Hi guys,

I have a HTC 3600 (Trinity) in white and have a had a great time "playing" with it, upgrading the ROMS occasionally and adding plenty of addons and software etc. I love(ed) it. But I think now is the time to upgrade, but the question is... To What?

I''ve scanned through the forum for advice and personal opinians etc and all I can find is recommendations and references to:

- HTC Touch Cruise
- HTC TyTN II
- Hermes 8125
- HTC Tilt

I dont like the HTC Tilt because it looks too big/bulky - very much reminds me of the first Nokia COmmunicator (lol)

But What about the HTC Touch Diamond is that a better version of the HTC Touch Cruise?

My present phone was just the right size (medium, but not too bulky).

The main features I liked about my trinity:
+ Windows Mobile software
+ Touchscreen (no keyboard)
+ 2-sided Camera (although it was a poor MP)
+ Internal GPS / TomTom
+ GPRS
+ WiFi
+ External memory card (Mini SD - I have a 4Gb card, it would be nice to reuse it)
+ Nice colour (white instead of the common black/grey)
+ Support for custom ROM's etc

Is it me or do the 'new' phones lack in available colours? they just appear to be the dark grey/black shiny... are the no better colours for these phones? I loved my HTC 3600 in white!

Does anyone care to offer me any reccomendations? I tend to go with something that several people have recommended (my theory is if 5 people say a particular phone is good and only 3 people say another is good, I tend to follow the majority).

Thanks for your help.

Is anyone willing to help me out a bit here? Just a few one-liner reply's would go a long way.

Thanks.

I have a Touch Cruise and I'm really happy with it. It might be a bit to big, but I just have to face the fact that it's more then just a cellphone ;) Still fits in my pocket with no problems at all.

It has lots of feature and feels really fast and powerful. I can recommend it to you without regrets! :D

But this is my first HTC and my first advanced device, so I don't have any reference points. I have it and I'm happy ;)

if you like expansion slot, touch cruise is the way to go, but you might face the microSD slot does not close properly or does not read the card. my first one the slot does not close, keep on popping the card out, second one does not read and recognize any card, the third one finally work properly, but the wheel is broken :( so i got a tytn ii instead :p

I went from a Trinity to a Touch Diamond, and can really recommend it. What you lose it in the transition: expandable memory (no SDHC cards, my memory halved form 8GB to 4GB), scroll wheel, huge battery. What you gain: a much smaller form factor, a VGA screen (has to be seen to be believed), TouchFlo3D, the flush touchscreen, and a (subjectively) faster fix with GPS.

If you want something with a larger screen go for the recently-leaked Touch HD.

I would recommend Universal for all over any other phone/PDA
I know is a little bulky, but the lovely VGA 3.5" screen, 524mhz processor and itīs beautyfull keyboard makes me forget about the size easily. works perfect for buisness and pleassure

Oh wowwww, the Touch HD looks so beautiful! I dont know if I can wait 3 months... or at least 4 months before it surfaces in the UK. :(

Should I wait?
