Hello,

I have coded a replacement for dcinobar, which hides the bottom bar on the today screen, letting you use it for your today screen plugins. Unlike dcinobar, nueNoBar works with the latest wm builds (WM6.1 build 20000+). If dcinobar works on your ROM, use that instead, this is really for those new builds dcinobar's method doesn't work on.

edit: updated to 1.3, hopefully fixes more problems some people were having.

okay, I will check why you need to manually start and restart the service as well as phone alarm. most likely, i moved the bar down too low, and phonealarm is checking the position of the bar.

directory is not used, it just installs a single 10kb dll "nueNoBar" to your \windows dir.

i NEED that piece of soft, BUT, i cannot make it started after softreset, service is stopped, i can use task manager 3.1 to start it, but...it is not quite an option i would like to use EVERY SR....

also, it has strange effect on today themes - whole image is upped by 26+x pixels, and i can see upper part of image on the bottom..hm..

service IS stopped after installation... i can start it with task manager 3.1 (NOT HTC SHIT),
but, effect is random, sometimes i have msg, that something is in use and no-go then..sometimes i can start it as i want to...strange.
regardless of what i am doing, service is stopped after soft reset...

Sorry still getting the same issue with HiNavigator been 10 or so px's out of alignment at the top of screen. I get the same issue when I try any other today plugin.

Using an Touch with Vet's 1.51 rom

A a little cheat workaround is putting the 'date' today plugin on and it pushes things down enough.

Been using dcinobar for a while now and like, I am on a 6.1 rom but when I installed your new cab I get a shodow where the bottom bar or outline of the missing bar. So it is back to dcinobar for me because it is working fine.

i played around with this for awhile, what is the size of your stwater gif? If it is less than 320px high (on qvga), this would be what is causing it. Picture is fine with default 320px stwater. let me know if you think this is incorrect behavior.

Very happy to see that you managed to find a way to remove the annoying softkey bar from the today screen.

However I'm facing an issue when using nueNoBar 1.3 with HomeScreen PlusPlus UI 1.06.337: when NoBar is used, the tray icons are not visible anymore (in fact the tray bar is disabled).

I don't know if this is related to nueNoBar or HomeScreen PlusPlus UI. Do you think you can have a look at it and hopefully correct it in version 1.4.

I uninstalled the program was just trying it out and now my soft keys are standard wm 6.1 and can't get WA3 to skin them again, tried reloading the WA3 theme and resetting a bunch of times but nothing.

I took some screen shots showing my issue and attached them here. The first is with NueNoBar, the second is without as a comparison. Seems I'm having the same problem others are with the vertical alignment. I'm not using any today plugins, just standard today screen. with NueNoBar my Date item is moved up off the screen, and the system tray is also moved up by the same amount.

Hi, i've a wm5 based phone, samsung i710. I've installed nueNoBar 1.3 but the service does not run on device, showing the message "could not find file" (i don't know the exactly message in english, because my device is in PT-br).

I confirm the file, nuenobar.dll, is right there in "\Windows" folder and the registry entries are fine too (i used task manager 3.1 to see that). But every time when i try to start the service this message appears. Is there any other configuration shoud I do?

Hey, love the app, but I have a problem now. I used it before on my x51v using Lenny's L11. I reverted back to L07 (its a little more stable). Now nuenobar is not working properly. I'm not sure if its other software I have on it. Is there a registry setting I can change to correct this. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Here's a screen shot of it now.

I didn't explain myself well. It takes away the notification bar but still uses up the space, before it would drop the tray icons down in place of it.

I use WM 6.1 Build 21009.1.6.0 and I had the same problem that the bottom bar was not fully hidden by nueNoBar 1.3. So I decided to write a small app to fix that problem.

Just copy the file nueNoBarFix.exe to any folder on your device and create a shortcut for it in you startup folder.

That's it - the bottom bar is gone!

guys, rotate screen to try to fix your problems with today, if it is not working properly, you cannot make anything - try vjtoggletoday then.
if nuenobar is not working, theres chance that vjtoggletoday should work.

This is what I've done for a while since upgrading to WM 6.1 (not sure what build offhand, probably oldish by now, still using a Tilt).

I have vj's started early on, then a mortscript which does a rotate 90, rotate -90. Otherwise I never had a systray or something, I forget now the exact problem. :)

I'm pondering trying this to see if I can get rid of that rotation as it does slow down startup. It's worth trying I guess. :)

Works, but I really like having the tray, as I use PHM Tray, and several programs I use have Tray icons which I use often. I hope showing the Tray will be an option in the future!

I have the same problem. I am running a wm6.5 ROM and if the application I use has a soft keyboard, then the icon stays at the bottom when I close the application. If I open another application w/out keyboard and then close it, the icon goes away. Kind of annoying, but it gets the job done.

word around for a couple of issues:

1: for those of you who have the latest task manager and can not get htc task manager to exit the applications when you are trying to close it. it is an issue with neunobar and the latest htc taskmanager vers. i tried ver htc task manager 2.1 build 340772 and it works perfect.

2: for those running rltoday under wm 6.5, the soft keyboard icon remain at the bottom whenever you exit an application that has the soft keyboard icon, the softkey icon would remain at the bottom. again, another issue with nuenoboard and wm6.5.

the work around for this is to shift your rltoday screen up about 1-2 pixels . in the skin.xml file, you should have: <today height="587" (587 or less for VGA).
