Hey everyone, sorry if this is a repeat but I tried searching first with no luck.

For the people who swap/update ROMs regularly, is there a quick way you have of backing up and restoring settings/files/contacts/SMS etc. back onto the device after flashing?

If you know of forum posts, tips, programs that are helpful for this, thanks very much. :)

P.S. I know that the Kaiser is UMTS tri-band, but why do my band settings show support for combinations of UMTS 2100+800, 1900+850 and 2100? (Is this a software quirk?)

do a search for uc capable, basically if a rom is uc capable you can set it up to auto install cabs, settings, reg tweaks etc.

From what I've found, 800MHz would be used for UMTS in Japan. Frequency allocatin for UMTS was a bit of a mess as with some countries not following the international directives some had to improvise a bit and relocate differently. So there's a number of conbinations of 800, 850, 1900, 2100MHz around.

Thanks for the info, guys. I've tried Sprite Backup which seems to be an excellent program so far! :)

I also use Sprite, however i heard SPB Backup was a lot better and will be trying it out this weekend :D Also, to install programs, use Sashimi; works wonders.
