I have a Sprint Touch Pro and love the Sprint theme. I looked through the thread and didn't see anybody contributing a Sprint theme, so I made one. :-) If I duped some work, well, oops!

There already was an "official" small and big icon, but since the big icon was for the landscape theme, it was white and didn't have a colored glow, so I made one with a colored glow, to fit into the Sprint TF3D theme better than white. Attached is the result. I used a sort of sky-blue (since they already used every color in the rainbow, I tried to make one a little different).

If you have a color request, just let me know. It should be pretty easy to render out different colors since it's just a glow filter over the original image.

Enjoy!

just the one on the main screen underneath the BIG CLOCK that says call history and calendar. I don't want to add another tab I just want to when I click on the main screen on calendar to display this calendar instead of the windows mobile one.

Can something be done like this to rewrite the contacts tab? I would like a contacts tab that looks just like the programs tab- a 3x3 or 4x4 set of pictures that you can just click to call, kind of like the HTC home contacts tab (which was 2x5)
I know the old manilla2d has it, would it be hard to port it over to tf3d for us diamond and pro users?

Realy nice looking program for the calendar. BUT!

Is it just me or is this just for show or something?

Are you supose to be able to add apointments with this?

Notice that when you use "Calendar v.0.75 with Active Icon" in "dynamic" icon mode there is a possibility that the TF3D crash (...and restart itself)!

So, if your TF3D crash after "Calendar v.0.75 with Active Icon" installed, you can fix this issue by using this script to do a "static" icon mode (the spoken file to edit: 26948339_manila) :

...Also, you can still use old "static" icons (or combine them with active by replacing strings partly):
<ComponentReference Name="icon_normal" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="Calendar_Off" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_selected" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="Calendar_On" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_preview" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="Calendar_Preview" />

Hi...
just a quick question...
whats the path for language files?
(when hashing the manila filename)

What do you mean ("What the path for language files?")... ?
Maila Files? or the list of the Maila Language Files?
If you meant Maila files with the language files so it's in the \Windows folder in your Windows Mobile device.

Did u make the file yourself?

the file name 7f60d775_manila is a path in manila..

an example...
the image manila file 1479c303_manila
is short for.. \windows\HTC\Assets\Images\Manila\icon_preview\Cal endar-hero.qtc

But I haven't figured out what the path for language files are..?

I checked your file again.. and u took the 'en-us' file and just filled in your language... :rolleyes:
Then u have a en-us TF3D right?

deyima, yeah that's possible, but it will be too troublesome to support \ update both versions. Let's wait for newer versions with Settings screen for: first day of week, flick direction and so on
I'm already working on it :)

tnyynt, you can put all locales in a single cab. Files have unique names and manila will pick the correct one :)

Wow... there are more than 20 people asking for the feature; set other day different thn sunday as "first-day of week".

I will appreciate as well the inclussion of the week-number indication on every week-row.

We keep waiting for new updates... congratulations, its a very good application.

Wow 53 pages in this thread...
Unfortunately I don't have time to read though all of them so maybe someone can help me.
I installed the Calendar tab on my Touch Pro - everything is working except the month and days are displayed as IDS_CALENDAR_xxxxxxx (xxxx being the name of month/day).
Where is this filed substituted?
(I have an english rom so the Calendar in language title is Calendar - or not?)

Nevermind, I got it - the zip did not include one important file. I got it from elswhere, now it works.

Hi D-MAN666, thanks for your great work!!

I need a little help: I've developed a little finger-friendly app to quickly add a new appointment (link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=434760). How can I add as a new Manila tab?

Thanks a lot

Connecting calendar tab with the GekoNewCal or standard calendar is a great idea!

Hi
Im having problems copying 112dc2ce_manila and 1479c303_manila to the HTC. Have stopped TouchFlo. Have also removed everytihng from Startup folder temporarily. File in use or access denied error

Cant copy the file from my PC. Also tried by copying to Temp dir on HTC and then use the HTC file explorer to copy it - still giving me error.

If this was on a PC i would check its attributes (change them if required) and make sure I had permissions to delete the file

Can anyone help?

Here is an interesting problem. Im sure there is a logical explanation for it.

Since it is not possible to use Advanved config tool to reorder the icons because it removes the calender, I decided to do it manually as follows:

1) Copy 26948330_manila to my pc
2) edit this to re order the icons
3) copy the file back to Windows on HTC - no luck
4) copy to temp location on HTC
5) copy from temp to Windows using file explorer

NOW THEN
I restart Manila and....NO CALENDER.
NOT only that. When i copy the file back to my PC I find all the code for the calender has dissappeared. It WAS there when I originally copied it to the PC but when replaced it on HTC after editing it the code dissappeared. Yes - I am positive that the code was still tehre when i copied it to the HTC.

Its as if something on the HTC didnt like it and replaced the file with the original one.

I definately think you and Omar68 should collaborate! Also, (Apologies if these have been posted already - it's really hard to keep up!) it would be great to see:

- See a daily list of Tasks and Appointments by tapping a day.
- Days with just appointments in color, days with tasks and appointments in bold or some derivation.

Of course this requires a hook into Outlook which I'm sure elevates the complexity greatly...

As is - still a great app and very helpful!

@Luisjc69 Don't worry, as for os/ROM Version:
go to Settings->System->About and/or Device Information.
next...
backing up all the *.manila files... well more than 3 ways eg: 1) run total commander ce on Your device (it is free btw) open windows folder (it could take some time) and sort files by its extension, then press ctrl button in commander so U will be able to check more than one files. check all files witch *.manila extension, will be A LOT of them (i don't make any backup (pim only) i am to lazy). now press ctrl button to deactivate it .copy checked files to the clipboard. now on your memory card make a new folder for that files. AND paste from clipboard -> all by total commander, a really handy tool.
2) from windows xp/vista open Windows Mobile Device Center ->browse contents of device : \ folder windows after a while all files should be loaded, change view to details and sort by type. now check by mouse all files *.manila, press ctrl and c (copy it to the clipboard like in total commander ce). now in new folder on Your PC's hard disk paste that copied manila files.. UFFF! . in case of problems pm me.
ps Ich habe Das Deutsch fur 5 Yahren Gelernt, it was a long time ago...

3. Add new tab entry to 26948339_manila (it can be found in \windows\ dir):<Page Order="10" Name="calendar.page" PackageName="HTC" Title="Calendar">
<ComponentReference Name="page" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="GizmoRoot" SmartComponent="true" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_normal" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="ActiveCalendarIconTray" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_selected" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="ActiveCalendarIconOn" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_preview" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="ActiveCalendarIconPreview" />

Put your language title for calendar instead of Title="Calendar"
Also, you can still use old "static" icons (or combine them with active by replacing strings partly):
<ComponentReference Name="icon_normal" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="Calendar_Off" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_selected" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="Calendar_On" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_preview" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="Calendar_Preview" />
4. Restart manila
5. ???
6. PROFIT :D

PS Feel free to edit application icon

Updates
Version 0.6:
- Added localization support. Package contains only en-us and ru-ru locales. If you need your language added, please fill in any of locales included with your language and send back to me - i will add it to pkg.
- Removed red textbox - app looks nice now :)
- Minor bugfixes
Version 0.7:
- New locale IDS! Be aware when creating new language packs!
- Finger flick control (oh yeah, baby)
- Hardware button control (up/down)
Version 0.75:
- Active Icon (shows real date in tray/preview)

Have fun :)[/QUOTE]

Many thanks to the creators of this Calendar app! Sadly, my HTC Touch Pro seems to hang up when using it... but I'm using the stock Sprint ROM and used the CAB install since I'm not comfortable with all the manual tweaking... so that probably has something to do with it.

I really hope you will continue development on this and release a CAB once all the features are in!

Enjoy!

Download (http://www.avianwaves.com/Tech/Tools/TF3DCalendar/SprintIcons.zip)

And now a shameless plug for my website with fun tools and music. :-) http://www.avianwaves.com

Thank you so much for the icon...just what I was looking for! Since you were so gracious to offer color request, could you be so kind as to make an icon to make this black and blue theme? It is gray when icon_normal and a bold blue when icon_selected. Attached is a screen shot of the theme. Thanks for your time!

Also anyone know how to change the color of the current day? Right now it is highlighted in green and I would like to change it to blue.

i used your calendar icon. really great. i am wondering if you can resize the top icon that floats to match the size of the other sprint icons. it is way small. Otherwise perfect idea, I searched for hours to find those icons.

@Luisjc69 Don't worry, as for os/ROM Version:
go to Settings->System->About and/or Device Information.
next...
backing up all the *.manila files... well more than 3 ways eg: 1) run total commander ce on Your device (it is free btw) open windows folder (it could take some time) and sort files by its extension, then press ctrl button in commander so U will be able to check more than one files. check all files witch *.manila extension, will be A LOT of them (i don't make any backup (pim only) i am to lazy). now press ctrl button to deactivate it .copy checked files to the clipboard. now on your memory card make a new folder for that files.

Thanks for that! I needed that after reading 40,000 pages!

Jumping in really late. I like the icon you did for the calendar. Color request would be red. Would greatly appreciate it. Thanx.

Also, people, read this thread from the beginning. I had no problems at all. Another note. When editing the manila files, make a copy to edit. After editing, move the copy to your memory card. Then use TotalCommander to copy it to your /Windows directory on your device. If you try to edit it directly on your device, you will get the errors mentioned throughout this thread.

did anyone ever fix the issue with this cab making the white menus have white text on them (ie the weather settings page)?

I can't find in this topic how to use built-in Touch HD's Manila "Customize Tabs" function, so I find it out myself.

Here it is:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\HTC\Manila]
"Manila://calendar.page.hidden"=dword:00000000

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\HTC\Manila\Configurat ion\11]
"Title"="Calendar"
"PageName"="Manila://calendar.page"
"Enable"=dword:00000001

But, in Tab editor, there's no appropriate picture for the calendar tab.
If somebody know how, please share.

D-MAN666 great effort you had there; thanks and allow me to give you a hand here for the HD owners before they start pure their pocket of questions all over the threads, since you already got tons of questions and that was mostly from the diamond’s owners...
So to make things easy for HD’s owners I have made two different zip files.
-One that goes with the original HTC slider “non-transparent”.
-And a second one goes with Pamas transparent slider.

And all you need to do is:

1- Extract the contents of the zip file somewhere in your desktop.
2- Move these files somewhere in your HD like the storage card.
3- Disable TouchFLO 3D.
4- Use Resco explorer or Total Commander to copy/paste all these files in your HD windows directory.
5- Enable TouchFLO 3D.
6- Have fun…..

Note: the calendar-transparent.zip file will also fix the Stock tab overlap when Pamas transparent slider installed in your HD.

It was not found though the *-manila file(calendar ja-jp setting file) in \windows folder was seen.

A Japanese calendar configuration file(lang="ja-jp") doesn't exist in "Calendar.locales.zip".

Isn't there method of understanding the file name of xx?

ja-jp -> ?_manila

For all those looking for a CAB file not wanting to read the entire thread. Do a simple thread search (or search from within your browser) for the term CAB. I found every CAB posted in this thread by doing this. Now to figure out which one I need to install.

A summary in the first post with the files would be awesome.

Look in the first post .. there is a zip file called 'Calendar.locales.zip'
download it and see if your language is there ...

If it's not there .. take the english one and translate it to your language..
then post it here like a text file and name it spanish_manila

Thanks for your job, and here you are the catalan translation.

This looks like the same "Simple" mistake I made after the 0,75 version came out :rolleyes:

There are a series of "language" specific files in the 1st post inside Calendar.locales.zip - simply download, extract and select the one you need for your language and include that in what you copy across to the/windows directory on your phone.... this includes those using an English Rom!

Hope this helps and it fix's the problem you have? :)

.

Great find mate!! Finally I've foud the solution!!

What you should do is to take the correct path like "\windows\HTC\locales\it-it\Calendar.it-it.xml" (replace it-it with your locale ID) and then pull it through djb2 hash. Add "_manila". Voila! You've got your filename :)

Hi D-Man! Thanks and just one more question: Is it possible to change the Calendar title because the months and the days are Hungarian but the the title didn't changed? I thought that it comes from the Hungarian file where I changed it, but it doesn't appear.

Hi To all!
I've try to read a lot of page, but not all... i'm sorry... but 57 pages are too much for my poor english.

I've try to install this mod in my HTC Touch HD (italian)
but after, when i try to restart TF3D, i read in the display:

"wait TF3D is running" (more or less)

after 3 second change and i read:

"Touch here for start TF3D"

but always switch from this 2, never start TF3D.

Have you any solution?

Will this support wQVGA which uses M2D.

Other than a tab with a monthly view of calendar what else is shown.
? any appointments (i.e. by a symbol )
? can you view folowing month also
? add appointments directly to a specific date. then that loads in the default PIM app to add the data.

is the functionality similar to today calendar plugins.

Thanks for information. I did try to look , but thread is long!

Hello all. ... Okay. I'm stuck. This is a great piece of work and well done. Really appreciate it. But i'm still confused. I did as per the first post instructions, skimmed through almost the entire thread, but i can't seem to find how to get a default standard calendar icon that can be used with the standard HTC Touch Pro TF3D icons. I like the iPhone calendar, but somehow it just doesn't gell in with the rest of the icons as you can see in the attached image. Tough crowd, i know! So can someone please point me to how I can get a standard icon? I know manilla.mode9 has the icon in the landscape view. However, I would like the icon in the image in a few posts above as it includes today's date. Thanks to all.

If you unzip the file from first post, then use a tool called "Manila Editor" and browse the Windows folder under the ZIP, you will see that you can extract and import artwork then save your custom images in the proper Manila format.

All right, boys and girls, please welcome first custom tf3d/manila application ever! :)

It's a simple calendar, but it's just a test of manila coding/modding and someone might find it useful, also.

PLEASE NOTE, that development is still in beta state - much things to be fixed/added. Feedback/bugreports are welcome, of course.

Installation instructions:
1. Backup all *_manila files in \windows\ folder! You can skip this step, but don't complain afterwards
2. Copy all files from \windows\ in archive to \windows\ folder on device
3. Add new tab entry to 26948339_manila (it can be found in \windows\ dir):
<Page Order="10" Name="calendar.page" PackageName="HTC" Title="Calendar">
<ComponentReference Name="page" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="GizmoRoot" SmartComponent="true" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_normal" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="ActiveCalendarIconTray" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_selected" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="ActiveCalendarIconOn" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_preview" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="ActiveCalendarIconPreview" />
</Page>Put your language title for calendar instead of Title="Calendar"
Also, you can still use old "static" icons (or combine them with active by replacing strings partly):
<ComponentReference Name="icon_normal" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="Calendar_Off" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_selected" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="Calendar_On" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_preview" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="Calendar_Preview" />4. Restart manila
5. ???
6. PROFIT :D

PS Feel free to edit application icon

Updates
Version 0.6:
- Added localization support. Package contains only en-us and ru-ru locales. If you need your language added, please fill in any of locales included with your language and send back to me - i will add it to pkg.
- Removed red textbox - app looks nice now :)
- Minor bugfixes
Version 0.7:
- New locale IDS! Be aware when creating new language packs!
- Finger flick control (oh yeah, baby)
- Hardware button control (up/down)
Version 0.75:
- Active Icon (shows real date in tray/preview)

I finally got a chance to mess around with this and installed it. It took me a few tries and i missed installing the language locale from the second zip the first time, but it was worth it to read the thread.

I was having a hard time doing anything with the files from the windows dir that i needed to edit, so inside total commander, i changed the properties of the one manila file, 26948339_manila, to change it's status from "read only" so i could readily edit it. This is of course after i backed up every file to my storage card. Once i got the file open on my device, I used MyMobiler to edit the xml file since i couldn't figure out how to get it on my computer to edit it, or to get the file to show. It was easy, since i just copied your code from the code box, and dumped it right into the file. clicked save, set the file preferences back to "read only", restarted touchflo, and i was done.

For the record, this was my first time really messing with anything deep inside the device like that, I believe I still have a stock ROM, but with the plain HTC theme and a few other changes made to it. So i may be missing some special tricks to getting at the windows files that allow the device to run properly.

either way, thanks D-MAN666, cool little app.

Hey I just tried this software. I think it's going in the right direction because the calendar system that winmobile has is garbage.

Hi Nobelove,

Thanks for the HTC HD version, it work perfectly on the calender.

But I think it cause another problem to the photo in the "People" tab.
The photos is blur. Anyone encountered this problem?

Thanks.

Hey D-man!

Really great work with this calendar tab. But I really don't wanna mess around on my own with the Manila files. Anyone wanna make a cab-file for a norwegian install (bokmal)? Lang-code no-nb (I think)...

I had a Nokia E51 before. Boring phone, but the calendar has a nice popup thing. When I highlighted a specific date in month view, there was a small popup message showing the events of the selected date. Is it possible to include something like this in the beautiful tflo3d-calendar?

Thx alot for great work, guys...! :D

I think the main problem with linking with Outlook Calendar is the decompilation + recompilation of the manila code files.
I might be wrong, but the retrieval of information from the Windows Platform and then coding it and compiling it into mode9 would be quite messy.

As far as I can tell, there hasn't been a lot of apps out there that integrate completely with Manila + WinMo...then again my searching-skillz have proved quite lame, so if someone wants to correct me, go ahead :p

Sorry guys, i'm just lazy and busy with other work... :)

What you should do is to take the correct path like "\windows\HTC\locales\it-it\Calendar.it-it.xml" (replace it-it with your locale ID) and then pull it through djb2 hash. Add "_manila". Voila! You've got your filename :)

I didn't have the HTC Folder :(

I'm really frustrated, because i dont know what i've to do now.

This is what i've done:
1. Copy with TotalComander the following files to the /windows folder
112dc2ce_manila, 635d8d3d_manila, 0685c809_manila, 1479c303_manila, 05839b74_manila, 14275e69_manila

2. Opened 26948339_manila and no it looks like this:

<Manila Mode9Path="HTC\UIRoot.mode9">

<Navigation>

<PageGroup Name="Root">

<Page Order="0" Name="home.page" PackageName="HTC" Default="true" Title="Clock">

<ComponentReference Name="page" Mode9Path="HTC\home.mode9?testParam=1" Component="GizmoRoot" SmartComponent="true"/>

<ComponentReference Name="icon" Mode9Path="HTC\AnalogClockIcon.mode9" Component="AnalogClockIconTray"/>

</Page>
<Page Order="10" Name="calendar.page" PackageName="HTC" Title="Calendar">
<ComponentReference Name="page" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="GizmoRoot" SmartComponent="true" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_normal" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="ActiveCalendarIconTray" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_selected" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="ActiveCalendarIconOn" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_preview" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="ActiveCalendarIconPreview" />
</Page>

</PageGroup>

</Navigation>

<DialogManager>

<DialogGroup Name="Dialogs">

</DialogGroup>

</DialogManager>

</Manila>

Saved it to the /windows folder

BUT now the iDiamond loads not any more :(

I've looked for the htc folder, but there is nothing like this in the windows folder :(

Was all of this done using Manila Editor?

I have successfully installed the calendar tab with the call history, not using any cab, and the menus on the call histroy work. I have the AT&T Fuze with stock rom, so there is the Calendar link on the home page. I'd like to replace that link with something else, but can't unless this calendar tab can launch the stock calendar.

I haven't used Manilla Editor yet. Is it difficult to learn? I am a software engineer with 12 years of programming experience in C+ and C#, so I think I should be able to pick this up. Hardest part will be finding the time.

Are the manilla files supplied, the output from the manila editor, and can they be opened with the manilla editor to make changes?

This was primarily "proof of concept". So i'm working on separate app now, but i will back to this calendar eventually :)

Since this was just a proof of concept app for you, is there any chance you could post the source. I'd love to start digging in and have a good base to learn from.

I downloaded the m9editor and my intitial thoughts are that adding a right soft button to launch the outlook calendar to today's date would not be that difficult.

Also, what tools do you use for your lua programming?
Are there any good develpment refernces that you could point out to get a person up and running somewhat quickly?

I have had a play with this to make it work with my stock icons....

Installation instructions:

1. Turn TouchFLO 3D off (Settings/Today/Items)

2. Backup all *_manila files in \windows\ folder! You can skip this step, but don't complain afterwards!!

3. Copy all 5 *_manila files from "TF3D Manila Calendar Tab v0.75 Nocky.zip" file to a temp location on your device such as Storage Card or My Documents

4. Use a file manager program like Resco Explorer or Total Commander to move the files from your temp location to the
device Windows folder (confirm overwrite of all files)

5. Add new tab entry to 26948339_manila (it can be found in \windows\ dir) and edited with any text editor:

<Page Order="??" Name="calendar.page" PackageName="HTC" Title="Calendar">
<ComponentReference Name="page" Mode9Path="HTC\calendar.mode9" Component="GizmoRoot" SmartComponent="true" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_normal" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="Active Calendar_Off" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_selected" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="Active Calendar_On" />
<ComponentReference Name="icon_preview" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="Active Calendar_Preview" />
</Page>

Replace ?? with your required page number

If you want static icon's then you can remove "Active " from any of the three icon component's above

ie:

<ComponentReference Name="icon_selected" Mode9Path="HTC\Calendar.mode9" Component="Calendar_On" />

6. Install the appropriate Locale file from "TF3D Manila Calendar Tab v0.75 Locales.zip" to device windows folder

7. Turn TouchFlo 3D back on

8. Enjoy

FULL CREDIT TO D-MAN666 FOR THIS TAB....

I have simply changed the icon's back to original, and edited the mode9 to change text sizes / colours / positions & tab sizes / behaviour....

Cheers....

Awesome app!! Unfortunately, it doesn't work quite well on my touch diamond. I get weird titles, and I'm not able to select one of the days. ROM version 2.03.404.2 Dutch.

nocky
13th April 2009, 10:58 PM
You need to install your locale file for the titles to work properly (See the locales zip in the above post)....

This calendar displays the month only.... Days are not selectable.... For this you must open the standard windows mobile calendar from the home page....

Does this app really looks so bad then? I mean, the calender itself is nice, but that title and de option below at the left side, i think that is not what it should be?

continuing the request how to change the today-highlight color, i also wanted to know how to change the colors of the active icon.

i wanted to make my own calendar icon that fits to the outline-icons i am actually using. so the number of the actual day also has to be white.

i will try to find out how to realise it and if i can make it work, i will post some cabs with several colors for the highlight.
like yellow, blue, red, gold, aso...

Very weird that you don't have this file, coz it's manila.xml indeed :)

You can try searching for file, that contains "<PreloadImage".

i have done all the steps like explained and i feel great with this cool claledar view. i was already playing with tf3d2 which provide the same view for the calendar. but the view is not everything :-). i reckon that the claendar just give us the view but no rights/possibilty to make an appointment and or to see one shame :-((

Okay, I'm a noob and just got my HTC Fuze this past weekend. I 've been trolling these discussions to find many excellent tweaks and apps to make my Fuze really enjoyable. One thing about this tweak I'm not sure about - since I'm using a Fuze and AT&T has loaded some of their own things including their own tab - will this fix work on my Fuze? I didnt' want to try it without confirmation. Will the scroll bar get screwed up?

The problem is that for spanish there are various codes for the language in TF3D, spanish (traditional sort), spanish (international sort), Spanish (Colombia) for instance.

I was having the same problem and I did solve it changing in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\MUI the value to 3082.

3082 is the code for spanish (international sort)

I've just installed the Calendar and copy the Spanish locales but it doesn`t work. I can only see the tags (IDS_CALENDAR...)

Anyway... Great work D-MAN666. Just one thing... It would also be great if we could set Monday as first day of week (instead of Sunday)

I got this working no problem, copied over the manila files and edited my manila.xml, but, the generated calendar icon in the tab isn't as wide/tall as it should be on my sprint pro.. it's almost like it's 100x100 instead of 128x128 and it's still top-left justified.. any ideas?

one suggestion for an improvement.. instead of flipping the calendar, have it fall apart and rejoin similar to the SMS tab.. ;)

Why the calendar cannot start on Monday?

Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm just the next person asking the same boring question.

The Calendar tab is really cool, but I found this Monday issue to be very serious drawback.

I tried searching this thread, im not going to read all 70+ pages to see if someone found this out, but....

The calendar tab messes up the Menu softkey on the SMS tab. I hard reset twice today trying to find out which app did it. Thank goodness it wasnt the analog clock, cause i love that. It wouldnt be such a big deal, but sometimes i would like to delete a single text from TF3D, not the entire thread from the Inbox.

So, has anyone else experienced this? Stock Sprint Rom too....

What is this coded in? As in, how did you program this? I would like to try writing my own tab as well

Manilla = 100% *.XML

Though with every ROM (phone) 123456780_manilla.blahblah changes. Actually 123456780 changes here, though the "body" = nearly equal,
thus one 'll need an application capable of the following search string;

Find: *.txt
Search [ blah,blah extention] for: "youNameIt" ...

Q: Which program does such a strange search string?

... :o Total Commander (http://www.ghisler.com) does that !!! TC is shareware (functional for ever, though... betta buy it).

--- :) Total Commander free for PocketPC / Smartphones / Handheld cq CE (http://www.ghisler.com/ce.htm) unfortunately not as mighty and powerfull as it's big PC brother, but nevertheless a true Norton Commander clone!
Not for nothing TC was once called Windows Commander (http://www.ghisler.com/name.htm) :D (http://www.ghisler.com/name.htm) (click 2 C why (http://www.ghisler.com/name.htm))!

Have phun,

D-MAN666,

I appreciate the work and am able to get the Calendar Tab with real date on my Blackstone Shipped ROM 1.57.8321.1, Manila 1.14.25.24, Traditional Chinese. I've got the Title for the Calendar.page in my language as well. The instruction is very clear. A dummy like myself can change the 26948339_manila without much difficulty. D-MAN666 is surely a good instructor.

But I think that there are still rooms for improvement:
(1) With Date Feed
(a) Once inside the manila subpages, e.g, music, there is automatic "shutting down & reloading" of the tf3d in less than 2 seconds, making it impossible to amend a playlist;
(b) When rearranging the tab order in the Settings.page even I have tapped on the Cancel soft key, the tf3d shut down & reload itself,
(2) Without the Date Feed (i.e., icon_normal, icon_select, etc)
(c) The tf3d would not reset itself any more when on the music.page, and when the soft key to cancel tab order changes in the Settings.page.

So, it is obvious that there is some conflict somewhere with Manila 1.14.25.24.

(3) Both with & without Date Feed - the Calendar icon does not show an image on the positioning holder. I can move Calendar holder amongst other tab holders, I tapped the left soft key to confirm the rearrangement; but the calendar.page's tab disappeared until I repositioned it in the order as set in XML file (26948339_manila).

I love the Calendar Tab and am prepared to leave it as it is (without the Actual Date Feed), and hope that I'll be able to see the next version with steady date feed feature somewhere in the pipeline.

Best Regards!

D-MANN666 wrote this in September of 2008. So, 1.5 years ago.

He posted 2 posts since October of 2009, and 1 of those posts was a link to the other one. Both related to Windows Phone 7.

Although I may be wrong, I don't think he plans on doing anything more with this.

Why not just flash a ROM with the latest Sense 2.1 or Sense 2.5 which both have an active date icon?

When he wrote this, it was cutting edge.
The fact that it was the first real mod done from scratch is an outstanding achievement.

But the latest Sense 2.1 and Sense 2.5 blow it away.

It's been very kind of you. It doesn't look like hTC will update my Blackstone to 2.5 ROM as it did for Rhodium users. Flashing it to a cooked version for the speed & stability should be the only viable choice.

Thanks very much.
