View Full Version : For ppl upgraded to windows xp sp3 and cannot use activesync

I just figured out that it was due to my firewall settings.
You must add 4 parts of your activesync software into "trusted"...then everything is fine.
Reply here if you cannot figure it out.

but they have inbound TCP & outbound UDP specifications in there and I took off zone alarm cuz it doesn't have advanced rules and I put on PCToolsFirewall instead which does have that feature but I can't figure out how2 put in the inbound TCP and outbound UDP it says in the above url ...anyone know?

Can someone explain the steps to have activesync to work with wm phones?? please...?

Dear I was facing the same problem but the problem was resolved when i uninstalled the active synch => go to program folder => microsoft active sync folder, and deleted all the items in this folder. I installed the active synch 4.5 again and now its working in my Win XP SP 3. There is no need to restart your computer.
