All right, boys and girls, please welcome first custom tf3d/manila application ever! :)

It's a simple calendar, but it's just a test of manila coding/modding and someone might find it useful, also.

PLEASE NOTE, that development is still in beta state - much things to be fixed/added. Feedback/bugreports are welcome, of course.

Installation instructions:
1. Backup all *_manila files in \windows\ folder! You can skip this step, but don't complain afterwards
2. Copy all files from \windows\ in archive to \windows\ folder on device
3. Add new tab entry to 26948339_manila (it can be found in \windows\ dir):

Very weird that you don't have this file, coz it's manila.xml indeed :)

You can try searching for file, that contains "<PreloadImage".

WOW Just tested it and its working fine without any problem. Love the animation. Wish flicking finger up and down would change the months as well instead of using the arrow (Like in messages tab). One question, what are these numbers near the top left corner?

Silly me. the Today key works just as you mentioned.
I tested automatic day/month change by changing the system date and it worked. The date on the calendar tab changed within a second or two after pressing the ok button.

iPhone icons are included in the package! If you don't see em, you either didn't copy the into windows dir, or incorrectly edited manila.xml file... or something else happened :)

Please note that it refers to calendar.mode9, not icons.mode9 (that may be the case):

Great idea, next highly anticip[ated features for this specific app would be:

1. Clicking the date opens the Calendar app to create new appointment (Default calendar/PI/Papyrus ... an option feature to choose)
2. Flicking down - show all your today appointments/tasks + for next 7 days (this one I guess i very much in demand, as the default manilla only show for today on main screen)

BTW, how about creating a .cab file?

This is "default" icon (for situations when icon is missing). I dunno why some people gets that icon instead of iPhone one (included). Anyone has iPhone icon?

BTW, how about creating a .cab file?
The problem is in icon of that tab - for all it will be only one... so after .cab installing you must take file 112dc2ce_manila and 1479c303_manila from you Windows folder and change them to your view
And WARNING it works correctly only if you don't change any thing in manila (like change a place of tab in Advanced config or add call history tab) in another way code that you have to add to file must be different

Your findings on how to add new pages to manila will surely produce a lot of nice customizations. I think we will have a very hard time to arrange themes and new tabs tough

I've DiamProject v3.3 rom, with installed a set of icons. I've overwrited 2 files.
Also after a Soft-reset, nothing happens.

anyway, if u want to change the tab order, just change the page order in the XML file, like, if Weather is 6, change calender to 7 and program to 8

Why don't those HTC people simply tell us what else can be added to the tab bar? This has to be "discovered" (by trial and error) one by one. I suspect there is a hidden "tasks" tab, hidden whatever tab there.

Maybe somebody can try out the "tasks" codes to see if it works.

For some funny coinscedence, the default icon, that replaces any missing icon, is that calendar icon. That's why i thought, that you installed incorrectly. Now i see. Fine :)

hi...after extracting the contents i found 4 files inside the windows folder...so now i copy and paste them into the windows folder in my htc diamond....after that how to add the new tab into 26948339_manilla....i found it through the resco explorer but dont know how to open and how to edit it......

MMM, not working for me, but i seem to have 2 26948339_manila files in my windows directory

one says 26948339_manila and the other says 26948339_manila_original???

is this right or should i delete one of them? i've edited the original file and nothings happened.

edit: fixed it, just needed to rename the original one and take off the "_original" bit.... doh!

One question...

I'm making a new theme right now... and I am using a different gles file (61f866ab_manila) for the icons in TF3D..
With this there are 3 icons '_tray', '_hero' and '_focused'...

When I add your calander there are only 2 icons... is there anyway to edit the gles file to 3 icon?

It is an independent application (apart from locale bug i recently discovered), even icons are embedded and files are all unique, so it should work regardless of any current tab configuration :) But i haven't tested

The first translation I think I made a mistake I changed IDS not source for that I upload the correct txt!

Yeah, I think the problem is that you're using a cooked ROM, that is not Greek.
If you're saying English (GB, not US), then locale name s/b:

I transfered the file from the windows folder into my pc...then i opened it with the note pad and then inserted the code as advised....after that when i tried to save it i was not able to and instead it got saved into a text format...so how to go about it....how do i get the original file format and then save it back to the windows folder in my HTC....

use TotalCommander - it supports multi highlighting

otherwise it's not that dangerous, cause all of the manila files are in the ROM, too!

ok i had this and sorted it by deleting the file 26948339_manila_disabledtabs which i believe is created when you move tabs around in tf3d config.
so i installed the call history tab then edited the 26948339_manila with the calendar text editing 10 to 11 for tab saved and started tf3d and hey presto all is well then moved the tabs with tf3d config

at the momment this is just a calendar showing today, i say just but the fact its a tf3d manila tab addon is massive, i believe there is work in progress for additional functions.

hey, thanks for this app it's pretty cool.
i used the original version, and this latest 0.7 and it works well. thanks also to the guy who posted the zip file that turned the icons back to the originals.. the iPhone icons really looked weird.. could you consider making the default calendar icon the icon that comes with your app?

apart from that it works well. the only issue i have is when i'm flicking between months (or pressing the up/down arrows) the calendar stutters a bit, it halts half way thru the animation.. is there anyway to fix this?

im using a telstra 1.38 ROM, original.

deyima, yeah that's possible, but it will be too troublesome to support \ update both versions. Let's wait for newer versions with Settings screen for: first day of week, flick direction and so on

I have no time to test it right now, but I assume the Title will be "Calendar" in all languages. I can't think of a way to change that, not in a single cab file that is.

True, it needs editing, the main reason I released the ENG standalone cab.

Next time, take some time and read the whole thread.... :p

I installed this and it works just fine, nice job. However I have removed it again as the calendar doesn't show when there are appointments etc. If it could show when there are ones and then go to the normal calendar app when clicked on it would be magnificent

Very weird that you don't have this file, coz it's manila.xml indeed :)

You can try searching for file, that contains "<PreloadImage".

I also have trouble copying file's to the Windows directory.
It keeps erroring me with "No access". Even there's no limitations set.

It's a simple calendar, but it's just a test of manila coding/modding and someone might find it useful, also.

PLEASE NOTE, that development is still in beta state - much things to be fixed/added. Feedback/bugreports are welcome, of course.

Installation instructions:
1. Backup all *_manila files in \windows\ folder! You can skip this step, but don't complain afterwards
2. Copy all files from \windows\ in archive to \windows\ folder on device

I have loved this little mod for our device since it was originally launched. However the flick control animations is not as smooth as it should be.

Perhaps its just me but just when changing from one month to another it just stops right in the center for half a second and then i continues to move. ;)

anyway I have to specify 2 things that could be useful to someone:

1) I didn't like your iphone calendar icon ;) as it clashed with my gold theme.
so I read the thread and discovered that the 2 calendar icons are called 112dc2ce_manila and 1479c303_manila.
Then i opened my gold manila theme file with a zip application, extracted those 2 files and copied them into the \device\windows directory.
voila! i got a calendar icon coherent with my theme :)

2) restarting the touchflo interface didn't work for my 1.93 ITA rom, I had to do a soft reset

Before I install the new version, I have one question. I created my own icons for the calendar tab. What happens when I install the new version with the Active icon ? My icons looks like this and the numbers are "hardcoded" so to speak. It's just an image with 27 on it. Will my own image be disorted or somthing or what ?

use total commander or resco explorer to copy from the phone.

Just copy all the files into a folder in memory and delicious copy&pasta to windows folder usin one of those utilitys
