Does anyone know of a good water-proof housing for the 6800? I am planning a fishing trip in a few weeks and it would be great to be able to safely bring it. It would also be a bonus if the phone were still usable while in the housing. Thanks!

A good quality ziplock bag should work pretty good, and if you turn the volume all the way up it should be usable from inside the bag. Or use a cheap bluetooth headset, so if it falls in the water you won't be out to much.

I noticed no one gave a product link to a water proof case for the Titan..well I remember seeing it a while back and thought I'd post the link.

I emailed them to see who makes this and it is none other then Otterbox. Its the Otterbox 2600 series (universal PDA holder) so it works for a lot of them.

Do you know how big that thing would be if you put this in there? I mean are you deep sea diving with the thing? Seems a ziploc would do wonders to keep moisture out.
Geez-a-lou, that thing has been shown being driven over by a truck and surviving.

I can also confirm the easiest way to go is the ziplock bag. I usually use the double zipper double lined freezer bag. We throw my Titan, my Wife's Touch and my Bro-N-Law's iPhone in there. Never had a problem with it. Just takes a moment to unzip it to get to your phone if you need to make a call. Though if you are doing deep sea fishing it won't matter as you won't have cell service after a couple miles out. So save the money and use a zippy. Honest it is the smart way to go.

haha, I understand..but I figured if someone really wants to go a step further or I don't know..want to spend the money for something like it..there's the option right above us, just thought it might "help" in some cases

I did and I appreciate. I actually needed this too. So I bought it at Provantage yesterday. Only $25 and shipping I picked the slowest, it already shipped and is arriving today!

If you have any questions furrycnorm just ask away (when I use it). I will definetly use it next week where I am going.

I just got the otter box 1900 of ebay for 9.99 + ~$20 shipping if anyone is interested. Going on my V-Strom for music, navagation and calls.

When I go motorcycling I toss it into a cheap ziplock bag. If you use a "snack sized" bag then there's not a lot of extra plastic hanging around but it's too small to be slid open in the bag so you have to take it out to use the hardware keyboard. Touchscreen keyboard works fine though. If you use a "sandwich sized" bag then even the hardware keyboard can be used without removing it from the bag. I have never tried to place a call through the bag but it would probably work fine. A sandwich sized ziplock combined with a cheap bluetooth headset would be ideal.

I got a RAM AquaBox for mine when I'm on the motorcycle. I plumbed in a charging cord. Bluetooth music etc.
Bad idea. The phone gets EXTREMELY hot if the sun is shining. So hot, it shuts down the internal battery charger and weakened my battery.
So if you put it in a box/bag, etc., where the suns heat will get trapped, do NOT run a charge cable to it.

I've seen the overheating thing before in the car on a hot day but I live on the coast of the north Atlantic. Overheating on a motorcycle would be an amazing thing according to how cold my fingers can get, lol. I'd be more concerned about the cold!
Seriously tho, I'll keep my eye on it. Thanks for the heads up.
