iGo8, Problem with second start

I have the newest version of iGo 8 and it works perfectly! The graphic interface is fantastic and everything runs smoothly and extremly fast.

The only problem i have is that i cannot start it a second time! When i start my Polaris (WM 6.0 standard rom) and click for THE FIRST TIME on iGo 8, it will work like a charm! After the first usage i click on the icon to exit the program. Everything seems ok an iGo8 closes itself but when i want to use it later for the SECOND time, the startscreen will appear and it will load until the message in the Screen will show "STARTING".

Then nothing happens, the screen goes black and i have to soft reset my polaris! After the reset it will work again, but only the first time i am starting iGo8!

What can be the problem here?

sounds like iGO save some wrong configuration, install it again and save the configfile before starting it the first time, then compare the files with the one of second start... this is what i would try

my suggestion is, that you try going to HKLM/software/igo8 and check for the registry keys. write down the keys and see if anything changes before the first run and the second run. if something changes maybe you should hardreset or reinstall.

i had the same problem when i enabled the animated menu. after disabling, i didn't have this problem again.

hi, some of this problem is caused by corrupted POI data, so try to delete that POI folder (do a backup if you want before deletion).

Indeed this solved my problem! I just deactivated the animated menu and now i can start it several times without any problem!

After your comment i just wanted to test my POI data and igo8 shows that there is NO poi available! My Poi data is in StorageCard/igo8/content/poi/ and there are pois for every country in europe.

Where do i have to put my poi so that i can use them?

Igo8 only shows me two directories, one named "contact" the other named default" and both of them are empty!

What about the file "poi_visibilities" ? What should be in there?
