I am looking for a clean, sleek 6.1 ROM that is close to the official 6.1 ROMs. There are so many out on this forum and I am confused by the choice. Can someone please recommend a good one to go for?

If your looking for a clean rom look for "lite" ones, if your looking for a vanilla feel one stay away from ones with PDAcorners icons, now, read the FAQ/benchmarks/rom lists and chose one.
(Theres a more upto date rom list at the end of the FAQ)
Make sure you flash HardSPL before you flash any custom roms!

Give CRC's stable (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=387990) rom a go. Very fast and has the necessities.

After a frenzy of flashing, I've settled on the MRH 8.4 release. Has what I need, solid, stable, fast, and doesn't suck my battery.
Unfortunately, I couldn't tell you how to get it -- look here for more info (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2154032&postcount=6).

i had a go with MRH Valerian 9.0, but upon seeing how much apps were installed that i'm never going to use, i immediately started looking at others.
i basically need a WM 6.1 rom.
also have to say i was a bit annoyed by the bugs, for example, contacts, the most basic thing of all, did not work because
the file 'randomaccess' cannot be opened :mad:
oh well...
am trying the CRC one next, and then maybe the DVHA one, plz keep the recommendations coming, if you know of any basic, stable ROMs without all the extra cruft.

CRC naked BS is fantastic imo.
MRH V9 was based on pda corner, his roms are also good, if you like the graphics.
Tbh.. you wont know till you have flashed them all.

Yup.. just reinstall random access.. covered.. not once.. about 6 blood times!!!!!

edit: er, ok. i thought you meant this thread. sorry, but when you mentioned stable, i thought stable as in stable 'out-of-the-box' (or out-of-the-interweb)

Thats the thing about cooked roms, they all have there random bugs :)
Some less than others, naked ones, even less.

sorry, but i am a noob, the first time i have heard of this random access problem is in this thread. i did not expect to have this kind of problem with a rom that people are saying is stable. but never mind, live and learn...

hmm CRC is definitely more like what i am looking for, but slightly misses the mark, because it lacks Office Mobile. damn, it was close though...

And you will live and learn, there is office mobile if you download the full version, and would prefer if you can keep discussion on certain ROMs on certain thread, gets messy otherwise :D

Look on device update.. Mobile officer is there. Anyway, yes, ask in the rom thread itself.
