Hey Guys

I have been trying to install the WM6.1 Update

PDA and eboot both go on fine but whent tries to install the phone rom Mirage says

im using XP SP2

I have uninstalled both active sync and the samsung usb driver and reinstalled it lots of times, active sync is set to not allow usb connections


any one have anything i can try? i have done it with a number of different rom versions (DXHH1, PUHE1) but still get the same error

any help?

u need the modem driver... search for:

I have that

its installed ok

I installed AS 4.5 then the samsung driver

opened as 4.5 turned off usb connections

loaded the phone.bin into mirage hit detect then reboot the phone

screen comes up saying phone image downloading but the mirage gives the errors above


EDIT : - I think i have it sorted - when the phone was in bootloader mode i updated the new device that was showing and it started working - WOO HOO

i have i780 FR I TRIED TO FLASH IT NOW THE PHONE IS ON POSITION OFF CAN NOT ACTIVATE IT NEED I THINK PHONE.BIN TO REFLASH PHONE PLEAS HELP
PS IHAVE A FIREWALL SO IF YOU CAN SEND IT BY ATTACHEMENT IT WILL BE KIND I CANT OPEN SHER OR MEGAUPLOAD

1) Turn off the unit.
2) Take out the battery. Leave it for 1 minute.
3) Place back the battery.
4) Do hard reset combo button (Red + Green + Power On button)
5) Complete the WM6 configuration, turn off the phone.
6) Remove the battery. Leave it for 1 minute.
7) Place back the battery and do your ROM update via Mirage or .EXE file.

Hello, i have the same problem can't activate phone part. I was sleeping while i selected pda rom from phone on mirage...!!!So i bricked phone part!
Now the big problem is windows don't recognize samsung modem, i also reinstalled the drivers some times without success...

What can i do.......??????I'm going really crazy!!!
Is there anyone that can explain to me a possible solution step by step?

Sorry for my bad english...!!!
Its kinda easy. Open folder with samsung cdma drivers u have installed and launch uninstall executive. Wait untill progres is finish. Then start updater and when phone part is going to try to flash, open "devices" in system, and uninstall cdma modem driver manually. then reset pc.
Afterwards install driver again. flash!
Success!

There in no way i can see samsung cdma modem installed..... :(
While mirage switch to phone mode, xp make the "disconnect sound" but on pheripals management doesn't appears the modem device!!!!

I will try with another computer....

May be possible there no solution because phone part is missing do is impossible to recognize the modem....???????

I got it fixed in Germany by sending it to somebody with the Riff Jtag Box.
