitive.
4) Alarm screen just closed on me (now that I am writing this). Is this a feature? (close after a time out)
5) Please add unit of measure in all the fields that unit of measure is missing. (for example in the fourth alarm setting tab, "max. time" is in what... seconds? minutes?)
6) What is "number of quiz"?
7) To be honest a "dead space" period is missing. For very short alarm sounds (like 1-2 second wav), just defining the repeats is not enough, you also need to define some "empty" seconds between repeats. Think about it.
8) Again for very short alarms, 120 maximum repeats is not enough. BTW even this 120 number is not enforced (which is a bug). The program allows you to enter for example 200 and you think you entered 200, but only 120 is stored (or even a random number? please test). Of course using 0 (repeat forever) is a good solution, but if you want to be perfect... :)
9) One of the first times I tested an alarm, the math quiz popped up, but it did not allow me to click anything... I had to soft reset. No I don't use any screen locking mechanism.
10) After you edit let say alarm #2 and finish editing, the main screen selection should be this alarm, now it just reverts to the first alarm.
11) I still believe, scrapping XML for registry is a step back. Consider this a personal opinion.
(and yes I beta test software for many devs)
Keep up! :)
So when 1.1 coming? Tomorrow? :)

Hi
Thank you for your hard work on this application, I just switched from Klaxon 2 days ago. So today I was very excited to find you have released v1.0. Congratulations!
I really like the new clean ui, but unfortunately I will have to stick with v0.9.8.3 because of the power saving options. I find it most useful to be able to keep the screen visible during the snooze periods, to keep track of both the time, and remaining snooze time.
I would also appreciate some larger numbers for both the time and snooze time on the alarm screen, for easy reading with your eyes half closed in the morning...
Also I would love to have the remaining snooze time displayed as mm:ss as I use a 15min. snooze period, and get a little overwhelmed by 789 sec. to next alarm…
So, the main issue for me is the power saving options (or just the possibility to keep the screen turned on during snooze period), to get this implemented in v1.0.x would definitely be worth a donation for me :)

G-Alarm 1.01, HTC Vogue.
I created a quick alarm, and then i pressed some buttons to test the alarm, eventually the alarm did go off, but it was partially obscured by the Galarm UI and more in the background than foreground. I then managed to click the snooze button i think (hard to tell what I was clicking) and then the phone would not stop vibrating (had to soft reset).
Also, I happened to notice that the time was displayed as 19:40AM in one of the screens of GA.

Hi ageye,
It bugs for me (HTC Touch HD) when I add a new alarm :
NullReferenceException
and a big list :
Galarm.AlarmWriter.SetAlReg()
Galarm.AlarmWriter.AddAlarm()
When I installed it, it lost all my previous alarms from the previous build.
Hope this helps you !
Regards.
released v1.0.2
please try this - it should work now! sorry for the bug...
Tomorrow? :)
2) I can implement this
3) I will see
4) have you set a timeout?
5) you're right
6) how many mazes/calculations you have to do
7) difficult to implemnt... i will see what i can do
8) repeat does not mean that the sound file is repeated 120 times but you can press 120 times the snooze button -> i think 120 is enough
9) grkmasldjasdlkfjsadf
10) should be possible
11) no, xml sucks for my purpose ;-)
I think I can add an option to let the screen turned on during snooze period
@789 sec. you right
G-Alarm 1.01, HTC Vogue.
Also, I happened to notice that the time was displayed as 19:40AM in one of the screens of GA.
can you please try to reproduce this? I don't know what you have done.
I have the same problem. I just installed the newest version 1.0.1 and I can't set the alarm properly. It works when I try to add a quick alarm but if I try to edit the quick alarm or I try to add standard alarm with my options and I press the OK button it stops and gives the exception written above...

Nice work ageye!!
Just made you another small donation for the new version.
It looks really nice!
I have only one problem, I can't add an alarm.
After going trough all options, when I click finish, it gives me an error.
Currently I'm reinstalling G-Alarm, then I'll try again.
I'll post the errror message if it's not solved after a reinstall.

I was using version 1.01, will try the new version now.
[EDIT] Great, version 1.02 seems to work!!

8) still this is very buggy... for example when I had big numbers, the system didn't store 0 (one alarm showed 122 and the other 48!), until I set it to 100... Maybe it happened only when I entered a number using the keyboard (not the buttons on screen)... Can you make some tests? Also... erm are you sure this is what this setting does? So how do small samples replay? Automatically forever? Because when I had this number small (10 for example), I didn't hear the wav at all (because it seemed to time out before the 20 seconds the volume was getting louder)... something is strange in this functionality.
9) I agree. :(

well, I thought this is better... the calculation tasks are just like a messagebox with 4 buttons. I think this is enough, isn't it?
You can't be seriously saying this was done on purpose, not just in error!
Of course it's not enough. Beside the fact that giving myself quizes to close programs is something I consider, uhm, stupid (don't want to offend anyone, but look, I have enough of this intrusive stuff all over, so I disable quizzes, mazes and all other toys in G-Alarm right after installing), this is also incredibly annoying because the only reason for me to want the confirmation is to avoid accidental closing. Now, sometimes I just forget to turn alarm off in advance, and I just want to close it without waking up! Like tomorrow, for example, which is a Friday and a day off. Last thing I want to do when alarm sounds in error is solving quizzes!

Hi,
first of all, thanks for this great soft! Very nice and usefull (even if I don't use alarm too much).
I've just seen that in v1, settings are saved in registry. Is it possible to have one parameter to use registry or file?
Because I really prefer having a file for settings, in that case when I backup my phone, I save all the directory and the settings (I know I can export the registry, but it's more difficult and not easy to do).
Thanks in advance.

ageye, expo7, this is close to perfection
Now from my experience over 1.0.2:
0) still no input from HTC Touch Pro's keyboard (sorry if you knew this already);
1) everytime you open an alarm's settings, the music playlist's order is reversed;
2) because now the alarm is also a media player (great idea!), I believe there should be a button to avoid stopping the alarm (while g-alarm is waiting for us to answer the quiz) and go back to the player (and YES, I like the quiz for stopping the alarm :P maybe the solution would be implementing BOTH options?);
3) still on the player... i suggest the volume could be controlled with a touch-sensitive slider - up and down buttons are small and change the volume too slowly in my opinion;
4) does G-Alarm wake up my device if it's turned off (i mean really turned off)? If so, in what conditions (configuration options)? "Show on TF3D / Manila2D and others"?
5) I suggest you provide some info on post #1 about the new alarm settings' location, for backup/restore purposes - a user just posted a similar suggestion;
6) is there a way to silently install it (i.e. if there are already registry settings in place)?
7) I agree that there should be a new thread for v1
Last but not least, thank you again and keep up the good work :)

@ageye - sorry for asking it thrice. In all honesty i was not able to read the last 2 replies. Your development thread is increasing really fast that i cannot keep track on my message.
Yes the Skin or UI is a bit stretched.. it's ok but some text were cut off in the old version (0.9.8.3 and below) so some parts were hard to read..
in v1.. the skin is better and there are less cut off and misalignments... so i was asking for a better UI or more polished skin for square devices.. sorry for being annoying and asking for a perfect skin.
thanks for this great alarm software.. best working alarm i have tried..

Hi ageye,
I just found a new bug which wasn't there in earlier versions.
I just did a hardreset and then restored my applications, settings, etc.
One thing I always have to do after I have done this is start G-Alarm to fix the
"Windows alarm bug" or similar.
Now the message appears that I should reset my device and right after this the application crashes.
GAlarm.exe
NullReferenceException
bei
System.Drawing.Graphics.DrawImage(Image image, Rectangle destRect, ...)
Sorry I cann not copy/type the complete error atm.
By the way, what is this alarm bug and what changes have to be done to get rid of it.
I really want to include this in my restore procedure, so I will not have to do it by starting G-Alarm.
Than you in advance.

I like maths as brainwork to awake. The thing is .. these quizzes are so simple that i can solve them while sleeping, which is bad.
So I would be happy about numbers greater than 10 and eventually substractions. Don't know if I am the only one that thinks that way though :)
This is only a suggestion.
IMHO great software! Thanks so much.

2) I don't agree for him (it's his choice though of course) to spend more time on the "MP3 player" part
3) see #2
4) there is nothing that can do that... that is why off is "really off" - common talk from people coming from Nokia etc. ...in WM you can just switch off GSM if you want phone to be off (or airplane mode or use a profile manager like the EXCELENT CommManagerPro)... "really off" is "really off", nothing from software can change that
6) I agree (in fact I open the cab files and do exactly that... but this registry thing removed all portability :()

The new version is working fine on my omnia. Thanks. really nice interface and usability compared to the previous. however the same problem have been there since the previous versions till now. is that when i snooze the alarm, it will cause G-Alarm to hang when the snooze-time is over. For the previous version 0.97, it will freeze the whole phone. for this, it continues working with a error shown.
Hope this problem can be solved. This is a awesome software. keep up your good work! Thanks.

GA 1.0.2, HTC Vogue.
Created a quick alarm
viewed properties of quick alarm
time showed as 21:00 AM
should be no AM there.
Now I see the problem... but I don't know why it happens... can you please go to your regional settings and tell me which time format you are using (like HH:mm:ss tt) and if you have set AM/PM there... (maybe a screenshot of this page would be the best for me to see your settings) -> Use MyMobiler
4) ??? is there a way to make the main screen time out?

4: no, the main screen should only disappear if there is an alarm coming up (like 10-15 seconds before that)
8: manual input: you might be right. I will test it more thoroughly if you are able to input fake numbers...
I don't get the other point. Which setting do you mean? repeat alarm x times -> this option shouldn't close, stop, mute, etc. an alarm even if you have set very short music files. it should close the alarm after x times of pressing snooze...
11: I think the same about the registry but for my puprose it's pretty handy. I don't have to open whole text files or xml files to change one value (e.g. activate/deactivate an alarm)
You can't be seriously saying this was done on purpose, not just in error!

of course this was done on purpose! and please don't say that you have to disable everything after installing G-Alarm. Since v1.0 every "toy" is disabled by default.
I implemented the messageboxes again in v1.0.3
I've just seen that in v1, settings are saved in registry. Is it possible to have one parameter to use registry or file?

5) I suggest you provide some info on post #1 about the new alarm settings' location, for backup/restore purposes - a user just posted a similar suggestion;
6) is there a way to silently install it (i.e. if there are already registry settings in place)?
7) I agree that there should be a new thread for v1
0: I never knew that! I don't have a pocketpc with a keyboard -> I can't test it :-( I don't even know why it doesn't work...
1: Thank you for that! Is fixed with v1.0.3
2: do you mean: if you have set maths/mazes to confirm closing of an alarm you should be able to cancel the math/maze and go back to the alarm screen?
3: it's just soooo much easier and probably more reliable to use buttons :D
4: this is not possible. Compare your device to a computer -> if it's completely shut off no software can bring it back to life...
5: Registry -> HKCU\Software\ageye, there will be a export/import page soon
6: no
7: yes
Yes the Skin or UI is a bit stretched.. it's ok but some text were cut off in the old version (0.9.8.3 and below) so some parts were hard to read..
in v1.. the skin is better and there are less cut off and misalignments... so i was asking for a better UI or more polished skin for square devices.. sorry for being annoying and asking for a perfect skin.
I will try to make a better support for square screens. it's just difficult because it's so hard to get all options on a 240x320 screen so you probably understand that it is much harder to do that on 240x240 screens without stretching it...
I know you have 320x320 but I want to make it work on all square devices and haven't found a good solution yet
Hi ageye,
I just found a new bug which wasn't there in earlier versions.
Than you in advance.
thank you so much for reporting this -> this is pretty severe (noone who didn't have g-alarm already installed could install it)
is fixed with v1.0.3
I like maths as brainwork to awake. The thing is .. these quizzes are so simple that i can solve them while sleeping, which is bad.
So I would be happy about numbers greater than 10 and eventually substractions. Don't know if I am the only one that thinks that way though :)
This is only a suggestion.
the difficulty of the maths task increases after every quiz -> just increase the number of quizzes shown on every snooze and you get soon difficult questions with subtractions, multiplication and division
Great little app.Can you add timers like on spb time?
i use it work where i need to perform an action very hour or 30 mins.
i was not able to set snoose time to 3600 on regular alarms :(
thanks a lot.
use my tool "G-Watch" which is also available on my homepage -> it is more accurate for timing.
with me the new version unfortunately does not function. always reboot. I had to again install everything.
I have Touch HD
can you please tell me more details: is there an error screen? when does it reboot? does it work after a new install? does v1.0.3 work for you?
YOU are my Hero !! Thank you very very very much !
well, I'm the only one in this thread who is allowed to be called "hero"!
Hey agaye,
The newest version isn't working for me(htc Polaris)! Even when i select only one mp3-file the Program crashes! Going back to the working 9.7.3
there is no "gay" in ageye...
-> can you please install v1.0.3 and give me some error details...
I guess sticking to 14 song/alarm works just fine, I had the same error when I narrowed the number of songs to 14 it worked perfectly and personally I think 14 is more than enough for me to wake up.
since v1.0.1 infinite number of songs should work
for this, it continues working with a error shown.
I don't have an Omnia -> can you please post some error details!
