WM 6.1 in catalan

Hi ... 1st. Sorry for my english.

Somebody could cook a ROM WM6.1 in Catalan? By all means I offer myself to translate all the necessary one, but not like making soon to compile. The problem is that any version does not exist, neither original nor cooked, in this language. And we are several people interested in this. Thanks in case somebody helps us, and if no, also. Wonderful work the one that you carry out in the forum. Greetings.

I see very difficult, I believe that by not having a base would have to compile the whole system and I think this closed.

Sorry for being sharp, but I think that it's more a whim than an important subject to solve. Since every spaniard knows how to read and write in Spanish perfectly, I don't see the need to make the big effort that is to translate a whole OS.

IMHO, translations like the ones in Basque, Galician and Catalan are just candies for nationalists.

candies? A whim? :eek: A ROM in my language? :( I am not going to respond it would do because it of bad ways. You need to democratic culture and some that another neuron. I feel like victim. / Aussi je sais parler français, et je peux lire un OS, et je ne veux pas ma rom dans cette langue.


Why to make a book in Catalan if we read in Spanish? Why to speak Catalan if we are understood in Spanish? Why to write in Catalan if we know the Spanish? Why to see tv in Catalan if we understand the Spanish? In short, that if by you outside, only we would speak Spanish, truth? Perhaps you do not understand that culture comprises of your country, and like so, you would have, to respect it at least, since to want it will be difficult. But you do not introduce ties.

Now if, I hope that somebody of the forum, understands our position and it helps me to make the ROM in Catalan. Again congratulations by your work and to pardon this interference which we are ourselves put under constantly in our country.

Calm down, trabucaire.

My native language is Spanish and I always use ROMs in Wold Wide English. I do suppose that you could stick with it since:
1. You are a spaniard, and you understand Spanish.
2. There are Spanish ROMs.
3. You are able to read/write in English with a bit of luck.
4. All the important ROMs come in English.

What's the problem? Giving extra work to translate a ROM in a language that is only used in a region of Spain is like demanding a car painted of pink just because a few people want it. I'm not talking about politics, I'm talking about the useless and about priorities.

I am not going to comment more on the subject. It would be thankful to you that if you are not interested in a ROM in Catalan, as simple as not to appear this way. If somebody is arranged to show the way to me of how to do it, I will only do. Or if somebody gives the necessary files me will translate I them.

I do not see because we must enter discucion why in the world there are many languages that unfortunately hurt communication between people, but neither should be placed in foster Traverse languages, nor impose them.

I personally use ROM in English, I feel more uncomfortable with ROM in Spanish and English I was not sorry.
It is a matter of habit.

If anyone knows and wants to translate a ROM in catalan therefore welcome this community, that certainly can help others companion to translate ROM

There are hundreds of languages but only cook 4 or 5 languages

No veo porque hay que entrar en discucion por esto, en el mundo existe muchisimos idiomas que por desgracia perjudican la comunicacion entre las gentes, pero tampoco hay que poner travas en fomentar los idiomas, ni tampoco imponerlos.
Yo personalmente uso ROM en ingles, es mas me siento incomodo con ROM en español y yo no se apena ingles.
Es cuestion de costumbre.
Si alguien sabe y quiere traducir una ROM en catalan pues bienvenido sea a esta comunidad, que seguro que podra ayudar a otros compañero a traducir ROM
Hay cientos de idiomas sin embargo solo se cocinan 4 o 5 idiomas
