im not sure if anyone of you have this question in mind but i was wondering : the cooked roms are extremely fast already but if i add in the advanced config cache tweaks, what would happen? would it cause the phone to slow down? if cache tweaks were meant to speed up TF3D but at the same time increase the memory % used, then whats the point? since the higher % of memory used, the slower ur phone is right? im one confused guy. =( im using panoshas 1.7 full btw.

I asked Panosha about this... Advance config "WILL" interfere with his performance settings.! If your using his rom then i would not install advance config..! I too is using shine on 1.7 and to be honest A/C does the rom NO justice, I think it runs perfectly without it...!
Shine on 1.7 makes my Diamond *ping*

Why can't he install advanced config? He doesn't necessarily need to mess with performance settings, it has lots of other useful things...

But I'm not sure if a/c loads all its reg settings into memory.. If so then all settings surly would be saved even if you don't make any...? As i said i'm not really sure on this so I'm asking about myself.. if you don get info please do lets us know...!

Well, as i'm using Swift, I don't need to worry as it came with advanced config anyway. I have not messed about with much though - I have only turned on all power management settings and stopped the delay when I hang-up a call.
Interesting thread actually.

I guess when a chief incorporates a/c into their roms then they are taking this issue into account...!
The one thing i have noticed with Advance config is no matter what cooked rom I'm using, when launching a/c for the first time it always has defaults settings, so if a cheif has made performance settings to their roms then why don't a/c show them... this why I'm holding back from using it till i get a full picture.
P.s Totally interesting...!

actually i disagree with you there. i have noticed on different ROMS that the initial settings shown on A/C are in fact different which can only mean that the ROM tweaks are over riding the A/C setings, thats is until you adjust it & do a soft reset.

Confused.... When i have installed Roms and used a/c to check its all ways been default settings...! more research needed...!

thats why im afraid that A/C or TF3D Config or stuff like that would interfere with the rom! damn it, i thought that 1.7 was slow but actually its due to advanced config.. haha looks like im going to flash back!

i thought when A/C 1st starts it reads all the appropriate registry entrys and marks them as the default value!
