I have the same problem in Manilla2D I had in previous version... Sometimes the systems hang ups por a second or more...

I like more the anterior ROM.

This don´t have the messages tab and the settings tab.


Also have the same problems:

1 - in today screen the hard keyboard don´t work
2 - all program button dont work
3 - if you select a image to see open the htc album and dont show them
4 - Set Ringtones

And my M2DC wont work, if i select messaging and settings tab, nothing happens!

To me it happens exactly the same. I install, change the tabs, do soft reset, but nothing happens.

I don't think you can change the softkeys with Manilla 2D.

to enable bluetooth receiving, you have to edir the registry.
in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Obex\ you have to change the DWORD entry isEnabled from 0 to 1.
Then it worked for me like in any other rom!

In this rom have the mgs tab and the settings, or the manilla config works, because i can´t get work in previous ROM, i like very much the mgs tab and like to change the background in settings.

Existem alguns erros nas rom anteriores, vê os meus post anteriores. Um deles é quando estamos no ecra principal do today, se abrir-mos o teclado para marcar um numero, nada acontece, temos de abrir sempre o Phone para poder marcar, tb acho necessário a tab das mensagens, pois qd temos uma nova msg, só temos o pequeno icon da barra iniciar como aviso, e para escrever temos de ir dar uma volta...

Pff vê se consegues arranjar, adoro estas Rom, para mim sao as melhores q encontrei e se houvesse em Portugues, entao era do melhor!:D

This Rom will have most problems solved? (bluetooth, searching contacts, and all other problems, that I really do not know exactly because I'm still using the first Manilla 2D version :)

By the way, there are some tabs that most people would like to use, you can include it. You can also include M2DC new version, works very good ;)

i had set also a OBEX Name for the Device with Advanced Config, perhaps this is a additional problem.
And don't forget to pair the devices previously and activate the incoming files in Settings=>Connections=>Beam

Searched on other threads but it seems a reacurring issue. Can anyone discribe with this ROM what happens when they slide open their phone, with a all my old roms I entered the phone application and could start dialing a number. When I slide open the phone now, nothing happens.

Thanks for the great rom- it certainly freed up alot of space for me..
I've been using this rom for the past one day and i realised i cant tap on one message then drag to select a few- this is particular helpful and deleting mass e-mail/sms delivery messages.
Also on the part of the phone function, keying numbers while on the today screen does not bring up the phone application- the only way to go is to use the soft key before dialing.
apart from the above, everythingy's fine and good to go...

yes, i make a clean install. all is working and running smoth. the rom (new one) is a bit faster the the "older" ons. but i can't get the audio manager working. if tryed the fix, the nex fix and the next fix. uninstall with sktools and: nothing. he want start, shows me the buttons and bar but when i click on libary: black, no letters and when i got to weather and back to audio it starts searching!

i gave up and wait for the next fix.

i flashed with your newest manilla 2D version last night. most things look ok but after using for a little while, when i tap on the Start menu, it just freezes there and I can't use the start menu. i can still scroll between tabs but not the start menu.

also, how do i turn off the sounds when tapping on the start menu? i don't like that.

lastly, when you turn off system sounds, it doesn't really go silent. it is actually making sounds but just very quietly.

- Zoom in Full QWERTY when choose spanish layout doesnt display correctly

- In Contacts application when I press R button in FULL QWERTY it turn into "REDIAL MODE"

- There is no Games Shortcut in programs directory.

as I have figured out, the problem is created by the OPAL keyboard. If you would make a version of the rom with the diamond keyboard in stead of the OPAL keyboard (like gullem's rom's) then the problem is fixed. So then evantually we will end up with 2 rom versions. One for the 20 key niki and one for the 16 key niki

If a push red button for a few second don't appare anything.I if want to lock my device what's the system, or a program to install???

I love it very much!
But, it is still has some minor bugs.
- Connection set-up cannot access
: Error in the database
: E or G symbol on today cannot access -> cannot disconnect GPRS/EDGE from today screen and no information of connected time.
- M2D config
: Cannot add MyFavesWidget, if I add it TouchFlo cannot be launched.
: InternetWidget can be added, but nothing can be used
: LocationWidget can be added, but nothing can be used
- Advance config : it seen that most of features are not actived, it may conflict with some preset features in the ROM
- Settings Button : Button 2 is not available for setting

However, I love it very much and will wait for the new version soon.

Lilly's Rom fix the all program button in M2d. Maybe you can ask him how fix, can you fix the dialpad, when you dial a number oppening the hard keyboard, because nothing happend when you dial, we need to open the phone app first.
Can you do this ROM in Portuguese and with this phone app skin?

Happens the same to me. Done a lot of soft reset's and used others file explorer's, but happens always the same. I think there's some kind of non compatibility to the rom.

In Roms which have Opal Keyboard cooked in the Hardwarekeyboard didn't work. In Roms without cooked in an keyboard i can install opal keybard as cab file an all work fine :-)

My Result: Cooked in Opal Keyboard is the Problem, maybe something wrong with the oem version of opal keyboard in the new rom.

Hi there, sorry if this is hidden in the posts above but I cant get the Mary Build working on my 16key Touch Dual. I have installed both builds 2D Manila and HTC Builds and neither work with the keyboard. I have tried the BJK_HTC_EzInput_QVGA CAB file and this failed to install with 'Insufficient Access rights'?

Can anyone confirm how to get this working with the 16Key?

Hi,

I installed the The normal Digital with Analigic Manilla 2D Rom OS 5.2.20753 (Build 20753.1.4.0) (21/09/2008) a few days ago and so far its been great oter than one issue with the HTC Album software. When I display an image in fullscreen the only thing I can do with it is Pan, which is useless since I can't zoom in to the image to then need to Pan it.

Even a slight tap on th screen, which would normally bring up the options menu, now will only enable the Pan mode. The only way to leave the fullscreen mode is to us the Enter key which also brings up the option menu. I can move to the next or previous image using the hardware keys, but there are no keys to zoom in and out or rotate the image.

I've checked the registry settings and theres nothing obvious that lets you set the time you have to hold on the screen for before it enables pan mode. Is there an O/S setting somewhere for adjusting the touchcreen sensitivity, as i've also noticed that from the today screen when I'm scrolling through my images or emails, etc. i need to drag my finger up or down very firmly and slowly. If I do a quick light movement it actualy displays the item in the relevant viewer. Prior to installing this ROM I had Manila2D installed on my stock 6.0 ROM and the scrolling funcionality from the today screen worked fine.

Anyone else experiencing the same Pan problem in HTC Album or know of a solution? Some help with this would be much appreciated.

Managed to find a fix for this problem. It seems the rom is missing a couple of dll files from the Windows folder and some registry settings. To fix this you can download the Manila 2D Update 18 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398173 and install Album_2.0_1818.3032.cab from there on to your phone. This should install the same version of HTC Album that came with the Mary ROM but in Portrait mode. If you want to get back to Landscape mode just go into the Windows folder on your phone and delete HTCAlbum.exe. Your phone will go back to using the HTCAlbum.exe file that came with the ROM.

Alternatively, if you want to avoid installing lots of files in you Windows folder, then use the files I've attached. Copy HTCGesture.dll and HTCStroke.dll into the Windows folder on your phone and import the registry file HTCGesture.reg. I used Task Manager 3.1 from http://www.dotfred.net/ to export the reg file so you may need to use the same to import it.

You should then be able to use the full set of touch gestures in Album.

I just installed this ROM and it is really great !

However, I have tried to install BlackBerry Connect and do not get it to work. It installs correctly on the device but when I try to configure it through the Desktop application I get following message:

Blackberry Connect Desktop was unable to interact with your device (returned PIN 0).

I have tried both the HTC and Manilla version of this ROM (20 key) and also various BBC versions including 92, 97, 100 and 103.

Just got it working after editing the AKU in the Registry. If you had a similar problem, let me know and I can give you more details.

Hi,

i just installed The normal Digital with Analigic Manilla 2D Rom OS 5.2.20753 (Build 20753.1.4.0) (21/09/2008). Generally it works really great.
But there are some little things that i cant get to work:
The launch browser button wont work. same with youtube.
When i try to use Maps Search, it adds my searchphrase to the search history, but nothing else happens... it wont show any maps.
weather works fine, internet explorer also. so the problems have nothing to do with missing internetconnection.

I'd appreciate any help with this issue...

Could you kindly post how you got Blackberry Connect to work? I'd sure love that on my Niki.

I just installed this ROM and it is really great !

However, I have tried to install BlackBerry Connect and do not get it to work. It installs correctly on the device but when I try to configure it through the Desktop application I get following message:

Blackberry Connect Desktop was unable to interact with your device (returned PIN 0).

I have tried both the HTC and Manilla version of this ROM (20 key) and also various BBC versions including 92, 97, 100 and 103.


UPDATE
Just got it working after editing the AKU in the Registry. If you had a similar problem, let me know and I can give you more details.

Did anyone had a similar issue and was able to fix it ?

I did not get the latest version to work, but this will depend on the ROM and the SIM/mobile phone carrier supported by BlackBerry (obviously, first you need to make sure that BlackBerry service is activated for your SIM).

I did following:

1. Install BBC Desktop on your PC
2. Copy the .cab file to your mobile device
3. Run it from your mobile device (without being connected to the PC)
4. Once installed you will run through a setup asking what you want to synchronize through BBC apart from email (Contacts, Agenda, Tasks, Notes)
5. Your mobile device will restart automatically
6. After the soft reset you should see the BB logo in the bottom right corner (in case you don't remove the software and install again... sometime I needed to install twice)
7. Enter the BB setup on your device and make sure you have the IMEI, PIN and IP (tab Identity). This will be the generic one provided by your mobile carrier.
8. Activate your account using the email and activation code given by your email provider/corporate account (following times, this should be done through the BBC Desktop program)

This should get you going as a general setup. As I mentioned, you may have some trouble with a specific ROM or telephone carrier and you may need to do some additional tweaking.

In my case, the version of the BBC software that works is 4.0.0.97 (Windows Mobile 6 Pro). Also, I needed to tweak the AKU in the Registry:

1. Using a Registry editor (I used Resco)
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Versions and locate the AKU
3. For my ROM/carrier and version 4.0.0.97 of BBC I needed to change this to .0.4.2 (yes, starting with a dot !)
4. This should be done BEFORE you install BBC on your mobile device

This Rom looks great, it wil be the first time i flash my Touch Dual and because of this i am a little worried about the Radio, does this Rom also include a Radio? if not which radio is needed for this Rom or doesn`t that matter?

I now have Radio version = 1.58.16.27, this is the standard radio which came with the phone.

One more question: on my Artemis i have the following Rom: ARTE_WM6.1_3.15.08.33F_B20755_Manila2D
on this Rom is a YouTube application, its great. There is also a Google Maps application but this doesn`t seem to work, all you can do is fill in the search field but nothing else happens? Are these apps available in this Rom and does the Google Maps work?. If they are not available then does anyone have a link to the Cabs?

I would love to flash my phone today so if anyone could help me with answers to these questions then i would be confident enough to get on with it.

i only have one problem up until now, the videos in Photos and Videos won`t play, all i see is a play button in the middle of the screen but it wont react at all.

We have a couple of these phones at work...

I still cant get the hardware keyboard to work, it only produces numbers on the screen not letters (abc etc) Is there anyone here that has got it to work? The touch duals are 16keys.. I have tried the patches posted here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426281) but no luck...

Is there a clear and decisive fix for the hardware 16key issue without having to read through the spammed threads? Or have one of the master chefs created a working cab that will magically apply the fix?

Same here, no hardware keyboard, just numbers. Only the start/mail/back (<-) and web button work not the ABC ones, that just brings up numbers.

Anyone know a fix for this?
